I would not recommend this business to anyoneThere are several reasons detailed below the make the competencies and honesty of the employees of this business questionable at best:
- I requested a Ford extended warranty on my FThe salesperson tried to sell me a Cam Clark warranty without telling me that I was NOT getting a Ford warrantyWhen I caught this and insisted on a Ford warranty the salesperson tried to insist that a Cam Clark warranty was the same
- I came in to have an oil and filter change done at KMThe "service adviser" decided to give my vehicle an "inspection" that included an oil and filter changeI wound up paying for an oil and filter change as well as an inspection that was not need
- Service advisers at the dealership as well as other personnel did not know the location of the tire jackIt's fairly well hidden but dealer personnel should know where it is
- There were stress cracks in the windshield that magically appeared at different times while the vehicle was parkedIn both cases, personnel insisted that the cracks were due to rock chipsThis was despite the fact that there was no signature to the cracks that remotely resembled the tell-tale characteristics of damage caused be a rock
5- The remote starter fails when temperatures fall below about -CI tried numerous tests to determine what was happeningThis included standing beside the driver side front door(I am a Certified Engineering Technologist is Electronics)I detailed the information to the "service adviser"None of the information was passed to the technician Furthermore, the technician did not do any troubleshooting as witnessed by noting an elapsed time of minutes for service and the comment the customer may have been too far away
6- A second visit for a remote starter failure resulted in essentially no action taken
I would only not recommend Cam Clark Ford to anyone but more importantly, I recommend that everyone avoids doing business with this dealershipAny dealer can sell a vehicle and do a good job of thatChanging oil is also not very challenging
It is when there are issues that need real competence that one learns of the true capabilities of the personnel as well as the honesty and quality of the customer service providedIn the case of Cam Clark Ford, in my opinion, gets a failing grade on all measures of serviceIn short, Cam Clark Ford offers "Customer disservice"
I have written to the president Ford of Canada, Ms Diane Craig, detailing my complaints with both the Ford Motor Company and the dealers that I have dealt withI hope that this will result in a positive outcome but I won't hold my breath
