Restorex Disaster Restoration

The employees at Restorex were attentive and punctual. Management was helpful in scheduling work to accommodate our schedule. Although this was a small restoration job, it involved 5 or 6 trades and we were particularly impressed with the trades people who were competent in doing an excellent job. Highly recommended for insurance or renovation projects.

Our water heater burst open while we were away and made a huge mess of our basement.Called insurance and then called Restorex, they had there people over to our house very quickly to clean up the mess and brought in fans to dry up the basement. After insurance inspected the damage Restorex returned to do the tear out of the damage as parts of walls and carpets needed to be taken out. They then gave me a quote on the rebuild which was approved by my insurance provider. Restorex gave me a time line on how long the job would take and they stuck to it.
The job of the rebuild was done very well and the people doing the jobs were very friendly and respectful of our home while they were there doing the work.
We were happy as the job was well done and on time.

Before hiring this company I asked when they would start the job. The "project manager" said two weeks.
I heard "two weeks " frequently over the next 3 calendar months and EVENTUALLY they sent a guy over to replace drywall to a height of 2 feet. He did slap it up and mudded the drywall ( well, most of it) up to the 2 foot mark. If the cut was 1/2 inch over that he said he was told NOT to do it. Corner bead was not installed even though he literally tripped over it. Oversized holes were cut for the heat register and toilet paper holder. Some areas were NEVER taped or mudded.
I never again saw the "project manager", he refused to come see the horrid work. Yet he phones and says he was sending painters the next day to paint the unfinished drywall. When I told him the drywall was not ready for painting and gave him the reasons why not, he said he didn't need that hassle and ended the job. I sent photos of the terrible work to the company manager, and phoned to him, but NEVER got a reply.

I wish to highly recommend Marty, Jeff, Ken and rest of staff I dealt with . First time having to deal with house damage due to wind/rain I was a little overwhelmed. All workers entering the house answered any questions I had and the job was well done.
Also Thanks to cleaning staff ( which at first I didn't think I needed)
Restorex fully took care of everything from start to finish. They gave me a exact cause of damage ( not like a previous company before them that gave me a probable cause,)

I am very pleased with the work Restorex Disaster Restoration has done in my house. Everyone was very well organized, professional, respectful and did their jobs well. The staff is very conscientious about their trades and want things done to their best ability. I appreciate that everyone was easy to talk to and that the communication door was open. Overall my experience with Restorex was very positive and I would highly recommend Restorex to others.
