Hello,We are dissatisfied with the response from the business, REV Motors. They have no customer service, no ethics, and no integrity. I understand there's nothing further the Revdex.com may be able to do, but we do hope this complaint is able to be viewed by other consumers, and that REV Motors has a poor rating with the Revdex.com. It was an awful buying experience.Thank you,[redacted] & [redacted]

REV Motors8600 SW Canyon RdPortland, OR 97225Monday, August 8, 2011Attn: [redacted]Revdex.comPO Box 1000DuPont, WA 98327RE:   Reference ID: [redacted]Dear [redacted] and her co-buyer, [redacted], both willingly purchased a vehicle that had been advertised by...

our dealership for sale. That specific vehicle was: 2013 BMW 328i, VIN# [redacted]. After driving and personally inspecting the 2013 BMW 328i, [redacted] and [redacted] chose to purchase the vehicle, after negotiating down the already below book advertised price for an additional $1,200 off. Before purchase of the BMW 328i, [redacted] and [redacted] test drove and visually inspected the car, reviewed the current and clean Carfax report, and then proceeded to ask for additional discounts below the lowest advertised sale price as a concession for any cosmetic defects present at the time of sale. Eight months after the purchase of the car we were then contacted by [redacted] about cosmetic concerns related to the exterior clear coat peeling in certain spots on the left hand side of the vehicle. [redacted], in that initial conversation, then proceeded to immediately accuse our associates and company of being dishonest and deliberately hiding damage, of which she shamelessly assumed all in our company must had been aware of. At the time of sale, none of the clear coat or paint was noted of having any sort of damage. Carfax was and still is completely clean, the vehicle has a clean title, with no history of structural damage, or air bags being deployed. Though in the referenced letter to the Revdex.com [redacted] claims that the vehicle had been in a “bad accident”, and had “significant damage”. This is just not that case, as the damage to the vehicle is purely cosmetic. Prior to our acquisition of the BMW 328i, it was a lease vehicle that was returned to BMW financial upon [redacted]l conditions. It was then inspected by BMW financial and declared upon sale to be free of frame or any structural damage. Structural damage can be declared for even minor structural concerns of a vehicle in these inspections including but not limited to; a panel being removed and replaced (significant of an accident or impact), suspension damage or modification, unibody or frame damage, and even a hole or dent near or on a pillar of the body. None of those damages were present at the time of sale, or were they declared in the inspection that [redacted] requested at [redacted], a competitor of ours. The inspection at [redacted] was by a service director as well, not their paint and body division. The opinion stated in his report does not mention any suggestion of a “bad accident”. Topical paint flaws, no structural damage was noted. In light of the accusatory and defamatory approach of [redacted] and [redacted], we did still make attempts to assist in the cosmetic flaws that recently occurred after their eight months of ownership. They approached us with a quote from a local body shop to repair the delaminating clear coat, and we offered to use an AAA+ rated shop that we work with, at an additional discount and partial contribution from our company. Our quote was close to half of the dollar amount their shop quoted, with the exact same specific repairs quoted, and from a higher rated shop. At the time of this offer, [redacted] and [redacted] thanked us for working toward a solution, and we set up a potential day for them to drop of the car. After that point, no further communication, except for this letter, has transpired. We do feel it is unfortunate that it appears that parts of the paint and / or clear coat are beginning to peel on certain parts of the BMW 328i, none of this was present at the time of sale. Surely if they were, it would be assumed that [redacted] and [redacted] would have demanded an even deeper discount when choosing to purchase the vehicle, as they did when pointing out every evident minor flaw at that time. Used vehicles are not new vehicles, thus they come at a much lower price than when factory new. The discount from the new price for this particular used BMW was nearly $16,000 at the time of their purchase. We do our best to help all customers, especially after the purchase. Although, after a vehicle being completely out of our control for over eight months, owned and operated by the purchaser and whomever they allow to drive it, we have no understanding of what can happen in between in regards to proper cleaning, chemicals applied, environmental circumstances, and even possibly a hidden wreck by a driver. Although it appears that at one point improper cosmetic repairs may have been performed, we do not know if that could have been before the purchase by [redacted], or during her possession, as none were present at the time of purchase. Regards,-REV Motors///REV Motorswww.chooseREV.com503-224-22008600 Canyon Rd.Portland, OR 97225

RE: Reference ID: [redacted]

As stated in the customer's "Statement of the Problem", she purchased the 2004 Mazda 6 withapproximately 165k miles on 10/08/2015 from our dealership "AS-IS" due to age, miles, and outside ofmanufactures warranty....

At the time of purchase the car was not showing any signs of engine issues, smoking, or misfiring that customer stated began three weeks after purchase. The Mazda 6 was a tradeindirectly to our dealership, a daily driver for the customer who traded it in. Our dealership does notgenerally sell vehicles with over lOO k miles, unless they are a direct trade-in to us. In this case, theMazda 6, at the time of sale seemed in good working order, the customer test drove the car, andproceeded to purchase the vehicle. As with all vehicles over 100,000 miles, and outside ofmanufacturer's warranty, it was sold "AS-IS" with no implied warranty due to the age and miles. After avehicle is purchased and leaves our dealership, we have no control over how the vehicle is driven, maintained, or stored. We are not implying that the Mazda 6 sold to the customer, was abused orneglected by the customer, only that it is high mile ( 165k miles) car, and that we have no way ofvalidating it was driven and maintained properly.
Also stated in the customer's "Statement of the Problem", she acknowledges that we as the dealer didin fact offer assistance in terms of utilizing our repair shop {although we were heavily overbooked andsuggested other shops) at a discounted rate for any service or repairs that the car required. We alsooffered to allow payments on service performed, not a total upfront payment. When further work wasrequired to diagnose the problem and repair, suggestions were made to look at other options as thelabor required for the engine repairs may become costly when compared to the purchase price of thevehicle. Our dealership then offered forward that we would consider the Mazda 6 as a trade-in towardanother vehicle. This is by no means required, and was only offered as a goodwill solution to problemsthat customer was experiencing with the Mazda 6 that was purchased AS-IS three weeks beforecustomer stated issues were experienced. The customer was dissatisfied with the vehicles that we wereable to offer for her stated price range, and has since chosen to reject other vehicles that we haveoffered. We have reminded the customer that we were only offering other vehicles as a courtesy, andthat though it took time to diagnose repairs for the Mazda 6, we also extended our shop as a courtesy atdiscounted rates, with the option to pay over time. All of these options were voluntary and may berevoked at any time as the vehicle was sold AS-IS to the customer, then owned, controlled, and drivenby the customer for three weeks. At this point of time, the customer has not paid for any servicing tothe vehic , and has yet to pick up their vehicle as well.
