When I first went to Results Fitness the staff was very kind and bubbly. Until I signed up after a staff member 'enrolled me? into this gym. She assured me she would go over everything and that I would be set to go and any changes I could always make later. So I paid attention to her presentation she gave me. There was NO talk about their contracts going through a third party company she breezed right over any of that. Me being ignorant I trusted her to give me all the information that I needed. I attended the gym maybe 3 times and decided it was quite far for me to drive and I wanted to see what my cancellation options are and the staff was extremely rude and did not want to help me at all nor speak with me about the contract that I signed with them, not this other third party. I got absolutely no where with the third party 'billing? or 'contract? company whoever they are. It was very misleading to sign a contract with a gym employee but yet not actually deal with the gym at all regarding payments or cancellations. I was mislead and did not understand the extent of this and when I wanted to cancel a few days after enrolling I wasn't able to. The third party billing company whom is ABC Financial Services, is very rude and tells me I better pay or I will go to collections. I haven't attended this gym for 18 months basically the length of the contract and I have been paying $50 a month for it. Now my contract is up and I am moving to Colorado and wanted to call and make sure I'm cancelled FINALLY, but only to be told that my contract is automatically renewed on a month to month and I have to send in written 60 day notice! I went back and looked at my ridiculous and mislead contract and it states If you move you are responsible for all payments up until the date that you move. They are telling me I have to pay beyond my move date and also pay the annual gym membership cost! I have wasted so much time and money to get absolutely no where. I feel robbed, taken advantage of.

Other (requires explanation) I just want to cancel this ongoing 'contract? that states it's 18 months but yet feels impossible to cancel beyond the 18 months even when I'm moving out of state. I paid for a gym for 18 months that I never even used. If I could get a refund that would be fantastic but if not I just want to cancel and not be charged anymore.
We are sorry that the client was dissatisfied. When new clients are signed up they are given a copy of their contract along with a card with our third financial party information that takes care of billing.
In addition, they are sent a welcome e-mail with instructions to log-in to the third party website to access to their account.
We also have a guarantee that if a client is not happy they can call and cancel within a 7 day period. They will be cancelled immediately.
The client signed their contract on Sept. 7, 2018. We keep records of all calls that come in that have questions or issues. We did not receive any calls about issues or Cancellations until Jan. 24, 2019.
She was referred to the third party who handles most cancellations. We do have a sixty day cancellation policy. The client was not happy about the cancellation policy. The clients first request was to cancel because she did not use the membership. Within a week the client called again stating that she was moving and did not want to pay through the cancellation period of 60 days. We do have cancellation allowances in place for people who are moving and/or military who are being transferred. Clients do have to provide some type of proof showing they are moving.
When the third party cannot resolve the issue they refer it to gym Executives. It was approved to waive the 60 day cancellation for the client.
We investigated the complaint of our staff being rude. Our staff does remember the client and stated that they explained the cancellation policy to them, gave them their agreement number and referred them to the third party as they are trained to do. In regards to the third party being rude, we will have to defer that to the third party to investigate.
We strive to make members happy. Ownership of the gym just changed on 01/01/2020. We are striving to make improvements to the gym and do take into consideration all complaints.
