We are very concerned about the details of your complaintPlease contact *** ***, our customer service manager to resolve this issue

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response. As for *** ***'s allegation that I did not contact him with concerns, I contacted him on at least two occasions regarding the hotel ratesHe did not follow up, as he advised by phone that he would do during our initial phone conversation about the matter, resulting in my contacting him for follone week laterHe then provided an emailed response, indicating that basically the hotel charges were valid--despite the rate indicated on the hotel's receipt to meAs for *** ***'s response that Resort World Pass has no liability with regard to the Hertz rental, I would assume that Resort World Pass at least tries to stay informed about the vendors it utilizes to provide travel servicesThe address given to me by Resort World Pass' confirmation for this car rental was completely incorrect, and when I attempted to address the situation with Resort World Pass' customer service department I received nothing but contradiction and argument.I previously attempted to resolve my initial concerns in response to my first Revdex.com complaint peacefully with the company--especially with *** ***'s genuine reaction to my allegations: "we just don't need this kind of negative publicity." The previous complaint is as follows:I previously submitted the following complaint to Revdex.com after my spouse and I attended a sales presentation at Resort World Pass: "Complaint: I have been cheated out of the "free" cruise for and round-trip airline tickets promised to me by Resort World PassMy spouse and I attended a timeshare presentation on 02/29/at Resort World Pass in San Antonio, TX, having been initially advised that we would receive a "free" 7-night cruise for on one of two cruise lines, as well as "free" round-trip airfare tickets within the continental U.SWe were further advised that we would be responsible for taxes, port fees, and incidental expenses incurred with the airline/cruise lineUpon attending the presentation we were not given our cruise/airline tickets but were instead given a form to be sent to Gunn Marketing Group, Incin Tarpon Springs, FLI sent this form via certified mail and approximately days later received another form from Gunn Marketing Group to redeem each of the two prizes we had been offeredThe forms indicated that each of the two prizes could be claimed by mailing in a $activation fee per person and a $reservation processing fee per person--for each of the two formsThis made a total of $we have thus far paid for our "free" vacation--and only after months of strife managed to get our $refunded by Gunn Marketing Group, who ultimately asserted that it is not responsible but that Resort World Pass is solely responsible for their representation of the offerAlthough this was not what I was initially promised, I mailed this money to them certified mail and awaited my cruise tickets/airline tickets in the mail from Gunn Marketing GroupShortly thereafter I received in the mail from Capitol Marketing Concepts and "compliments of Gunn Marketing Group" ANOTHER reservation request form--for my cruiseThe fine print on the back of the form indicated that my spouse and I would need to send the completed form along with $per guest (for the 7-night cruise) to cover "port fees, government taxes, and other fees", as well as another $reservation processing fee per personIf we were to do so, we would have paid to Capitol Marketing Concepts/Gunn Marketing Group $1,150--a bit more than the "free" we were initially promised--and certainly much more than the cruise lines mentioned in the offer charge for taxes, port fees, etc(see attached)We also received the airline form, which included provisions similar to those in the cruise form (i.e., another $per person for supposedly taxes)I researched typical cruise rates on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and for a 7-night cruise port fees, government taxes, etcfor a week-long cruise from our nearest port of departure, Galveston, TX, range from approximately $to roughly $This proves that the fees mentioned in the form to be paid to Capitol Marketing Concepts do, indeed, vary from cruise to cruiseI do not feel that I have been treated fairly by Resort World Pass, which initially promised a "free" 7-night cruise for two and two round-trip airline tickets within the continential U.SI have been given the run-around by Resort World Pass, Gunn Marketing Group, and Capitol Marketing ConceptsI do not wish to have to resort to legal action or filing a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission but will do so if not provided with the offer, which we were promisedDesired Settlement: I demand that Resort World Pass fulfill their promise in providing me with the 7-night cruise for two and two round-trip airline tickets. Business Response: Many points made in this complaint don't make sense to usTo begin with, we don't sell timesharesWe would also mention that we were unaware that there was any problem at all until receiving this complaintWe have made multiple attempts to contact this client without successPlease contact our local customer service team and we will do everything possible to resolve this situation to your satisfaction. Consumer Response: Complaint: *** I am rejecting this response because: I was contacted on 05/18/by *** *** of Resort World Pass, who called me at 10:AM (this is the only time I have been contacted about this complaint by any representative of Resort World Pass) and explained to me that all calls at Resort World Pass are recordedHe initially approached the telephone call with seeming concern for my situation and expressed regret that I had filed a complaint with the Revdex.com, inquiring as to why I had not previously contacted Resort World Pass about the issueI explained to him that per Resort World Pass's instructions on the day my spouse and I attended the sales presentation, we sent the voucher form given to us to Gunn Marketing Group as Resort World Pass verbally advisedI further explained the background of the situation since I had originally attended the sales presentation at Resort World Pass in February 2016, including that both Gunn Marketing Group and Capitol Marketing Concepts maintain that Resort World Pass is ultimately responsible for providing what they promisedMr*** then inquired what I would like for Resort World Pass to do about the situation, and I explained to him that I want the original "reward" guaranteed to me--both verbally and in writing--for attending the sales presentationAs presented in my Revdex.com complaint against Gunn Marketing Group, the terms of the offer frequently changed--both verbally and in writingHaving been called by a representative several days before the sales presentation at Resort World Pass, I was "guaranteed" a 7-day cruise on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines or Carnival Cruise Lines, as well as two round-trip coach airline tickets within the continental United StatesWhen I mentioned this to Mr*** his reply to me was, "you don't have any documentation, showing that you're getting anything for free." However, the email confirmation of the appointment states a different prize: round-trip airline tickets, hotel & rental car (see attached)It further specifies that we are "guaranteed" this prize for attending the sales presentationHowever, at the end of the sales presentation we were not presented with our airline tickets and the other prizes mentioned but were instead presented with a voucher form, instructed to select a prize from the available offers on the form, and to mail it to Gunn Marketing Group, who would then deliver the prize offeredAs stated in my other Revdex.com complaint against Gunn Marketing Group, we were not sent the prizes but instead sent an "activation form", to be sent with $Upon sending this in as instructed on the form, we were again sent another form, which requested even more moneyI advised Mr*** much as I did Gunn Marketing Group--that I do not at all mind paying applicable taxes, port fees, and incidental expenses (this is specified in the offer), but I am NOT willing to pay more than I and others would if they booked a cruise and airline tickets on their own (Gunn Marketing Group was requesting $per person, in addition to the $I had already paid them)I explained this at great length to Mr*** during our call and offered to give him an additional opportunity to deliver what was promised for attending the sales presentation, but he instead began arguing with meSpecifically, he implied that I have no recourse to pursue further actions against Resort World Pass, and when I mentioned the prospect of involving the Federal Trade Commission to further investigate the issue, his response was "good luck with that" and telling me that the Federal Trade Commission does not investigate travel scams (their website says otherwise)I advised Mr*** that I am open to resolving the matter but would not tolerate him arguing the matter with me combativelyAfter he continued doing so I ended the callMr*** then attempted immediately thereafter to call me back to further argue the matter and to harass me, but I did not answer the callSubsequent to speaking with Mr*** I initiated formal complaints with both the Federal Trade Commission and the State of Texas Attorney General's officeUpon further researching these types of deceptive business practices I discovered the following video news story, which illustrates my experience with Resort World Pass almost exactly: http://abcnews.go.com/Business/happened-decided-follow-free-vacation-mail-offer/... am attaching all remaining documents not previously submitted with this complaint, including documents provided to me by Resort World Pass to confirm the appointment and to claim the prizes, as well as the subsequent forms I received from Gunn Marketing Group & Capitol Marketing Concepts, which both claim that they are not responsible for how Resort World Pass presents their offers but that Resort World Pass is solely responsibleThank you for including these documents and this information in my complaintRespectfully, *** ** *** Business Response: Complaint #*** from Mr*** *** has been resolved and he would like to request that it be removed as a published complaintThank you very much for your help in this regard. Consumer Response: Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me." When I spoke with Mr*** ***, CEO of Resort World Pass, about the complaint, I had expressed to him that I was interested in Resort World Pass's service but was deterred because Resort World Pass did not deliver on its promise when we attended the presentation to provide the 7-day cruise and round-trip airline ticketsHe and I conjointly agreed upon a reduced-fee Resort World Pass membership arrangement as the terms for mutually resolving my Revdex.com complaint, for *** *** expressed that paying for the cruise and airline tickets would pose undue financial hardship for Resort World PassI told him that I wanted to be as accommodating as I could in resolving the issue." I attempted to "give [Resort World Pass] a second chance", as *** *** implored me to do, by doing business with his company, rather than insisting upon the marketing reward, which was originally offered for attending the company's sales presentationI would strongly urge anyone considering doing business or attending one of its presentations in exchange for a "free" vacation (or anything else, for that matter) to reconsider before committing yourself to such deceptive trade practicesNever again!

Wednesday September 2 2015 Revdex.com corporate office 1005 La Posada Dr. Austin, Texas 78752 Dear Ms. [redacted], In response to complaint ID number [redacted], I would like to offer the following information: The complainant was not contacted by our company, but was in fact contacted by an outside marketing...

agency that was hired by our company to generate clients to our sales center. This marketing agency offers a scratch off "match and win" contest which is fully insured in the event that there is a grand prize winner. Every client is told that they won 1 of 4 prizes (an automobile, cash, a 7 night cruise for two, or a flat screen TV). In this particular case, the winning ticket of the complainant matched a seven night cruise for two and she was given her certificate. Despite our best efforts to clarify the situation, the complainant maintained that she had been told that she could pick her choice of any of the four prizes and therefore, she chose the car. We have utilized this marketing company for the better part of the year now and this is the first time that we have had a client that did not understand. The best possible publicity for our company will occur when someone wins the automobile, but unfortunately this was not the case with the complainant. Regards, RWP Customer Service Dept.

Mr. [redacted], Yes, you previously complained to the Revdex.com about the incentive that was offered to you. You had been offered two tickets and a cruise and there were certain restrictions and fees associated with the incentive, all of which by your admission were disclosed to you. When you issued your...

initial complaint with the Revdex.com, you had not made any attempt to contact us to resolve the issue. You in fact used the complaint as a means to demand two round trip airline tickets from San Antonio to a regional airport in West Virginia, during 4th of July weekend!!! In other words, the most expensive domestic tickets that you could find. You then parlayed that experience into a heavily discounted membership. A membership I might add, you have not paid the 1st dollar for.... You have since used the membership, received benefit form it but had a bad experience at a Hertz rental car location. It is standard practice for Hertz to charge a deposit when a client is utilizing a debit card for a rental as opposed to a credit card. Clearly, you were utilizing a debit card, otherwise there would have been no overdraft to your account as you claim. We are a discount travel agency, we do not set policies for Hertz rental cars. Unfortunately, once again you chose to not make us aware of the situation with Hertz, you again went straight to the Revdex.com to complain and now you are suggesting that because of this inconvenience, we should give you the membership for free. We try our very best to please our members, but on rare occasions, we are unsuccessful. If you have any situation that arrises in the future with regards to your membership we stand ready to assist.

It troubles me greatly that customers go to the Revdex.com site and issue a complaint, having made no effort to contact us first and let us know that there is a problem. One would think that they would call or write us first. Is this something that you find occurs with other businesses?   I...

have tried to reach out to the client and have been unable to speak with them.
