----------From: K E[redacted] <retrieversofmillbach@[redacted].com>Date: Wed, Apr 26, 2017 at 8:33 PMSubject: Revdex.com Complaint ID:[redacted]/ [redacted]To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]>The following is response to Complaint ID of [redacted].To Whom it may Concern, On September 29th, 2016, [redacted] & [redacted] purchased an AKC Chocolate Labrador puppy ”[redacted]” from me. “[redacted]” was adopted for Eight hundred dollars ($800.00). At the time of sale, he was deemed healthy by my veterinarian. Health examination with health certificate on September 27th 2016. Both ** and [redacted] seemed very pleased with their puppy at that time.  On October 1, 2016, [redacted] and [redacted] contacted me, saying “[redacted]” was ill.  I, then reached out to their veterinarian to acquire more information. At that time, a veterinarian at an Emergency facility, “suspected” the illness due to the Parvo virus.  In-house bloodwork was performed. Since in-house snap tests (which was what was performed) are not accurate, I requested that the Parvo test be run at a reputable Laboratory ([redacted]).  The veterinarian and/or client declined this request.  During my conversation with a manager at the veterinary facility, I found her to be unprofessional. The woman voiced to me, in confidence, that The [redacted]’s ([redacted] & [redacted]) “have money” and that they can easily afford for the veterinary bills, which where staggering at this point. I was appalled.  I suspect that the Emergency Veterinary office may have overcharged them for the simple fact that they knew that they would get paid. However, that is just my opinion. After twelve years of breeding, this my FIRST POSSIBLE encounter with Paro virus. To this day, we do not know for sure if that is what made him ill, since he had TWO Parvo vaccinations while in my care.  Since Parvo virus is extremely contagious and spreads quickly from puppy to puppy, I do find it hard to believe it was this virus that made him ill since his NINE litter mates are healthy and Parvo-free! I will readily offer the names and phone numbers of the other nine puppy owners, in order to contact and verify the health of their puppies from the same litter. [redacted] and [redacted] received the entire purchase price of $800.00 back for what occurred with “[redacted]”. Even though we did not believe it was the Parvo virus, we felt terrible for our fur baby and we just wanted to see him healthy and thriving. We also offered to take our puppy back but [redacted]. [redacted] stated that they were attached to “[redacted]” already, which we completely understood. We refunded and left him stay with his family. Now, to make an already frustrating situation even worse, he was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. Again, another FIRST for us. Hard to believe, but it is true. In all of my years, I have NEVER had a puppy with the Parvo virus nor with hip dysplasia. I feel terrible for my little Chocolate boy, “[redacted]”. I do have sympathy for [redacted] and [redacted] in that respect, as well. I just wish they would have been more up-standing people and come to me directly with this diagnosis. I am understanding and would have appreciated the information and utilized the diagnosis to reassess my breeding program as a whole. I have looked further into the genetics of “[redacted]’s” parents, specifically his sire. His mother, “[redacted]” coming from both sire and dam that have Hip clearances through the [redacted] Hip Certifications. Since “[redacted]’s” sire, “[redacted]” was from a different breeder, we had just started integrating his bloodlines into our breeding program this year. I can only assume that the dysplasia genetics are coming from him. He is now removed from my breeding program entirely, to assure that this will never happen again. My only hope is that “[redacted]” is healthy and pain free at this time. Our goal is only for happy, healthy puppies and nothing less. Kindest Regards, Kim E[redacted]
