Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: They told me they did a diagnostic....They did not...They told me they spoke to the place where I took my car...They did not ...The damage was already done to the car before they gave me the key...They told me it was fixed ...I pulled into traffic...The car turned off....The recall states this is what would happen...That's why they did the key a cheap way to cover up a manufacturers mistake...They gave me a price way over inflated..There is a safety issue as the recall states...According to Gm..Who sent me the recall..So as to prevent my car from turning off....IT IS TURNING OFF,,,Putting me and other people on the road in danger Regards, [redacted]

On September 5, Mr*** brought his vehicle in for Recall 14350. This recall is to put inserts in the key ringAs stated in the recall directly for GM"If the key ring is carrying added weight and the vehicle goes off road or experiences some other jarring event, it may
unintentionally move the key away from the "run" position".His car will stall with the car not in motion, the recall has no other repairs involved other than the key inserts. His vehicle has been out of warranty for over years. If the recall was to repair a stalling condition we would be happy to repair it. The recall does not cover his concern. We gave Mr*** a key at no additional charge since his old key would come out of the ignition while it was running. We offered to repair the stalling concern and explained there would be a fee involved to diagnose the issue. Mr*** declined. He brought vehicle to an independent repair facility and paid $to repair it.

ID *** Mr*** was at T&T coast on 9/5/with notice of a recall for 14350D: Product Safety - Unintended Ignition Key Rotation. This recall is specifically if the key ring is carrying added weight and the vehicle goes off road or experiences some other jarring event, it may unintentionally move the key away from the “run” positionIf this occurs, engine power, power steering and power braking will be affected, increasing the risk of a crashIf the ignition switch is not in the run position, the air bags may not deploy if the vehicle is involved in a crash, increasing the risk of injury or fatality We performed this recall which is to install insert into the keys. Nothing mechanically was performed on the vehicle. Mr*** returned on 9/9/with concerns with the vehicle stalling. This had no connection with the previous repair for the recall. We did notice the key would come out of the ignition with car still running due to the key was worn. We provided Mr*** with a new key at no cost. Mr*** demonstrated to me the vehicle stalling while in park. Again, this concern has nothing to do with the recall performed. I offered to diagnose the concern of the stalling and he declined because of the $ fee. I did contact *** garage where Mr*** previously had work performed on the vehicle and they confirmed they also provided him with a list of work needed and I was informed he declined that as well Sincerely, Rich K Service Director T & T Coast Buick GMC

I am rejecting this response because:I had to continue my search for
another truck as time was critical I believe that this firm was used a bait and switch and just wanted to see if I would come back at a higher price than what they initially quoted I am extremely displeased as I had to spend $5,more than I wanted to in light of their actions
