I do not want to get in an argument with Mr [redacted]. He has bullied me, my employees, and two insurance adjusters. He again attempted to commit insurance fraud by demanding the insurance company's payment be returned to him after the repair was completed in a certified letter. This documents his attempted fraud in this case.We replaced a side panel and an end cap segment on Mr [redacted]'s Airstream. He accepted the repairs when he picked up his trailer on April 16th. A month later he began complaining about the repairs and claiming additional damage to his trailer. He sent a series of macro photographs blown up to extreme amounts. Most were not of our repairs or of damage we photographed when his trailer came into our shop or imperfections from the manufacture of his Airstream. He claims we put the wrong segment on his trailer. Airstream did send the wrong segment, which still sits in our shop waiting on an Airstream that need that segment. This mistake on Airstream's part did delay the repair. Airstream then sent the correct segment which was installed on Mr [redacted]'s trailer. We offered to re-shave the rivets on Mr [redacted]'s trailer, but he failed to keep his appointment. He appears to have filed a claim with his insurance company and is having another shop in town make more repairs. We are now afraid to have his trailer in our shop.

The RetroRVs team has continually demonstrated a total lack of technical competence and ethics.  I am surprised by Mr. A[redacted]’s use of slander and accusations of insurance fraud.   At this point I know there’s no hope of Mr. A[redacted] doing the right and ethical thing and settling this matter.  I sincerely hope this case gets posted on the Revdex.com website so no one else will have the same problems with RetroRVs and Mr. A[redacted] that I have.   Here are the documented facts:   -  Nov 15:  I contracted with Mr. A[redacted] to replace two panels.  Cost of repair was $5,626 and 10 days.  -   Nov 15 – Apr 16:  Many contacts to Mr. A[redacted] about the length of time taking to repair and I also contacted Progressive, concerned about RetroRVs technical competency.    -  Apr 16:   Picked up Airstream.  -    May 16:   I contacted Mr. A[redacted] about extensive damage his shop did.  I took pictures (attached) and sent them to Mr. A[redacted].  I also contacted Progressive and [redacted] Insurance Agents.  -   13 June 16:  Progressive  stated in writing that RetroRVs “failed to use money to repair your coach correctly”.  “The shop stated the panel came in wrong, but instead of sending it back, they put it on your coach knowing that it would not fit.  They created additional damage because their technician’s skill level was not sufficient to repair your coach.  We  feel that this repair should never have been delivered as an acceptable repair.”   -13 June 16:  Progressive produced a $9,611 estimate to fix the damage caused by RetroRVs.  -27 June 16:  [redacted] sent an email stating “it appears the additional work is likely due to damage done by RetroRV during repairs”  - 1 July 16:  Mr. A[redacted] admitted the poor quality of his work in an email “There are many shaved rivets that can be done better.  Some of them need to be replaces (sic) and shaved again.”   -   Aug 16:   Desert Autoplex is now currently replacing the same panels and fixing some of the damage that RetroRVs shop did.   Cost to fix will be $7,451.

We researched Mr [redacted]s complaint and mailed a check to him two days prior to his Revdex.com complaint.

[redacted] Airstream was damaged at a storage facility when his neighbor was moving their RV. RetroRVs replaced a rear segment and the street side of [redacted] Airstream under an insurance claim. The trailer had hail damage and dents other than the accident when it arrived at RetroRVs. These were...

documented with photos. [redacted] then attempted to commit insurance fraud on these other damages, soliciting RetroRVs help, which we refused to do. He accepted the repairs when he picked up his trailer. He then complained about the things not related to the accident. He claimed damage was done at RetroRVs which occurred prior to the Airstreams arrival at RetroRVs and are documented in the arrival photos. We refuse to work further with [redacted] and he is due no refund as the repairs were accepted by [redacted] at pick-up.

thank you John for mailing the cheque.  Though the same day, Jan 29, I made the complaint, your email , dated Jan 29,  said the cheque would be in that evening " when the postman...

comes by " ..  Not 2 days prior to the complaint.. So this issue will be resolved once I have received and cashed the cheque.. Thank you..
