The customer purchased the Buick Park Avenue with 184,miles on September 2, At the time of purchase I explained to the customer that the car is sold “as is” with no warranty; this is also noted on the customer’s documentation that he signed on the day of purchase The
customer did ask me about the gauges and I told him that he should get the temperature gauge fixed so that he would be aware if the car was overheating; I did not tell the customer that the car was safe to drive in its present condition At the time, given my response to his question, I felt certain that he understood that the temperature gauge must be fixed The customer did call me in October stating that the car overheated and he nearly had an accident He was angry and rude and I told him again that he bought the car “as is” and that he had more than days to get the temperature gauge repaired I had not heard from him since that call I have been in business since and have never had a complaint such as this and never an issue reported to the Revdex.com; I stand behind my vehicles and work hard to have good customer satisfaction If the customer had called or come to the car lot and spoke reasonably there would have been a very different outcome to this situation Thank you,
