Retinol Reviews (%countItem)

Retinol md had an online ad stating that the *** backed their product. That a trial size could be bought by just paying for shipping $4.95. Which I did on December 7th,2019. Today December 26th, there is a charge of $179.00 which was taken out of my account. I called to complain, saying that nowhere in the ad was there advisement of further charges to come out after 10 day trial.
I could return the items for refund if not opened, which of course they had been. They also advised me that another charge would be coming out for $180.00, as there were 3 products. Unless I cancelled my account immediately, which I did.
This is false advertising, & am reporting this as there are other items online using the *** as a lure. They claim that one or more o the *** backed their product. *** Regards, Beverley C.

I clicked on a free trial for retinol MD and the only charge would be $1. I read through the website to ensure I wasn't missing anything
(ie, policies to ensure that I would not incur extra charges as I've had this happen in the past) and found nothing out of the ordinary. No hidden fees...great! I was sure I was safe when another flash came on for a serum free trial at also $1. Clicked on this. Got 2 items. These items were under *** $1 and *** $1 posted on Jun14. The email I received from them stated that the billing would be under ***.

Looked at my *** today (June 23) and saw a charge for $179.98. I immediately called retinol MD and told them the item I got was a free sample. They said that since I didn't call to cancel, I was charged the amount. Plus if I was to return the items, they had to be unused. I told them that what they had was a *** and I wanted my money back. She said that I received the items because I confirmed that I had read their policy. I told them I would report them to *** for *** and that I wanted my money back again. I said that the sample items are not worth 200 each and she said they were not samples but full sized bottles and have plenty of satisfied customers

Desired Outcome

refund for their *** practices.

Dear Mr./Mrs.,

Thank you for contacting us.

I regret to hear you have not familiarized yourself with our promotional terms and conditions prior to purchase.

Your trial period expired on 05/31/2019 .You were charged the rate of C$179.98 for your Retinol MD and CAD 189.97 for the *** Plus because you failed to return the product within the 10 day trial period.

Please take time to familiarize yourself with the terms of our offer: ***

"From time to time, we may offer you to try some of our products without paying their full price upfront. If You choose to enroll in such a promotional program, you agree that you will pay us a shipping and handling (S&H) fee to dispatch the products to you.

You will have a certain amount of time (Trial Period), normally 10 days from the date you receive the trial goods, to sample and evaluate our products. If you are not completely satisfied during the trial period, you agree to notify us via email that you wish to return the trial products. If you do not notify us, your card on file will be charged the discounted cost of the goods, typically C$179.98 "

We implore our customers to familiarize themselves with the terms and conditions of our offer prior to purchase - in fact it is not possible to proceed to the payment gateway, where you have entered your credit card details and address, without agreeing to the terms and conditions.

At this time we have disabled your AutoRefill profile. Unless you instruct us otherwise, you will not receive additional Retinol MD shipments.

Kind regards,

***,

I clicked on a free trial offer in Twitter, and I was directed to the website *** In that website, they tell you this is a free trial and that you'd have to provide feedback after 30. They say they'd only charge you for shipping. When you go to the checkout, it asks you to agree to the terms and conditions, but they're not visible anywhere in the website (only after I run into trouble with these people I found out I had to unhide the terms and conditions -screenshots to prove what I day.) In those terms and conditions, they subscribed me to buy their products monthly, which, of course, is never explained in any of their confirmation emails (and hidden in the website, as I just mentioned.) I discovered today that they had charged 179 dollars to my credit card! When I write to ask for a refund and to cancel any membership, they tell me I needed to return the product within 10 days of receipt of the samples, otherwise, they'd charge me. Upon going around their website for hours, I find the hidden terms and conditions, and they day 14 days, and they keep arguing that they had to receive the product today. They used deceiving practices to force me into a very expensive membership I don't intented -and never intended- to be part of. I've received free samples from many other products and their policies were always explained very clearly and straightforward (and I bought the ones I liked, when I liked them.)

Desired Outcome

Cancel the membership and DON'T charge my credit card! I'll return the samples, but I already paid shipping, they should cover shipping now.

We would like to inform the customer and the Revdex.com that nowhere on our website or in our advertisements is stated that the products are FREE or SAMPLES. All the information was provided to the customer in the description of the products before the payment gate.

We provide the link to the offer that the client used to offer our promotional product.

On Feb 26, 2019, I ordered a "Free Trial" of a product called "Retinol MD", it was a day and night cream, that was advertised as "just pay $5 for shipping and handling" with no mention of subscription services, or paying for the item in full after "x" number of days. I was charged an additional $179.98 to my credit card on March 11 by this company, and was only notified by *** fraud alert system, with no notice in the transactional email that had "x" number of days to return or cancel my products of the trial before being charged, only that it was an x-day trial, under the assumption that afterwards, I would not be able to return the product, but that I paid the shipping and handing as advertised. There was no notice during purchase of a $179.98 charge after so many days. I emailed them to resolve the issue and stated that I was unaware of the charge being applied after 10 days, and they informed me that if I provided them with a tracking number that proved it was being returned within the 10 days (March 11 being the final day), they would reverse the charge. But after I sent the tracking number within 10 hours of that email, they waited 4 hours to respond, close the the end of the day, asking "how they could help me". I told them to remove my information from their system and to reverse the charge since I had provided the tracking number they asked for, and they asked me to provide the tracking information again, which I did, along with photo proof of the receipt of the shipment from ***. I will be opening a dispute with my credit card company if they do not reverse the charge.
Product_Or_Service: Retinol MD Day/Night Cream
Order_Number: SBZ-PM5G7

Desired Outcome

I want my credit card information removed from their system and the charge to be dropped, as it was false advertising for a trial run of a product I was only meant to pay "S&H" for. Again, it was never made clear that I had to return the product before I was charge until after it was charged, and even then, I have no transactional email to state why I am being charged.

Dear Mr./Mrs.,

Your full refund was issued and our team had handled your complaint. All the policies were explained to you as well. Please be correct and withdraw your false complaint.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
The refund went through, but I still highly recommend that no one orders a trial run of this company's products, as if it's too good a price to be true, it is. They hide the full cost in a 10 -day trial that you have to return it within in order to not get additional charges.
