Review: I had Mr. [redacted], who was advertised in the phone book come and do an estimate for a flooring job in my summer home in Selbyville Delaware. He gave me his business card and an estimate of $800.00 on June 14, 2014. I notified him by phone on July 10, 2014 of my desire for his services. We set up the dates of 07/24/2014 and 07/25/2014 for the job to be done and he wanted a pre payment of $478.00 to purchase supplies. A check was sent to him on July 11, 2014, and cashed on 07/16/2014. He did not show up on 07/24/2014. When he was contacted by phone he stated he thought we wanted the job to be done on 07/26/2014. He claimed he had a concrete job that needed done on 07/25/2014 that he could not get out of. He was told if he did not show up on 07/25/2014 a refund would be requested of him. He did not show on 07/25/2014. When contacted on Friday 07/25/2014 he was left a message on his voicemail. He called back that evening and stated he could refund the money as soon as he returned the supplies. He was asked if he could complete the job on Saturday 07/26/2014 as he originally said he could do, and his answer was yes, and that he would be there at 9 a.m. He never showed again and the phone number for the business now has an automated answering service of "the party that you are trying to reach is unavailable, please try back later."Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my money and for his business to be removed from any advertising so he can not be fraudulent to another innocent person.
