I had a tiny bit of water damage in a small area of my ceiling in the utility closet that is outside. My neighbor's a/c was situated so water from outside was leaking into her closet and dripping down into mine. My ceiling was damaged and falling apart in the closet. Keep in mind, that this is a small area of damage. Also keep in mind that the damage was outside in a utility closet. The techs came in and had to do an asbestos test because building was built in 1977. Anywho, not once did the tech ever mention any sort of pricing. Granted, I didn't ask but I didn't think it was going to be that bad. They brought in these huge dehumidifiers and fans for my closet and I did not want them for a couple reasons, A. It is a closet outside in an extremely dry climate. and B. It was snowing and was going to continue to snow. They insisted and brought the devices and hooked them up. I left them for a couple hours and then unplugged them because they are a huge energy drain. Anyways, the Tech came back a couple times (for minutes mind you) to come and help look at my neighbor's closet too. So the tech came back to tear down the ceiling (very very small area) and spray for mold. Took maybe 45 minutes. All in all, the tech was at my place a total of 2 hours. I got charged for 6 hours. The tech just left the fans and dehumidfiers in my closet for days and days (which ended up costing me a ton of money). He actually got a bit upset at me when he saw they weren't on anymore. He came back tore out ceiling (super small area, size of a large box lid) and sprayed then left. He did a sloppy job at best, left some of the ceiling up there with screws still intact. My bill was about $2500.00. I am extremely surprised and angry. This was a small job that was turned into something it should not have been. I would get a price quote from them upfront but honestly I would not use this company. There are way more honest and cheaper restoration companies to use. I just feel stupid for trusting them. Steer clear.
They repaired my flooded basement. They blocked my sump and could not get to it. Called and asked the stuff be moved, had an installer ready. No one came out. Called the next day. Same thing. Checked basement and driers working and all was ok. They came the 3rd day and flooded again. If they had come as I asked, there would be no flood. Now I'm gettin charged another 2500 for redoing it.
