I am a reputable property manager and hired this company to demolish and install a new 2nd story deck. Quote specifically states fees charged for a permit to be pulled which is required per regional building. Upon completion it was found that no permit was pulled. I have reached out to the owner multiple times trying to correct the situation and after responding multiple times that he would get a permit filed immediately he has failed to do so. it has now been over a month since my first request and I also believe that he is performing work he is not legally licensed to do.
We Built this deck the same exact dimensions as orignial deck and used the existing footers. We stated we wouldntw pull a pernit due to the fact that the owners countered our bid from 5,700.00 down to 4,500.00 This deck is built to code bit we will not be losing money buying a permit for this deck which is fortress railing with composite decking for the price we built it for. We did this as a courtesy for this property managment compant due to a past job that was done poorly by some employees that are no longer with us. She is wanting the most expensive deck done at cost and will fo anything to make this happen.
