I ordered several restaurant chairs and bar stools from Restaurant Furniture CanadaI was overall satisfied with the merchandise I purchased from them for my venueThe only complaint I have is that the items were delivered a little later than I anticipated

I would like to contest the negative reviews that were made about this commercial grade supplier. I have been doing business with Restaurant Furniture Canada for a while and my experience has been very positive. The customer support agent was very friendly and guided me through my purchases. The furniture they sell is exactly as they describe; high quality with long lasting durability. The items that I ordered from them were delivered on time. I am honestly baffled by the complaints as I am very happy with the services that Restaurant Furniture Canada has provided for me.

Note: Not a Canadian company in spite of the mis-leading company name! Production is in Indiana and Sales is based in Chicago.
After several difficult telephone conversations with various staff members of this company it became clear that I was not going to receive satisfactory response, customer support, nor any resolution regarding particularly poorly designed and failing chairs therefore I decided to tell you about this experience so that you can make a decision based real experience of a fellow entrepreneur.. If you are researching quality commercial grade products from a reliable supplier offering reasonable customer support my advice is to shop elsewhere. Almost 30% of the chairs that were shipped to my little coastal Inn catastrophically failed after minimal use. In fact 90% of the chairs showed cracking in the leg structures after I inspected them in detail following the first catastrophic failure which un-expectedly collapsed and dumped my 120 Lb wife onto the floor badly bruising her leg.
The Chairs looked nice and felt solid without showing any obvious damage on delivery (fully assembled). There were no signs of loose hardware and there were no indications from the supplier any requirement to re-torque any hardware upon delivery. The chairs underwent only very light use in a quiet B&B dining room only seasonally. After the first collapse I immediately inspected all of the chairs and was forced to remove 30% of them from service as they were about to collapse. The design of the attaching hardware and possibly the torque setting in initial assembly both seemed to contribute to the failures (all at the same attachment point). I contacted the company immediately and was shuttled from one staff to another with nebulous explanations regarding my claim. They requested an image of the failed chair which I provided then when I told them that they nearly all showed signs of cracking wood and several displayed signs of impending complete failure and that I was forced to remove several from service, they requested images of all of the chairs that were effected which I meticulously provided. At first it sounded like they were going to replace the chair that initially failed (re: "nebulous explanations") however when they received the images of all the failed and failing chairs they said that the torque on the hardware must not be correct but unfortunately the one-year warranty had passed by then so they were not going to approve any claims and that I should contact the company's owner which I did and from him after several emails I received a "[redacted]": the one-year warranty date has passed so there would be no support. Fair enough, the one year warranty had expired and so there is no recourse except to warn others from making the same mistake by buying these products from this company.
When one purchases commercial grade "restaurant" furniture one would expect that furniture to withstand commercial use and to last a reasonable period of time. These chairs saw only very light use and only for a combined total of 11 Months over two operating seasons and have a failure rate of 90%..... Deal with this company (not Canadian) at your own risk and do not trust sales staff claims of quality or customer support. [redacted]

If you thinking to order through this company, then it would be your biggest mistake of life.I order total $15,000 US of items and I have received 5 table top with damage.

I try to contact company, they try to give me $300 discount and ask me to use table top. Really !!!!. Their staff only know one world " Sorry, I can not do anything else ". Not only this, owner of company might be the last boss I might work with him.

I send him email to solve my problem. Did not get any single reply. Story does not end here, They took my money in advance and send me email after 1 month that they do not have item available. They force me to change my order otherwise charging me restocking fee for items which they are not able to ship me.

Not only this, company say They will send my order with in 15 days after I change my order so I did and I still did not get items in 3 weeks. I did cancel my restaurant opening twice because I did made big mistake of my life that I give order to this company only because of cheap price of furniture.

If you are reading, trust me, for saving of some money, DO NOT ORDER IN THIS COMPANY.

An order was placed by our company on Feb 24th, 2015 with Restaurant Furniture Canada. They accepted the order even though it didn't meet minimum order requirements because we were ordering samples so we could decide on what our preference was for our resort. 5 weeks later the furniture had not arrived. I called and emailed our sales rep and his manager several times. They would not respond. I finally called their customer service centre and refused to provide a phone number for them to call back. Finally on April 8th I was connected to my sales rep. He told me he didn't understand what had happened but that the order hadn't been processed. He was going to check with his manager and get back to me right away. That didn't happen. By end of business on the 8th of April I called and emailed again. No answer. On April 9th I called again and refused to leave a call back number. The lady in customer service was extremely rude and refused to put me through to my rep. She simply stated that our order has been rejected because it didn't meet minimum order requirements. I explained to her that the order had been accepted by both the sales rep and the manager based on the fact that we would be ordering more product once we viewed the pieces and made a decision on which ones we wanted. She not only refused to pay attention to what I was saying but kept talking over me. I finally asked to speak with the manager. She would not put me thru. I asked again and she pretended she did not hear my request. I asked again and she said that the department had made their decision and that they were not going to process our order. I asked again for the manager and she said he was unavailable. Unfortunately our resort will be opening soon for the season and we have been left scrambling for another supplier to purchase our product from. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND HAVE RUDE STAFF AND POOR COMPANY POLICY FOR DEALING WITH CUSTOMERS.

I am so glad I did not proceed with my order for restaurant chairs with this company. I was mislead to believe this was a Canadian Company. It is not. In the fine print in their policies it is actually from the USA, and the prices are not in Canadian dollars. The customer service staff did indicate this right from the start, but in a very rude way and this set off a red flag immediately. When I asked why they call themselves a Canadian company all over their website, but charge US dollars the rep admitted it was because the Canadian dollar is low now, so it is better to charge american prices for them.

Restaurant Furniture Canada was recommended by a colleague when I was inquiring about leads on restaurant furniture for my venue. I am overall impressed by the high quality commercial grade furniture they provided for me. The sales representative was very helpful in finding the right furniture for the decor I wanted to create. Their services irrefutably deserves a thumps up.
