Scare tactic mail claims Insurance Deadline Final Notice when I do not have insurance with them. Leads me to think they require a payment.Scare tactic mail similar to email or scam to get an individuals attention and take information or money from them when they really have not valid reason for doing so. The mailing size is a card board or heavy paper 8.5 x 11 taking up much of the space in the mail box. Desired SettlementChange to postage size and remove false scare tactic to get business or people to call to get business.Business Response In regards to the bulk mail advertisements, neither management nor ownership at Rescue Roofing Specialists approved such a technique. This "mailer" was sent out by an independent contractor who had just begun working with us, whom failed to request approval to use the "Rescue Roofing Specialists" name before utilizing such an approach. As soon as management and ownership were made aware, this contractor was advised to cease such advertising. Management and ownership has not and will not approve of this manner of advertising, as we pride ourselves in fair and honest representation to our potential and existing customers.

I would like my Roof/Shingles installed the way they are suppose to be done. There are big black nails nailed to the front roof that looks horrible. The tornado hit durham around May 15, 2014 and some of the houses in the neighborhood had roof damages. [redacted] came to my house and told me that my roof/shingles needed replacing. I contacted my insurance company and they started the work July 2014. I called them July, August, September, November complaining about the roof. They came 2 times and nailed the shingles down that started coming up. I told them that the front of the house was not put up correctly. There are big black nails sticking out that makes the house look awful. I have pictures of the way it should be done. I was told there was nothing they could do when I know is not true. I want my roof/shingles done the way it is suppose to be done. Today a piece of material fell off the top of the roof to the ground. Desired SettlementI want a professional roofer to come and examine the roof/shingles and make sure that the job is done correctly and to my satisfaction. At this time, they did an awful job.Business Response Rescue Roofing Specialists (RRS) takes great pride in providing superior customer service and workmanship to each and every one of our customers, including said customer who has filed this complaint. She is correct in that we did assist her after her home was damaged by the tornado in May of 2014. Said customer received her total insurance settlement upfront, although RRS only received $1500 of the discounted work order amount of $3661.88 as a down payment. Once said customer's roof was repaired in July, there were multiple complaints, which said customer acknowledges we addressed. The last issue to which said customer refers to, is a cosmetic issue of a different color caulking protecting the nails fastening the flashing to the home. Said customer's original flashing was painted the same color as her home. There is no caulking that matches exterior paint used on homes. Said customer would need to purchase matching paint, and RRS would be more than pleased to paint her flashing for her. Said customer was given that option, and once the suggestion of payment of the balance of $2161.88 was made, RRS employees were unable to reach her. The field representative, office staff, and RRS's installer never received any return calls. Said customer did not attempt to reach the staff until January 20th, the same day the complaint was filed, at which point she stated a "shingle fell off during the rain." Leaving a message for a service call and filing a complaint on the same day did not give RRS sufficient time to address said customer's newest issue. As stated previously, RRS takes customer service and job quality very seriously, and we would be more than happy to address any issues said customer may have. RRS does, however, request final balance of $2161.88 to be paid immediately following any repairs deemed necessary, as said customers account is now over 6 months past due.Consumer Response This company is full of mistruths. The roof was not repaired in July.I did not acknowledge that all work was done. The installers never contacted me on several occasions. They never returned my telephone calls. As far as the insurance check, I did not pay them the balance because the work was not complete. I was not going to give them full payment until the job was done. They never sent me a bill for the balance because they knew that the job was not complete. I never received a bill for the balance they said was "6 months past due" because they knew they did a terrible job. I will pay them the balance as soon as the job is done to my satisfaction. Final Business Response Our customer's shingle installation took place on July 18. On August 7, management received word that said customer was displeased with the appearance of her shingles and flashing, which is a cosmetic issue. A service work order was forwarded to the RRS installer. The installer called said customer in route to the property but received no answer. The installer inspected the roof and found no issues with the shingle installation, but did note the difference in the color of the caulking protecting the nails versus the color of the exterior paint on the home. Said customer called the installer back, at which time the installer relayed his findings. At this time, management was not made aware that said customer was still unhappy and asked the representative who was working with said customer to make contact regarding payment of final balance. Our representative attempted to contact him/her via phone to no avail. Staff at Rescue Roofing Specialists is not aware of any other incoming telephone calls since before the fall/winter holiday season, until the phone call said customer placed on January 20, 2015, reporting a shingle had "fallen off." Rescue Roofing Specialists ownership received the Revdex.com complaint before a technician could get out to inspect the issue. Rescue Roofing Specialists' president and owner has personally been in touch with said customer, and has had a meeting scheduled for Tuesday January 27, 2014 since last week. Rescue Roofing Specialists has responded to each issue reported in the past, and still has every intention to work with said customer to ensure satisfaction with our workmanship. As stated previously, Rescue Roofing Specialists takes great pride in providing superior customer service and job quality. Management and ownership are very dismayed in said customer's dissatisfaction, and are working diligently to ensure their approval of the services we have provided.
