Thank you for your message.  We have reviewed this matter with our team and offer the following response. At Results Transformations Centers we are proud to offer our proven successful 6 week, Challenge.   The challenge is a healthy eating, coaching and exercise program with over 1,000...

lives changed so far this year.   The program is unique in this perspective.  All participants pay the same upfront fee but participants who lose 20lbs or more earn the program coaching, nutrition plan and benefits and get a full refund.  Not all participants lose the 20lbs or get the refund, but the refund is a huge incentive for compliance.   Our program is the ONLY program which offers the compensation for success and before and after pictures and achievement of a weight loss goal.  Since many people are in need of an additional incentive to get healthy, this program is very unique in that this additional incentive helps people stick to the food plan (of of eating store bought vegetables, clean protein and complex carbohydrates on a normal schedule) we are pleased to offer the incentive, but it is not a guarantee or an entitlement to anyone! The program is very rigorous and offers the opportunity to train for a return of deposit; given all agreed requirements are met and the entire 20 pounds are lost within the challenge period.  This specific program is not for everyone.  We ask all participants to attend a very detailed orientation explaining what the challenge is about, what is required, who it is for, and who it is not for.  Because we are clear that this program is not for everyone, we hand out a BMI chart, make a scale available to everyone and share our general membership rates for those who are "on the fence".  Only 40% of all those who complete the orientation participate and ONLY after signing off on all requirements in writing. As an alternative, we offer other programs BEFORE accepting anyone into the challenge knowing that the challenge is NOT for everyone and is not positioned as a quick fix or an easy answer.  It is an accountability program using a money back incentive to drive compliance. For those still interested in training who may not consider themselves ready, or a good fit for the extent of the 20 pounds of weight loss in 6 weeks, there are a variety of options for them.  Those options include no obligation month to month options. We are just as eager to offer these options in thisvery orientation for our equally successful training programs at a monthly rate, simply, without the possibility of money back.    IN this and every instance of participation, only after a full 90 minute orientation and a detailed overview of all options are people accepted into this program.   It is VERY troubling to receive a complain like this given the variety of choices we make for people of all fitness levels.  Ms. [redacted] was 100% in agreement with all program rules and understood her position on the BMI chart but insisted on participating in this program because she specifically wanted the incentive (along with the risk) of earning the challenge money back. Now, to help better understand, acceptance into the Transformation program is based on whether the client at the time has 20 pounds to lose within a healthy range of Body Mass Index.  For example: an adult female at 4’11” should be within 103-113 pounds.  A prospective challenger at 130 pounds would not be accepted to this specific program.  Upon acceptance into the 6 week program the challenger agrees by written contract to fulfill all requirements in order to be eligible for the $397 refund.  We require 20 pounds lost in 42 days with no less than 30 coaching sessions, along with social media ResultsTransformation Center location check in on [redacted] account for each workout, a written testimonal, and weight loss maintenance for no less than 10 days.  All services are offered in exchange for successful transformation before and after pictures and video footage along withsocial media marketing effect for the potential full return of deposit upon successful completion.   Again, participation in the 6 week Transformation challenge is not a guarantee to lose 20 pounds in the given time frame.   Coaching services provided in the challenge include personalized movement and safety screening to proper address movement and activity requirements necessary for completion of 6 weeks’ worth of activity, nutrition consultation in person as well as with continuous live feedback online in aprivate forum, with ongoing progressive movement training and feedback in a  team environment.  Weekly weight is tracked by coaches for additional consultation to be duly given at which point any alterations may be recommended with changes in meal planning and/or for additional activity.  We cannotguarantee 100% nutrition compliance with the each client nor can we enforce necessary exertion in order to create 20 pounds of weight loss, we can only incent their internal drive for change with the possibility for money back. For those who may be struggling with weekly weight loss we ask they post picturesof their prepared meals for reference. Also to track activity exertion we offer a heart rate monitor system, MYZONE, to gauge caloric output.  Coaches often suggest additional High Intensity Interval Training for 10-15 minutes following sessions for participants that appear behind on progress.  It is imperative that all challengers keep indaily contact with their coaches for any concerns along the way in their in live sessions or online with forums.   At the March 4th orientation and date of agreement, [redacted] stated (on her written and signed application) that her body weight to be 140 pounds at 4’11” (BMI of 28 classified as overweight).  At date of initial weigh in 3/18 she started the program officially at 134 (BMI 27).  Normal and healthy BMI should be 18-24.9 fora healthy adult female. A copy of her nutrition meal plan was submitted as recommended within the first week of participation for final approval by coaches in alignment with the proven Results food plan. The first week of weight loss yielded 2 pounds down, the second week produced 1 more pound down.  At this time additional coaching interventionconfirmed her proposed meal plan was proper and portions were as recommended.  Because this amount of weight loss for the time put in is slightly behind ideal progress point it was then recommended she increase exertion through quality movement patterns, progressive workload, and 15-20 minutes extra of High Intensity Interval Training, as itmay take greater effort to produce the sought after weigh loss- given current pace of calories in to calories out. After reviewing this complaint, we see that Ms. [redacted] only completed only half of the required workout and  coaching sessions (of the 30 required) with our Folsom Blvd team.  To be certain that no details were overlooked we also checked our private forum for questions or any items that we could have helped Ms. [redacted] be more successful with and it was clear that there was no prior communication regarding concerns about the meal plans, workouts or requirements prior to the final weigh in. Even though Ms. [redacted] did not meet her end of the challenge, we offered an alternative incentive to encourage her continued journey of a healthy weight, eating clean and structured fitness program.Ms. [redacted] and all of the challengers that finish the program without losing 20 pounds lost in 6 weeks received an incentive of $10 per pound lost (as a store credit towards any program).  Our records indicate that Ms. [redacted] turned this incentive down. Please note that our program includes a substantial investment of time and materials from our company.  We start the program with a kick off event and "survival kit" valued at $199.   Our coaching sessions are all valued at $15 each and even if participants do not meet the weight loss goal, our services rendered are of a value in excess of the fee paid.   30 sessions at $15 each is $450 and the $199 survival guide and kick off program bring the value to $649.    All of this is offered with an additional incentive of a full refund in exchange for the promotional use testimonials and pictures after a weight loss of 20lbs or more.  In the case of Ms. [redacted] our services were made available and utilized and our company is entitled to full payment.   As per the written agreement a refund payment is only earned after all program requirements have been met.  We are very happy to see that although not everyone successfully loses 20 pounds within their challenge period, the great majority of participants find enough value in the relationship built, confidence gained, perspective and appreciation for health, and genuine well-being prospered of our coaching program that they do join as ongoing members.  We will continue to surround our transformation challenger and continuous members alike with our every resource to change their bodies and minds in this empowering fitness environment.  We want to besure we are the best part of their day, every day.      After 2,000 successful transformations (all documented on our Youtbue channel) we understand what it takes to help people succeed.   A big part is personal responsibility for each step of the program from sharing concerns with our staff, to exercising 5x a week and sticking to a easy to follow meal plan.  We only spend 5 hours a week with our clients and most of the success is contingent on compliance with the other program elements.  All of our records indicate that many of the program requirements were not adhered to during Ms. [redacted]'s challenge and this could be a big part of the gap.We feel the complaint from Ms. [redacted] is misleading, inaccurate and inflammatory.  Our review of our communications records and CRM do not indicate any prior communication to our staff before or during the challenge that support the complaint.  The conversation she mentions in her complaint, no only fail to mention who she spoke to, do not override the written agreement and extensive orientation details that Ms. [redacted] signed for and initialed each rule and requirement prior to her acceptance. This is a simple example of where written rules and guidelines were not adhered to.  While we understand there is sometimes room for some confusion, we do not think this is the case here.   We respectfully ask this complaint to be closed out without further action on our behalf as we have met all of our commitments under our agreement with Ms. [redacted].As an alternative resolution, if Ms. [redacted] would like to return to training in our program, we will offer her a $200 credit towards a monthly training membership at one of our other locations.  Perhaps trying one of our nearby campuses with other coaches and members may assist Ms. [redacted] in the completion of the original goal of getting to her ideal weight and strength.  This resolution would be contingent on following program rules and acceptance within 10 days of this response.Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because: The reply is false and I am appalled by the inaccuracies of how the program was truly offered. During the orientation, which was my first encounter with the Results program, there was no BMI chart given and no scale was mentioned to weigh ourselves for accuracy. Also during the orientation there was no mention of any other programs that were available besides the 20lbs challenge. There was a motivational speaker, [redacted], that spoke about his transformation and how this program would change your life. I am 5'3 1/2 and I was 134 I mentioned to the person who I handed my contract to that I wrote 140 because I was not sure of my weight and that I may be off a bit. He said it did not matter since I would have my first weight in when I started. I asked again if I would qualify, he stated as long as I made my full payment, he is a business partner and he would accept me. After my second week I saw I was not making great improvement. I cannot recall the initial person's name but it was a male in the late 30s or early 40s. The remaining names I would not like to throw under the bus, since I know this job is their source of income and it is no fault of theirs for this program's set up. I made my first complaint to coach * after the second week and he stated that I should not have been allowed into this program since I am not overweight. He recommended I do extra minutes before class and eat Tilapia, sweet potatoes, and asparagus for the next 4 weeks everyday. I ate the food as instructed and did the extra minutes. I may have forgotten to check in some days but I followed through. I am not a nutritionist but I am pretty sure eating the same food for 6 meals a day for fours weeks is not healthy either. Through the process I had severe headaches. I saw in the [redacted] page that this was very common so I continued with this to meet my goal. I was still no losing the weight so I complained to the front desk and the front desk attendant said he had seen it done so I should continue, even though the person he compare me to that achieved the goal started 10lbs heavier than me. At no point in time was I offered any other program. I went throught the list of participants I was by far the lightest person in the program. No one my weight has fully lost the 20lbs. At the end of the program one of the front desk attendants came to offer me other programs to continue. I let her know my concerns once again and that I was never going to be able to lose the 20lbs and was still accepted. She fully agreed the business has  continuously experienced this problem and they have received several complaints about this same situation. She offered a $2000 and $1500 plans to continue. I already felt upset and deceived, why would I have wanted to pay additional money to continue my business with this company.  They were only making me offers to spend additional money. I had already lost $406 with poor results. I should not be punished for their terrible screening process. They wanted my money and did not care about following appropriate procedures to ensure this was the right program for me. I am still disputing the $210 that should be refunded back.

Review: My 16-year old daughter signed up for the teenager workout program of Results Transformation Center this past summer. After a few days, my daughter realized that the gym's teen workout schedule (Monday, Wednesday 2-3 ) conflicted with her court internship in downtown Sacramento during the summer. She informed me of this fact after immediately her first workout at the Results gym. I then called the gym the following day and left a message explaining the situation and requesting a cancellation and a refund. My daughter never went back to the gym. After nobody returned my call, I called again after a few days and left a message. When I called for the third time, I managed to talk to a person, who said I should submit a signed cancellation request, which I did right away. I have repeatedly tried to explain what happened and tried to get this resolved but in vain. I also filled out an online request form. But the business has refused to refund my payment of $169 to this day. Thus, I am requesting the Revdex.com help in getting this resolved before I seek a legal remedy. I will really appreciate your attention to this.Thank youDesired Settlement: Refund of $169.00

Response:

[redacted] was enrolled in the summer Youth Program with Results Transformation center that started on July 6, 2015. She attended the first class on July 6, 2015 at 2:30 p.m.. Her father, [redacted], came in to the Arden Results Transformation Center location on July 20, 2015 to inform the staff that his daughter will no longer be participating in the Youth Program due to a scheduling conflict and signed the "Hold/Quit Form". He inquired about the possibility of a refund and was told we would contact him with an answer. Once I double checked the Results Transformation Center Policy and confirmed that sincee the program was partially used and almost concluded, the services were non refundable. Our team attempted to call [redacted] twice with no luck connecting with him. Later we were informed he had sent an email asking about his refund on August 25, 2015. On that day we called explained how since [redacted] used the program on July 6, 2015, and that thr right to cancel is within 5 days of signing the contract or before the services were used and we could no longer refund the services.while we would have been happy to resolve the issue with another program or a deferred participation , cancelation after the allowable period was not an option.

Review: This company publicly advertises a 20 lbs challenge for a 6 week duration. They have a contract that explicitly states you will not be accepted into the challenge if you are of normal weight. They hold an orientation where they go into detail about that program and tell you that they are not there to take your money, although they charge you $399 up front and tell you they will make it possible to accomplish the goal. This program promises that upon completion you receive your $400 back if the goal is met. During the orientation you are uplifted and made to beleive this is a great experience where you will make connections and get professional support to ensure you accomplish your 20lbs weight loss goal. After attending the orientation I asked if I would qualify and be accepted, right away one of the "business partners" stated yes took my credit card information and signed me up for the program. I started the program 3/18/15 and after 2 weeks of following their strict guidelines and purchasing one of their protein shakes of $70 (in addition to the cost of the program), I was disappointed as I did not appear to be on track to accomplish the goal. I spoke to one of the coaches and they explicitly stated "yeah that sounds about right, who the heck accepted you. That is not a realistic goal for you" he told me that I had to work more than the guidelines required and even then it was not a healthy option to achieve losing the 20lbs due to how light I already was. I lost a total of 3lbs during the full course. I continued to ensure that I completed and in the end when I asked the coach if I could get at least half of my money back, being that he himself stated I should not have been offered this program, he blantely refused and said I signed up and paid so it was too bad I did not accomplish to lose the 20lbs. The following day when I did my final weigh in no one came to address my concerns instead they sent the front desk person to convince me to purchase contunuing programs.Desired Settlement: I would like to get most of my money back. I realize I used their services for 6 weeks for the challenge but I should have been offered to come as a member not into the program. As a member you receive the same facility benefits. They charge members about $128 a month so that comes out to $189 for the six weeks, therefore $210 should be refunded to me. I do not care for anything extra I just want what is fair. Business should not be done in a deceitful manner with false contracts.
