Reserve at St. Johns River

Charter Landing has horrible service for their tennants that give them paychecks. Without us they wouldnt have a job. But we lived here for 2 years now and have had nothing but trouble with the place. We have squirrels in the roof and wakes us up in the middle of the night. The squirrels pushed the light socket out in the utility closet and got into our stuff(yes we have complained about this a lot). Now my A/C is not working and my daughter has asma. When it gets stuffy it is hard for her to breath. They still have not came and fixed it yet. They really dont care about us but when their stuff breaks it gets fixed right away

The management is doing its best to bilk me out of money. My lease expired on January 31, 2018. I usually receive notification of this prior. After paying my rent on March 1 I was told the lease had expired in January and there is a month-to-month charge of $100 with a credit of 6.48 bringing the total to 193.52. This was brought to my attention after an entire month passed. When talking to management on March 1 I asked if there was any way the fees could be waved. Management told me they would get back to me and I can sign a new lease after the apartment was inspected. A week later I called back to follow up. The employee who answered the phone was the one who does the inspections. I made an appointment to have my apartment inspected for the next day. She transferred me the the main manger and the main manager said I am going to be charged an additional $100 as a late fee bringing it to $293.52 . She said she told me to come to the office on March 3 to get my apartment inspected and sign a new lease. I told her I was not told to come to the office. I told her I was home on the first, second, and third. I told her if I knew I had to come to the office I would have. She said she would take the $100 late fee off bringing the fees to 193.52. I have an appointment tomorrow for the inspection and will immediately sign the new lease and request a copy of not just the old lease and new lease but also a statement showing what my check has covered for February and March. I feel like I could have avoided both the $100 month-to-month fee and the $100 late fee if this was brought to my attention in February. What I find suspicious is how the main manager will say she told me something I know is not true. This could have been resolved in February.
