I signed up at the Kirkwood highway location.  I workout all over and moved to an apt that was a little closer to their concord location.  It says on their website that you can workout at any retro fitness location.  It's one of the reasons I signed up because I travel a lot.  No one from Kirkwood notified me that "they" were transferring me to the concord location.  I'm the customer and I tried contacted them on 4 separate occasions.  I only received one response back and it was on my 2nd attempt.  If a customer tries to contact a company via email then they at least need to respond in a timely manner especially if it's regarding cancellation.  I have the records of when I sent those emails as reference on the dates of my initial complaint.  I signed up at Kirkwood and they did not respond in a timely manner, nor did they tell me what I needed to do.  All I was emailed was back is you were transferred to Concord and need to contact them.  That's not right.  Now I want them to help fix this and do the right thing.  I was a loyal client for many years and I know a lot of other members, and all I want is what's fair.  The Concord people treated my like they didn't care and said tough you need to send a certified letter to cancel and we're not waving the last three months.  I have been trying to cancel for almost 8 months!  They have record of my email inquiries to do so and so do I.  They should have instructed me at any point in time.  Besides, how can they just transfer me to a different club, it's Retro fitness.  it's a chain of facilities.  I think it's just the franchisees want to push customers and their issues to someone else.  Please help assist.  I am willing to have an arbitration hearing with the owner of this franchise to review my repeated attempts to cancel and he/she can showcase their response to me.  completely unacceptable.  Thanks.

I have received your letter with regards to [redacted]. My assistant Manager [redacted] did speak with [redacted] on 3.3.14. [redacted] wanted to cancel her agreement for membership with us. did not want to send a letter and insisted she cancel by phone after [redacted] explained the cancel procedures. Enclosed please find a copy of her agreement and a print out of our system notes taken that morning
I will accept this letter from you as her cancel letter and cancel her agreement 60 days from receipt ( 3.3.14).

I have researched [redacted] account. He did in fact cancel his training with EFT. In the transition his acct was re-activated in error. We will refund the amount of $320. He can call Paramount which is the billing Co at [redacted] to confirm.
However his Retro gym account is still active. To cancel his membership he will need to contact the gym. At this time his membership acct is past due 1 month.

I  have received your letter  regarding Veronica Fernald . In her statement she  says she is reaching out on behalf of her boss but never mentions her boss' name. It seems  there is an issue with his personal training which is serviced by a different company than Retro Fitness. That Company is EFT Training and can be contacted at EFT Group [redacted] 140, [redacted]. If I had a name I could probably be more helpful.
