Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: DrA*** did not inject me with the right amount of filler and did not do it correctly. The before and after pictures I was shown, did not have any differences even the nurse assistant had noticed that, unless they touched them up I looked exactly the same as I did before. The injections I requested was for *** and *** those were not on the consent form. When they agreed to give me partial refund they gave me a non-disclosure agreement that was just over the top and no one in their right mind would have signed something like that. When I was offered options from Michele J***, she proceeded to tell me and showed me a diagram of a woman's face and how everyone is different, which in that case if the doctor had any experience he should have advised me that I would have needed a higher dose AT AN ADDITIONAL COST....these injections are expensive and they keep you coming back for more at more and more money. Given his "expertise" he should have told me that and I would have not gotten them at all, since 2,was about the most I could pay. I was also bruised for several days as he pressed extremely hard on the spot of the injections in the attempt possibly to spread the liquid? I am not sure as I have learned later that no one does that in that manner after the injectionsI have gone finally to a reputable plastic surgeon who, NOT ONLY does not have you sign ANY consents, but he did it right the first time and he DOES NOT have any consent forms for refunds etc....so what is the difference here?
DrA*** is obviously not confident of his own abilities as he is a Dermatologist and NOT/NOT a Plastic Surgeon, and he should get out of the plastic surgeon business. I had to take our a small loan to pay for what DrA*** could not do, and from what I have heard from a friend who has gone to him, she has a running "Tab" with Reston Dermatology as he is obviously trying to take as much money as possible and keeps women coming back for more shots when it he could really do it right the first time
DrA*** needs to do the right thing and refund me the money as an honesty gesture and showing integrity and not require customers to sign NON-disclosures, I think that if I had a appendectomy and went to a hospital I would never sign a form that says "we don't guarantee the outcome of this procedure" because everyone is different? besides doctors operate with malpractice insurance, which seems doubtful he has at this point. All I asked for was my money back in a civil manner and he was not able to do so therefore I question his integrity and the integrity of his practice

To Whom it may concern:Please use this letter as your response to the aforementioned complaint. The patient in question came into our office and saw the doctor on 10/29/14. The patient requested an elective cosmetic treatment for dermal fillers. The doctor made a recommendation for three...

syringes of filler and recommended that the patient follow up in 2 weeks to see if any additional syringes would be needed. The patient signed the consent form, (see attached) which states that "No guarantee can be made with regard to the results.) This is standard for all dermal filler injections. When the patient returned in two weeks she stated that she was disappointed in the results that “no one could tell the difference." The doctor recommended an additional syringe of filler, but the patient did not think she should have to pay for it.| spent time with the patient reviewing anatomy diagrams of the face explaining how we lose fat in our face as we age, and depending on how much fat loss each patient requires different amounts of dermal filler which serves to replace the missing fat. I explained that we treat conservatively initially so the patient doesn't get too much filler and look unnatural. She seemed to understand and explained that she had had a bad experience with a plastic surgeon and wanted to make sure we weren't taking advantage of her. I gave her two options to receive the correction she was looking for:1) A discount on any additional syringes of filler that she needed 2) A skin tightening procedure. I offered to give her a Free treatment, in exchange for allowing us to use her before and after photo's. When she left the office that day she seemed satisfied.
The next day I received several emails. I am attaching all correspondence. After several attempts to communicate with her via email I called and spoke to her on the phone where we offered to refund the two syringes of filler in question if she would sign a release. When she refused to sign the release we withdrew our offer.
I am happy to discuss this with you in more detail if you wish.
Thank You,
