Rescue Appliance came to repair a clothes washer. I asked the woman who answered how much they charged to come out and just see if it was able to be saved. She told me that they would tell me and that it would be a $75 charge. A young technician came out and without informing me put a part on the washer and charged me $180.00. I ran the washer immediately after he left and it was running worse than it was before. Another 2 men came out and informed me that it was the agitator and that it would be another $75.00. I told them I didn't think it was the agitator but they insisted. They then sent the younger technician back out when the agitator came in and he told me after he installed it that it wasn't the agitator and that the washer wasn't any good. I also advised him immediately to take the original part off the washer because it wasn't working and he told me they couldn't use it so he wasn't taking it. I called the office immediately to inform them. I was told several times I would get a refund. Since calling and texting several times, I was told he'd call a certain day never received any calls. I was told he was out of town one time, than he just left the office another. I would advise the Revdex.com and the attorney general to look into this because I seen that the Revdex.com got another complaint very similar to mine.

We always appreciate feedback but we would also like to make sure all details are in order. The total you mentioned includes the service fee for the original diagnostic ($80), which at that time, the unit was running. It also includes the labor. A part was replaced and charged. We have a warranty period for service, which we were contacted within and unfortunately, that single piece did not complete the repair. It was stated that a different piece was needed, for which there would be no charge for the part or labor or service fee and would be ordered. You asked that we wait an additional month to return, due to finances. After that time, we attempted contact to no avail. Once contact was made and we returned, it was noticed that the machine had been run excessively and caused additional issues. This is also after two scheduled appointments that a technician was at your home and no one answered the door nor the phone, which again, were no additional charges for missed appointments. Which normally would have been $25 per missed appointment not due to the company or technician fault. The unit can be repaired but now needs more parts than originally required. All made and missed appointment schedules, technician logs and phone call records are available if they are needed. We upheld our warranty by returning at no additional charge for the made and missed appointments. The machine had been run for nearly 2 month before she let us return to put in the part required, which we still have in stock at this moment. During the time we waited to return, she did contact us about cancelling the part, but we had already ordered the piece. She was stating that she could not afford the piece and it was told to her that there was no charge for the additional part (a $75 agitator). Continuously running the machine without the needed new piece caused additional issues, that when we finally were able to schedule her to return, it caused additional damage. The breakdown of the only charges that were paid:Diagnostic/Service fee (1 time only) $80Labor cost for part $60Original part cost $40Total $180No additional charges for the missed appointments, returns or additional part needed to repair if we were allowed to return in a prompt manner.Warranty is 30 days for service and 60 days for part.

This company is fraudulent and a scam. If you read the lies in their letter they are saying that the machine was run several times, the machine WAS NOT working immediately after their "FIXING IT". I have a video taped with the date and time showing how the machine was NOT RUNNING as soon as they walked out the door from their first "FIXING IT". They then tried to charge me an additional $70 for an additional part and the machine was still not running (JUST LIKE THEY DID TO THE OTHER PERSON THAT FILED A COMPLAINT WITH YOU). This must be their ongoing scam. This nonsense of me delaying because of finances makes ABSOLUTELY NO LOGICAL sense. Why would I be waiting for finances if they weren't charging me for additional repairs. Their lies just continue on and on. I also have messages and texts on my phone that COMPLETELY contradict their claims. I have filed a complaint with the ATTORNEY GENERAL and plan to file a lawsuit on the basis of fraud and due to medical conditions I am not to be stressed out and someone STEALING MY MONEY is stressing me out so I will also file for mental stress. I will seek doctor bills also. Thank You

I had a broken clothes washer in our home. We called Rescue appliance to help repair the unit. They should up at our house on 3 different occasions. Each time explaining we need a different new part. When all said an done we paid 250.00 dollars for these new parts. After the 3rd visit and about a total of 3 weeks to a month I finally decided to purchase a new unit. Repair appliance made me aware that all there work was warrantied. But when it came time to receive a return on our money it never happened. I called them 3 different times asking about our return on their service. They did call me back once explaining there was a mistake in mailing the check. Which I have the voice mail from but a check never arrived. As a consumer looking for a service we did nothing wrong. We paid up front and was very patient on waiting for them to fix the unit. We are not looking for all the money back. I understand initial visit cost money and gas isn't free. Even after I purchased the new unit I called Repair Appliance to see if they wanted my old unit so they can pull new parts off so they can return. But they never called me back.

Complaint ***Thomas K Dear ***,We apologize for the delay in response to your letter. We do not dispute that the customer should have received a partial refund for work on their appliance.Unfortunately, there was an issue at our company that disrupted that return. We are a very small company and the original refund was delayed. The personnel that was to issue the check, has been terminated due to misappropriation of funds. This has been rectified.I, as the owner, will personally send a refund to our customer. We pride ourselves on our trustworthiness and character and this is the first time this has ever happened. It will also be the last time this will ever happen.Thank you and I may be contacted at your convenience at or .Thomas KRescue Appliance Repair
