Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2015/03/24) */
June 19/14 [redacted] came in with a horrendous noise from transmission area, car was still mobile. He was told the transmission would need to be removed to be certain it was the throw-out bearing. The next day June 20/14 it was removed and [redacted]...

supplied the bearing and it was installed, no more noise. [redacted] was back on Oct. 14/14 and Oct 29/14 for other maintance with no mention of the noise returning. On Dec 8/14 he returned wih no clutch (car disabled, different issue) The clutch master cyl was replaced, which doesn't require transmission removal. [redacted] and his father came in approximately Jan 15/14 and accused us of not replacing the bearing back in June. I told them that was ridiculous. They showed me the bearing they had removed and a picture they had gotten somewhere. I have since ordered a bearing, same part # and same supplier. Sure enough it looks exactly the same as the one they removed and not the one in the picture. (see attached invoice's showing [redacted] invice and oures (same part #) I also took [redacted] a bearing we removed from another [redacted] so he could see what a worn one looks like. You can easily see the wear points on the old one and not on the one they removed. I understand [redacted] is having further cluch problems, however there are several pieces involved in the cluch and we replaced only one at that time. We fully understand the customers frustration with his car issues, however our LICENCED MECHANIC did install the part provided 9 months ago.

Ok first of all, That picture that he said we got somewhere is the Print out in the order file from [redacted] auto parts. IN which they only supply skf bearings, the part number is XXXXX[redacted],. Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2015/03/30) */
Invoice # XXXXXX is a reprint of a bearing purchased from [redacted] to a cash customer on June 20/14 (the same day the work was done). The note "to BobAllens" was indicated to send the copy here not the original purchase. Invoice #XXXXXX is the bearing purchased for comparison (same part #) for a 06 [redacted] The box has SKF written on it. The bearing does have in very small print [redacted] on it. I have attached a picture of this to show the print on the bearing.
I suggest [redacted] reorder the bearing himself from [redacted] and compare it to the one removed from the car. Or he can come here and see the one we ordered. As to the shift cables, we were repairing a noise in the transmission on June 20/14 which was repaired and did not return.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 12, 2015/04/07) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Sorry but this has turned into a He said / she said . However the employee with [redacted] Who ordered the bearing, With the bearing in question in his hand and stated to us that this was in no way the bearing ordered to be put in the car.[redacted] As to working on the noise in the trans, Any mech, would have noticed the broken cable when it had to be removed to get at the bearing. If the mechanic was licensed , [redacted] Would of looked into the cable as well .[redacted]
