completed and emailed to the customer for approval. Customer approved 10/29 and the document was notarized and shipped on 10/30.

I spoke to a manager and asked for this order to be canceled and the charge to be canceled. The manager agreed to cancel our order and reverse the charge to my account if and when they found it, as they informed me they could not find the payment and therefore could not complete the work. I spoke on the phone with Rev.com a total of 3 times and they claimed they could not find the payment, therefore I asked them to cancel the order and they agreed. None of this is reflected in the company's response.
My father looked up a company and they completed the same assignment for him without trouble and they received payment for this. Now they appear to want a second payment for the same assignment. I withdraw the part of my complaint about the business being a scam. I think they are merely incompetent.
Whatever work they may have done should have been canceled as I spoke directly to a manager and asked that our assignment be canceled. If they failed to follow through on canceling the order, that is no fault of mine and I will not pay for it.
We no longer need the document as my husband, the person who needed the document translated, has passed [redacted] Another company I canceled service with was kind enough to not only refund my money but also send flowers as a condolence. If Rev.com persists in seeking payment for this assignment I will be forced to make it public that they failed to identify our payment, failed to cancel our order upon request when speaking directly to a manager, and are attempting to collect money from a bereaved widow for work no longer required due to sudden death.
I intended to write that my father managed to find the SAME company coincidentally and they were able to complete the assignment for him immediately with no lost payments or difficulty reading the document. They received payment for this. Now they appear to be seeking payment for the same assignment which was canceled by speaking directly to a manager over the phone prior to placing the second order.
