Same as other complaints I was contacted via email by a "Francisco C***" to purchase a motorcycle I had advertised for sale on *** (*** **) Francisco asked for a service report, then pressured me to purchase a "VIN Report" for him in order to proceed with the sale His email asked for a report from "***" however clicking on his link takes you to a website to called "***" which appears to be a clone of "***" He claims this site is cheaper than *** and agrees to pay me back for the report if we make a deal on the motorcycle
This is a scam THROUGH and THROUGH Doing a web search of "***" returns no results for any such website You are redirected to "***" This is a phishing scam looking for your credit card info STAY AWAY!!
For whatever it's worth, his phishing scam occurred on CHRISTMAS EVE There is a special place in hell for people who conduct scams on Christmas Eve

This company uses phishing techniques (specifically for sites such as Craigslist) Someone continues to contact you regarding the sale of your vehicle or motorcycle and proceeds to send you the website link to purchase a VIN report in order to proceed with the purchase Once you get the report for them (24.99) they never contact you again They know what they're doing in pushing their product this way, but it is not ethical and is a complete scam for sales of their "VIN report products" If you need a VIN report go somewhere else if someone asks for one, not this company

This place is a SCAMI posted an ad on craigslist to sell my car, and I had a lady named Destiny O*** email me saying she was interested in my car and wanted a service reportAfter I provided her the service reports, she stated that she appreciates it but she would like me to go to *** and get a service report from there because it was cheaper than carfax, and that she wanted to look at the car tomorrow and if the service report was clean she would reimburse me for the price of the reportI agreed and paid for this report, the confirmation said that I would get my service report emailed to me within a few minNEVER GOT THE REPORTI immediately knew something was wrong so I googled reviews on this site and everything said it was a scamPeople pose as citizens interested in a craigslist vehicle and they scam you into paying for that reportI paid $and have cancelled my credit card and contacted the support email about getting a refund and havent gotten anythin
