I've not had any of the stated problems with RN - they serve exactly the function I expect them too. If you want to invest in a somewhat limited fan base - mostly other writers and musicians - this is an acceptable forum. I would say that I've encountered and stayed current with a number of interesting folks using this forum. And heard some very good music - there's a lot of talent. As far as customer service - the questions that I've submitted have been answered to my satisfaction in a timely manner. I've not spent money promoting my music that I could not afford nor have been unscrupulously dealt with by RN. I will say that after sampling each service from RN - there are those that I would repeat and others I would not. In my opinion this is not a forum to accumulate fans - but more a medium with which to test the value and talent of your music compared to that of other musicians. Sorry for those who have had contrary experiences - but to date I have been delivered what I expected.

Over years ago Reverberation used advertising to promote concert venues that did not existMy credit card was unknowingly chargedNo funds were returnedThis company does nothing for artists but rip them off with ads Musician Beware! They are scammers

Artists beware! ReverbNation uses deceptive wording qnd sneaky tactics to get you to pay for promotional servicesI signed up for a 30-day free trial and ended up being charged $after only daysWhen I tried to dispute the charge I was informed that I had, in fact, signed up for two separate free trials, despite the fact that I only clicked on one thing and only signed one contractI was very upset and upon voicingy concerns to the company they repeated that it was my own fault and refused to do anything to remedy the situation I was treated very poorlyAlso they are constantly semding emails about "opportunities" that end up just being ways for them and their partners to make money off of dewey-eyed optistic musicians

I have been in business with eMinor for over a yearI truly appreciate their Customer ServiceThey take their time explaining things, are professional, and knowledgeableI have not had one bad call with themMy experience of them is that they are very kind

I feel ripped off by reverbnation. I was suddenly debited today and contacted my bank immediately to know what happened and then they informed me that I was debited by reverbnation. I was so devastated because that was an account that I was saving money in for an emergency that I had to pay for. I did not even get a mail or anything after I was debited. I blame myself for ever putting my card details on their site. These people are just horrible. They are scammers and their site needs to be brought down. How can you just debit someone suddenly without any prior notification via mail? And even after debiting, no transaction receipt is sent to your mail or anything. This is really horrible and unacceptable. You guys are modern day thieves exploiting people. I just want a refund of my money back because I never even used the service which I was debited for. They called it a premium plan. Please someone help me, how can I get my money back?

Reverbnation is a website that I've used for years to promote my music. But for some reason, for so many years it seems like the company has not gotten anywhere or have done anything for me. I first joined as an artists in 2006 and have been a member since. However, no result or gigs has come from that. It is hard to get in touch with a representative and the support team is very poor at replying. It's almost like you are left in the wilderness and no telling if the companies that you are submitting even check your profile. It starting to come off a little bogus.

Very poor. Running false opportunities - apparently great company to work for - HORRIBLE customer service - no return calls - answering service only - apparently they have given themselves such an ego trip they treat their customers very condescendingly and are ripping off ALOT of people through their scam opportunities. Screwed if you are a customer and musician - applauded if you are an employee who can join in their scam.

The company claims you can cancel subscription service at all times but its disabled you cannot unsubscribe and its close to billing cycle - no refundLast Week March 6 I tried to unsubscribe from the [redacted] which is a Premium service bill monthly. Reverbnation provides a number of steps to unsubscribe 24/7, however I navigated through a number of tricky menus I got to the menu which contains 2 buttons one for confirm to unsubscribe and the other to Keep service. Only the keep service button is active. My billing cycle is next week and there is no refund. I put in a complaint to support a few days ago and have not received any response. This practice and type of behaviour is unacceptable Desired SettlementI just want them to enable me to unsubscribe for do it for me before the next billing cycle. Final Consumer Response Please cancel the complaint they have rssponded and fixed the problem.. thanks

I canceled a promotional campaign for my music one day before it was set to renew. I was charged anyway, and business refuses to handle dispute. On November 18, 2013, I was charged $48.99 on my credit card for a promotional ad campaign ("[redacted]") despite canceling a day earlier. I got no confirmation that I cancelled via e-mail, though. On their FAQ, ReverbNation states that they don't do refunds in the event that someone forgets to renew, but the service makes it easy to forget because the ad campaign doesn't start until they personally review and approve the song you want to promote. The duration of the campaign doesn't start as soon as you want it to start, so it's difficult to keep record of your campaign when they don't inform you when the campaign actually starts. They also don't inform you when your campaign is about to renew. No 24-hour notice.I think it's unfair business practice to prey on musicians with shoestring budgets.I wrote to their [redacted] e-mail address twice but received no reply.Desired SettlementI'm looking for a refund and a withdrawal of the credit I received when I canceled a second time after the campaign renewed. Business Response Thank you for contacting ReverbNation's Billing Department!I can confirm that ReverbNation has received the Revdex.com's case #[redacted] letter as of 1/02/2014. Unfortunately it appears that the Revdex.com has closed this case due to 'Non-Response,' though this is the first notification the company has received in regards to this specific case.In response to this case, we can confirm that [redacted] was issued a full refund from ReverbNation on 12/11/2013. Previous correspondence with ReverbNation's Billing Department can be documented in the [redacted] Help-Desk ticket #[redacted].For any other billing inquiries, please contact ReverbNation's Billing Department by emailing [redacted]Final Consumer Response

Over 2 years ago Reverberation used false advertising to promote concert venues that did not exist. My credit card was unknowingly charged. No funds were returned. This company does nothing for artists but rip them off with false ads. Musician Beware! They are scammers.","neg-1

I used the website intended to purchase $50 of promotion services and ReverbNation quietly withdrew $250 from my bank account without notification. On July 1st, I made transaction [redacted] for artist promotion on ReverbNations's website for $49.00 using my debit card. I left for a month to travel internationally. When I returned, I discovered in my bank statement transactions [redacted] withdrawn from my bank account July 13th, [redacted] withdrawn July 20th, [redacted] withdrawn July 27th, and [redacted] withdrawn August 3rd $49.00 each time. I received NO RECEIPTS via email or notification that the company was withdrawing this money from my account, otherwise, I would have stopped them sooner. On August 11th, I called the company in shock that they were taking money out of my account without my permission. They told me they were unable to refund my money. Their reason was that they spent the money I was giving them by allocating the funds to other advertisers. The best they could do was refund $50 of the $200 they snuck from me. Needless to say, I was outraged. I called my bank and told them of the problem and today, August 24th, I just received word that they investigated my report and say the transactions were correct. I'm sure they gave my bank the same story that they used all the money I gave them and there was nothing they could do about it. I am ENRAGED and DISGUSTED that ReverbNation takes money from customer's accounts without notification of their actions when they occur. I do a lot of business over the internet and NEVER have this problem with other companies. I feel stolen from and will never use ReverbNation services again.Desired SettlementIf the service process is accurate, that they allocate all money (without even taking a cut for themselves, mind you) to other advertisers leaving the ReverbNation with their hands tied in situations of dispute like mine, I am seeking a refund from the company and for them to take the $150 as a company loss. It is as simple as sending the customer a "Thank You for Your Payment"email, notifying when the company is accessing someone's bank account. The ways in which ReverbNation handles their transactions has made me completely lose trust in their business. Business Response The Consumer's allegation that ReverbNation withdrew funds without authorization from the Consumer's bank account is completely unsubstantiated and contrary to the facts. Rather, the Consumer purchased a weekly renewing digital advertising service called Promote It! from ReverbNation on July 1, 2016. As clearly indicated in multiple locations in the Promote It! purchase flow and confirmed by the consumer in multiple locations, the weekly PromoteIt campaigns renew at the advertising budget amount established by the Consumer during setup During the purchase process, the Consumer set a weekly renewing budget to be spent towards the advertising campaign dedicated specifically to the media campaign submitted by the Consumer - in this case a weekly renewing advertising subscription budget of $49.00. The Consumer confirmed the advertising budget amount at the checkout screen, and was also notified of the weekly renewing charges and dates of renewal at the set up screen, checkout screen, and purchase confirmation screen. To be clear, the Consumer was notified in multiple locations that the Promote It! campaign would renew on a weekly basis. The consumer contacted ReverbNation on August 11, 2016 and a customer support representative assisted the consumer with locating the account and verifying that the weekly Promote It! campaign had been cancelled on 8/10/2016. Despite the fact that the consumer was not eligible for a refund under ReverbNation's Refund Policy, and that ReverbNation had incurred costs in supplying the Promote It! campaigns, and had delivered all requested campaigns, the customer support representative made a one-time exception to this policy and issued an immediate refund in the amount of $49.00 corresponding to the most recent transaction as an act of good faith. To be clear, in all cases, the Consumer received the requested advertising campaigns.ReverbNation's Promote It! purchase flow is very transparent and clearly explains to consumers that it is a recurring weekly subscription, which delivers weekly advertising services. Weekly recurring advertising services are the industry standard in the digital advertising realm. In no way did ReverbNation take money from the Consumer without authorization. This is a completely baseless claim, as the Consumer registered for the ReverbNation Promote It! service and provided their authorization for ReverbNation to bill the payment information provided at the time of purchase as long as the service remained active on the account. It should be noted that Consumer's own bank confirmed that the charges to the Consumer's account were authorized and legitimate charges for services rendered. ReverbNation provided the requested weekly renewing Promote It! campaigns to the consumer as requested. And the Consumer received the benefit of these services. ReverbNation incurred a cost to deliver these services. As a result, the charges were appropriately incurred and are appropriate received as revenue by ReverbNation.Consumer Response Responding directly to the above stated, "...notified of the weekly renewing charges and dates of renewal at the set up screen, checkout screen, and purchase confirmation screen. To be clear, the Consumer was notified in multiple locations that the Promote It! campaign would renew on a weekly basis.":Going back through the purchasing process (since I have no confirmation emails or messages sent to my website profile to refer to) There is ONE description of the charging process at the bottom of the screen in fine print with an asterisk:"*The number of fans who will see your ads is a weekly estimate and actual results may vary. You will be charged $49 each week ($7 / day) promoting this song. This amount will recur every 7 days until you stop your promotion."On the page where they take credit card information and begin the charging cycle, I do see where they say 'weekly subscription.' At the time of my purchase, I missed the detail being focused on the boldfaced "$49.00" total I was most concerned to be correct. Pardon me for being human and making an error by finding your process confusing. It surprises me how little communication you provide for your consumers after the brief 2-page form. From then on, the customer is responsible for remembering what they signed up for. Any other cyclical billing service site notifies their customers with a billing confirmation email at the time of the company's billing withdrawal. This in mind, you can see why I may have thought it was a one-time billing transaction.Of course a bank is going the think it was authorized with that kind of explanation of your services! You speak very well, but it doesn't validate your company's terrible means of communication beyond marking withdrawals on a single page on your site which I manually have to log into and see by chance or wait to see them on my bank statement. At the time of my call on August 11, 2016, I didn't think this was going to be a such an immense problem for your company that you couldn't resolve it for the sake of customer satisfaction. I hope, with this, my concern and complaint are seen as more understandable rather than some radical accusation you clearly seem to think it to be. My experience with your way of business is one I have never seen done before by a successful company which throws up red flags for me as a consumer. Final Business Response We apologize for any confusion the consumer may have experienced when purchasing the weekly renewing Promote It! campaign subscription. We want our checkout process to be transparent and that is why we provide multiple instances throughout this process which indicate the subscription's renewal amount. While we understand the Consumer's concerns, ReverbNation incurred costs in delivering the requested products to the consumer, and the consumer received and benefitted from the advertising. We made a one-time exception to our refund policy, despite the fact it resulted in a loss to us, and issued a refund in the amount of $49.00 corresponding to the most recent transaction as an act of good faith.

Company refused to cancel my premium services and continues to charge my account. I contacted [redacted], in the customer service department, who was of no help. he refused to cancel my premium services, on the grounds of "security", which is false. If they are able to verify my bank account to charge me, they can verify that the profile in question is mine. Their policies are constructed in such a manner that if your email that you used to create the account is no longer in service, it is impossible to log in or otherwise verify account identity. No such policies exist for charging your bank however. After offering up info from my bank statement in order to show I was being charged, I was still refused cancellation. Additionally, the response times in the emails were WELL in excess of 10 hours a piece. And they do not answer phones for customer service. So unless I can bring a defunct email back from the grave (I cannot) there's no way under their policy to cancel.Desired SettlementAll I want is to stop being charged a monthly fee for a service I have not used in 7+ years and cannot cancel from my end.Business Response The consumer contacted ReverbNation's support department on 4/15/2016 and requested that ReverbNation cancel their billed premium services. The consumer received a response on the same date from a support representative, who further explained ReverbNation's security policy (that only users can cancel services directly through the Site) and provided the consumer with instructions on how to cancel any active services. Only then did the consumer indicated that he no longer had access to the account and could not complete the cancellation. ReverbNation's representative provided the consumer with the Account Recovery Form, which would allow the consumer to verify account ownership in order to regain access to the account and complete the cancellation instructions. Unfortunately, the consumer refused to complete the Account Recovery Form, and was unwilling to verify that he was the account owner according to our standard policies. The consumer indicates that he is unhappy with ReverbNation's support response time. Upon further investigation, it is clear that the consumer received prompt responses to all of his inquiries within typical business hours. ReverbNation's customer support department operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST. Additionally, the consumer also received responses from the support representative on Saturday, 4/16/2016.The consumer never provided ReverbNation with sufficient information to verify his identity as either the account owner or the billing cardholder. However, only with additional information provided in this Revdex.com complaint, was ReverbNation able to verify the consumer as the account holder. With this new information ReverbNation has acted on behalf of the cardholder and disabled the account, thus terminating any active subscriptions along with their associated payment information (cancellation confirmation code: [redacted] This issue could have been avoided if the consumer merely provided the requested information to verify the account when asked.Consumer Response I'm not sure what "investigation" was done here, but the company is completely lying. I informed the representative that I was not in possession of a scanner, and she would not accept the form in digital format. Additionally, the questions on the form REQUIRED A LOGIN, which I stated in my initial complaint was the issue to begin with. I could care less about their policies, if their policies are fraudulent, they should not be taken into account. If I owned a business, and my policy was to rob everybody that walked through my doors, would I not be arrested? Or would the authorities state that it was "policy" and blame the consumer? Secondly, the response times were NOT prompt. I'm not sure who "investigated" that, but they did not do their job. My initial contact to them was on Friday, April 15th. Their first response to it was four hours later. My reply My follow up was immediate. Their next response was April 16th, the next day, at 1:56 p.m. How is that prompt?!? In my follow up, I SPECIFICALLY requested that they contact me promptly so I could settle with my bank. I did not hear from them for an hour, and it was at that point that I decided to file the complaint. I guess whoever did the "investigation" missed this in their policy:"Please allow 1-2 business days for a Customer Support representative to answer your ticket. "One to two days? Is that what you would consider prompt? What if it took one to two extra days for you to get your paycheck? Guess it wouldn't be so prompt. Thirdly, I provided them with MORE than sufficient information. I provided them with info from my bank statement for Christ sake. How much more personal can information get?!? I gave them my email, name, bank statement, date of account setup and paypal info. The only way they were willing to work with me was if I logged in. That's it. Nothing more. If I was unable to do so, their little "form" was useless because the questions it posed were impossible to answer without being able to log in. My favorite part of this whole thins was this: "However, only with additional information provided in this Revdex.com complaint, was ReverbNation able to verify the consumer as the account holder"Oh really? Is that the case? Funny how that works. I gave Revdex.com nowhere near as much information as I gave ReverbNation. Not even close. What "additional info" did they find in the complaint that I did not provide them? It's all BS. They lied, they got caught in a lie, I reported them, they got scared and so they did what they should have done in the beginning. That's what transpired. And it's incredibly an transparent attempt to save face on their end. And finally, we get to the coup de grace of their BS: "This issue could have been avoided if the consumer merely provided the requested information to verify the account when asked."Which information? The info on the useless little recovery form that required a login? I told them I had answers to some of the questions on the form, and it required three of seven. I had that, but they were not willing to accept it in any other format except a scanned document. As I've now stated twice, I do not own a scanner and am not going to spend $200 to buy one so I can save $6 a month for them to stop charging me. That is totally asinine. They hide behind their "form" so they can continue to charge customers who are unable to cancel their service. I can count on one hand the people I've come across in my life who own a scanner. This isn't the 90's. It's 2016. I'd have been more than happy to print the document, fill it out and snap a picture or even scan it through my phone, but this would not have been acceptable to them in that format. If their policies are based on old technology that's not my problem, it's theirs. Might as well send them the form through carrier pigeon since we're going through old methods of communication. I provided them with plenty of information. They refused to shut down the premium services because I could not login. End of story. There is no "additional info" they could have received from this complaint that would have prompted them to grant my cancellation. They just got in trouble and complied. And THAT is why I filed this complaint. Because when companies with fraudulent policies or operating procedures get reported, they comply. And by the way, I am happy they finally decided to comply, but it means nothing at this point. It's a nice moral victory. I had already blocked them from any further charges through my bank and through paypal. Had they not decided to do the right thing, they would not have received another dime from me anyway. Luckily my bank and paypal both have UPDATED policies to PROTECT the consumer and not defraud them. I am satisfied at this point. No further action is actually needed, I just wanted o point out their fallacies in their response for the record. They can lie all they like. That's the great thing about email. I have it all in writing. Final Business Response As mentioned previously, ReverbNation has certain security measures in place to ensure that unauthorized persons do not improperly gain access to ReverbNation accounts which may contain personal information. These measures are consistent with the account verification measures used by most major internet platforms, and are widely accepted across the industry. The primary importance of these measures are to ensure that unauthorized parties do not obtain access to a ReverbNation account and to prevent authorized persons from making alterations to accounts which do not belong to them.Contrary to Consumer's assertions, the Account Recovery Form which was provided to Consumer to permit him to access the account so that he could terminate services does not require a log-in to the account. It merely requests information related to the account, which a typical account owner should be able to answer. This verification process allows us to verify that the party contacting us should actually have access to the account. Again, this verification form mirrors many major internet platform's verification forms. Simply stated, the Consumer refused to provide the requested verification. As we indicated, the Consumer provided address information in conjunction with this unfounded complaint which then allowed us to reasonably verify the Consumer's identity. This information was not provided during the consumer's correspondence with the representative until this complaint was filed and allowed us to satisfy a reasonable verification process. As stated previously, the response times to Consumer's inquiries were prompt, and well within industry standard response times, and consistent with ReverbNation's standard operating business days - Monday through Friday. This complaint is unfounded, all actions taken by ReverbNation are supported by the written communications with the Consumer and ReverbNation's written policies. Further, many of Consumer's complaints are directly contradicted by these written communications. It is ludicrous for the Consumer to claim fraud, simply because he failed to comply with reasonable security measures, consistently employed by most internet platforms - measures which are meant specifically to protect the Consumer's private information and services. We are unable to dedicate any further time to this baseless complaint and consider this matter resolved.

On May 25, 2016, I received a threatening letter from Reverb Nation. They refused to process my order. They have been belligerent and difficult. Reverb Nation has been very dishonest and rude toward me since the first time I placed an order. But recently, on May 25, 2016, they sent me another letter, very threatening in nature, informing me that they will not take my order.I want to be treated like any other customer. They have been extremely arrogant, rude, dishonest and cowardly. Instead of attempting to rectify this matter, they chose to hide from it. I will not go away. It would be in their best interest to work with me. If we can find a middle ground, then we won't have to play games.Desired SettlementProcess my payment for an account - and cease and desist from slandering me. [redacted] of Reverb Nation has slandered me on many occasions. Let's resolve this - because I am never, ever going to go away until we reach a resolution. I am prepared to contact the media if necessary. Business Response Mr. [redacted]'s complaint is baseless, frivolous, unwarranted, untimely, and fails to state important facts - including the fact that he has engaged in a four year continued online campaign to harass ReverbNation and its employees personally, and to libel ReverbNation's business reputation without justification. To state it simply, ReverbNation fully addressed Mr. [redacted]'s concerns through conventional customer support methods, in accordance with applicable law and internal policies, but none of the proposed solutions seemed to meet Mr. [redacted]'s unreasonable and illogical demands or needs. The relevant facts are set forth below, and upon review of these facts you will certainly be able to reach the conclusion that Mr. [redacted]'s claims are baseless and must be disregarded. ReverbNation has had an extensive history of dealing with [redacted] since September 21, 2012. Our website allows independent original musicians to use a suite of software products to market themselves, and in certain instances - to distribute music digitally through major online digital music retailers [redacted] etc.). In September 2012, shortly after Mr. [redacted] created his ReverbNation profile entitled [redacted] Mr. [redacted] purchased a subscription to our annual Digital Distribution Service with an associated subscription fee of $34.95. He then attempted to submit a release for digital distribution to major digital music retailers. As part of our distribution process, we review releases for conformity with the Digital Retailers' requirements and guidelines. Mr. [redacted] included a blurred photo which included a link to a third party website in his proposed cover art. Mr. [redacted] was informed that[redacted] guidelines did not permit the proposed cover art and was asked to submit new cover art.Mr. [redacted] then submitted new cover art for his proposed release which more closely conformed to the[redacted] style guidelines, and ReverbNation then proceeded to review the submitted song associated with the cover art. ReverbNation was able to identify that Mr. [redacted]'s song, entitled [redacted] was actually a "cover song" of the popular band[redacted] song "[redacted]." United States Copyright Law requires that a party who seeks to create a new master recording which incorporates a third party's underlying composition (including the song structure, chord progression, and vocal melody) obtain a license from the owner of the underlying composition. Absent such a license, the public distribution of such cover song is infringing the copyright belonging to the author of the original composition. Mr. [redacted] was informed via Customer Support email that his proposed use of[redacted] underlying composition likely infringed the copyright in "[redacted]" and that unfortunately, ReverbNation was unable to distribute this material unless Mr. [redacted] provided ReverbNation with the appropriate license. In accordance with ReverbNation's standard policies, Mr. [redacted]'s ReverbNation profile was also suspended as a result of his violation of ReverbNation's general terms and conditions which provide "We may cancel your user registration and terminate your use of the Site or Services at any time with or without cause, in our sole discretion, and with or without notice, including for your failure to make any payment when due or your breach of your representations, warranties, and covenants in these Terms and Conditions...." Though offered the opportunity, Mr. [redacted] was unable to and refused to provide the necessary licenses in order to distribute the referenced release. Mr. [redacted] did not reply to this correspondence in writing.Mr. [redacted] subsequently contacted ReverbNation via telephone on December 11, 2013, inquiring as to why his ReverbNation profile had been suspended. A former employee explained to Mr. [redacted] the issues that lead to the account's suspension (as described above). The telephone conversation was escalated through our support department and Mr. [redacted] issued verbal threats, cursed, yelled, threatened legal action, and insulted ReverbNation employees. On December 12, 2013, Mr. [redacted] filed a Revdex.com complaint against ReverbNation. In its response, ReverbNation again explained to Mr. [redacted] the reasons for the suspension of his ReverbNation profile, and that ReverbNation further elected not to offer its services to Mr. [redacted] in any form in light of his continued abuse and threats. Despite the fact that Mr. [redacted] was not due any refund due to his violation of the applicable terms and conditions, as a good faith effort ReverbNation issued a full refund in the amount of $34.95 on March 24, 2013. Any revenue that ReverbNation received from Mr. [redacted] has been returned to Mr. [redacted], and any claim alleging otherwise is spurious. In Mr. [redacted]'s Revdex.com complaint, he began to allege that his track "[redacted] was protected via the Fair Use doctrine - and specifically as a parody. As we explained to Mr. [redacted], the Fair Use doctrine is an extremely knotty legal four factor test which relies on the specific facts and circumstances of each situation. It requires an in depth analysis and application of the law to the specific facts. For that reason, lawyers, judges (trial and appellate) and particularly non-lawyers are likely to reach different (and often incorrect) opinions as to whether someone's use of a third party copyright qualifies as Fair Use. Incidentally, the most well-known musical comedy parody artist of our time - [redacted] - always seeks and obtains a license from the owner of the copyrighted composition he seeks to cover in order to avoid copyright infringement actions. Further, there is a multitude of reported case law where a copyright holder brings suit against a party who claims their use of the copyrighted composition was a comedic parody, and where the court finds the alleged comedic parody use infringed the copyright belonging to the author of the underlying composition. Please understand that ReverbNation's policies in this regard, are fully consistent with other similar platforms operating in this industry.ReverbNation reserves the right to make that assessment, along with its assessment of a range of other factors, in considering how to manage our user accounts. Consistent with this approach, we expressly reserve the right in our terms and conditions to take down user-generated content and/or to suspend user profiles in the exercise of our own business judgment and based on any factors we deem appropriate. Our terms and conditions to which Mr. [redacted] agreed when he originally registered on our site give us the right to refuse to provide services to him. Further, in this specific instance Mr. [redacted]'s simple conclusion that his use is "a comical parody and constitutes fair use" is unsupported by the facts and applicable law. To the best of our knowledge, Mr. [redacted] is not an attorney who specializes in U.S. Copyright law or the fair use doctrine - performing a [redacted] search does not make an individual a Fair Use doctrine expert. Mr. [redacted] apparently demands that we distribute material which is likely infringing and bear the risk of his infringement. We are not able to rely on the unqualified opinion of Mr. [redacted], and refuse to do so.Following the rejection of Mr. [redacted]'s Revdex.com complaint, Mr. [redacted] then engaged in a continued campaign of harassing ReverbNation and its employees individually on at least thirteen separate documented dates spanning from December 11, 2012 through July 22, 2016. Mr. [redacted] has repeatedly engaged in abusive behavior by posting false, derogatory, defamatory, libelous, and harassing comments on ReverbNation's social media platforms, and by contacting individual ReverbNation employees and Senior Management. ReverbNation has continuously operated in accordance with the law and its applicable terms and conditions and internal policies. Rather, ReverbNation has treated Mr. [redacted] professionally at all times. Consumer Response I will put it in simple terms that even an overpaid attorney who talks in circles can understand.1) Reverb Nation management has NEVER returned my calls. Not even once. Instead of calling me to try to resolve our issues, they hid from my calls like cowards.2) I stated that I lost interest in that parody a long time ago. I moved on to bigger and better projects. They were told that.3) I told [redacted] - the one who answers the phone - the one who management hides behind - that I had no interest in doing anything with the song anymore. He still refused to re-activate my account - and - when I requested to speak to a supervisor - he refused to put one on the phone. [redacted] also hung up on me on several occasions. 4) If Reverb Nation doesn't like my demeanor - then maybe they should have treated me with respect : by returning my calls instead of hiding behind [redacted], by not slandering me by accusing me of copyright infringement when a comical parody isn't copyright infringement. Since they gave no respect - none is owed to them. And I recommend that Reverb Nation learns to choose its battles more wisely. I'm not the kind of guy anyone wants to be on bad terms with.If Reverb Nation wants to negotiate a truce, I'm willing to talk. But if they continue to be uncooperative, I will continue to shout from the rooftops how Reverb Nation treated me.

I asked this site to delete my account and remove me from the Internet. I do not have access to the original email used when the account was created. 3/23/16Desired SettlementI want my account deleted Business Response ReverbNation received the Consumer's request to delete her account from our Site and a ReverbNation support representative promptly responded and explained that ReverbNation's Security Policy prevents ReverbNation from removing accounts at the request of unauthenticated users. The representative provided the Consumer with an Account Recovery Form which would allow her authenticate herself as the account owner and would allow her to remove the account upon completion of the form. Instead of completing the brief Account Recovery Form, the Consumer discontinued communications with ReverbNation and filed this complaint with the Revdex.com. ReverbNation employs this Account Recovery process as a measure to protect all site users from unauthorized access to their accounts and to prevent unauthorized persons from requesting the deletion of third party site accounts. The Account Recovery process merely requires a user to answer a very brief list of questions to verify access to the account. Based upon the information provided by Consumer within the Revdex.com 'Customer Info' details, ReverbNation was able to verify Consumer as the account owner, and has removed the account from the site and considers this matter resolved.

They claim I violated their polices but have showed me nothing and illegally closed down my account like as if they were someone scamming me! Hello I am [redacted] upcoming actor and music artist working with [redacted] talent a 4.0 college student with a disability so please tell me why after all these years you would close a black student with a disability ReverbNation account with the login email [redacted]@gmail.com .Tell me what did I violate I do remixes of music that I upload all over the internet and I even do a little of my own music to show people all over the world that anyone can do music like me a student with a disability, so what are you showing all the students with a disability or who are disabled that it's OK for the big man to take down what they try to do for a great cause. How would [redacted] feel to hear about this story because I will be emailing them as soon as possible to get an interview to go on TV to explain my full story that I am a student with a disability who does music to show people that everyone can make music but your company ReverbNation has shut down my account.I recently over the past couple of years has had identity threat and has been advised by The [redacted] Police Department to report any suspicious things and this counts because you guys have all of my information like videos, pictures, music and other information that I can't see but you can and has the will to do what you want with it without my permission. NO artist or label! let me repeat NO artist or label has ever complained about this account https://www.reverbnation.com/XXXXXX that is closed now. Your company will be in big trouble I am emailing my lawyer right now and following up with The [redacted] Police Department on what has happened and how weird you guys closed my account three days before my birthday May 19! I can find over 50 accounts on your site that has violated lots of things on your site but you guys only care and pick on the weak black student with a disability o I am so sorry that I am not perfect like everyone is like you in this world sorry I cant function as well as a normal person so sorry I have to be a burden to you and your company. Your company is going to have to provide with everything I had your site and you talk about I violated stuff "As stated in ReverbNation's General Terms & Conditions", That read over 5 years ago when I made that account or my disability advocate created for me. Your company will have to provide the rules of your site because I am a student with a disability and don't have to search for anything if I don't want to because one of my disability is in my hands left and write.Desired SettlementI just want my account to be reopened and if it can't I want everything I had on ReverbNation to be sent to me because you can't just take someone information and just use it for your self. I want ReverbNation to show me the policies they claim I broke or any law I broke because they can't say I did this without showing proof.Business Response As we explained to the Consumer, the Consumer's account was disabled due to violation of ReverbNation's Site General Terms and Conditions - particularly, the repeat infringer policy as a result of multiple instances of uploading copyright protected material for which the Consumer did not own or control the required rights. The General Terms and Conditions, require that site users own or control all rights to any material or content uploaded to the Site. This includes rights to images uploaded to the Site, artists' publicity rights, and sound recordings.ReverbNation merely acts as a host to uploaded material, however, if we are directed to review material by a user and notice clear indications of rights infringement we are obligated by applicable law to address those instances of infringement and disable that material. While we understand the Consumer's concerns, he must also understand that we must also respect the rights of other artists and applicable law.We typically address matters of multiple incidents of infringement via our Repeat Infringer policy, and disable the account at issue if we identify multiple instances of infringement. In this case, we only identified the infringing material as a result of the Consumer directing ReverbNation to the account as a result of the Consumer's request to assist with the images uploaded to the profile. As a result of the support request to ReverbNation, we identified at least twenty images of famous musicians such as [redacted] and [redacted] uploaded to the Consumer's profile. In addition, we identified thirty six "remixes" which included original master recordings belonging to more than nineteen well known musicians [redacted], [redacted], [redacted] T [redacted] and [redacted]If the Consumer owns or controls the rights to use those sound recordings in his remixes, as well as the rights to the images featuring the well-known musicians, then he can provide copies of those licenses and permissions and we would be happy to reinstate the account. If the Consumer does not have the required licenses and permissions then the account owner is infringing the rights of other artists, and violating relevant intellectual property law.We cannot speak for other platforms which may host the Consumer's material. But simply because he may have uploaded infringing material to other platforms does not negate the fact that the material is infringing and violates applicable copyright law, in addition to other laws. Additionally, we should also point out that other music hosting platforms have similar infringement policies as ours (as required by law), and will likely disable his material if they identify the material. While the Consumer is certainly free to voice his concerns, he can see from the above description that his concerns are without a basis in fact.To be clear, the decision to disable infringing accounts is in no way based on a user's race or status. Nor were we aware at any point that the Consumer claims to be disabled. Rather, the decision is made simply by applying basic intellectual property law. ReverbNation proudly serves users of all races, educational backgrounds, with and without disabilities. The Consumer mentions "identity threat" in his response. We are not able to understand the referenced issue. Please understand that ReverbNation considers the privacy and security of its users a primary priority. The only personally identifying information available to the public, is the information that the Consumer uploaded to his account to be publicly visible. However, due to the suspension of the account, this information is not visible now. As discussed, our General Terms and Conditions and applicable law requires us to disable material which is clearly infringing a third party's intellectual property, and this is the only interaction we have had with the account. We hope that the Consumer understands that we are merely trying to adhere to applicable law and to respect the rights of other artists.Consumer Response Hello Reverbnation I have filed a [redacted] Police Report against your company you still try to pick on the disabled you know I am a student with a disability known and still want to send me some foolish [redacted]. I still don't see your policies or law that I have broken but I can tell you what you will be seeing is a police report and when the police in your state come and raid your building with warrants I won't be able to help your company. I am asking nicely please give me back everything you took from me that does not belong to you please. I am not sure if I can upload the police report in the next page or not but the Revdex.com will make sure you get it because I will have them send it to your guys and please feel free to read all of it. Final Business Response As previously stated, the Consumer's account was suspended due to uploading a significant amount of material which clearly infringed the intellectual property rights of other artists. Consumer does not own or control the rights to incorporate the third party material which he uploaded to the Site. We welcome any outside inquiries as to this matter so that we may direct those parties to the Consumer's infringement. Simply stated, Consumer's claims are spurious and without any basis in fact.Apparently, the Consumer is not familiar with the basic tenants of copyright law or intellectual property law. That being said, ReverbNation's Copyright Policy (https://www.reverbnation.com/copyright) states: "Copyright is a form of legal protection given to authors of original works such as literary, dramatic, musical, artistic, graphic, photographic, software and certain other intellectual works. The copyright owner has the exclusive right to reproduce the work, make new works based on the work, distribute copies, and perform or display the work, during the duration of copyright protection, subject to very limited fair use rights of others to use only such amount as necessary to exercise fair use rights. You should assume all third party content is protected by copyright unless you have determined otherwise with the assistance of legal counsel and you should not rely on fair use except pursuant to advice of legal counsel. You can, however, seek a permission or license to use third party copyright protected content and once obtained will have the right to do so." Consumer should be aware that taking the music of major artists and incorporating it into his works without appropriate permission infringes the rights of those artists. Section 3 (d) of ReverbNation's General Terms and Conditions states: (d) Representations and Warranties. By submitting User Content to the Site or in connection with any Service, you acknowledge, represent, and warrant that:(i) you own or control all necessary rights in and to the User Content, and you have the full right and authority to grant the rights, licenses, and permissions in these Terms and Conditions;(ii) the exercise of the rights granted by you herein shall not violate any laws or otherwise infringe upon the rights of any person or entity, including copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other personal or proprietary rights, or contain libelous, defamatory or otherwise unlawful materials;(v) to the extent you do not own any underlying musical compositions, sound recordings, samples, publicity rights, or other materials or content in your User Content, it is your obligation to secure all appropriate permissions, clearances, licenses, or other authorizations and agreements, and, as applicable, to pay directly all third-party fees and royalties as may be required, including, but not limited to, with respect to artists, band members, authors, co-authors, copyright owners and co-owners, publishers, producers, or any other person who performed in the making of your User Content, and in connection with mechanical royalties, digital phonograph delivery royalties, public performance royalties, payments that may be required under any collective bargaining agreements or statutory schemes, or any other royalties, fees, and/or sums payable with respect to your User Content, and at our request you shall provide us with confirmation of such authorizations and payments.Users of the Site agree to the General Terms and Conditions when they create a profile on the Site. As mentioned above, the Terms and Conditions, in addition to the Copyright Policy are clearly posted on the Homepage of the Site. And these Terms and Conditions, as well as applicable intellectual property law, control the display of material on the Site.Consumer's reference to ReverbNation "taking" something from Consumer is baseless. ReverbNation has not taken anything from the Consumer. As stated previously, the Consumer's account was suspended and the profile information is not visible. Consumer retains whatever rights he originally possessed in his material. We have explained our position to Consumer on numerous occasions, as well as the applicable law and policies. We are unable to dedicate additional time to addressing additional baseless claims of the Consumer.

Artists beware! ReverbNation uses deceptive wording qnd sneaky tactics to get you to pay for promotional services. I signed up for a 30-day free trial and ended up being charged $35 after only 3 days. When I tried to dispute the charge I was informed that I had, in fact, signed up for two separate free trials, despite the fact that I only clicked on one thing and only signed one contract. I was very upset and upon voicingy concerns to the company they repeated that it was my own fault and refused to do anything to remedy the situation. I was treated very poorly. Also they are constantly semding emails about "opportunities" that end up just being ways for them and their partners to make money off of dewey-eyed optistic musicians. ","neg-2

I have been in business with eMinor for over a year. I truly appreciate their Customer Service. They take their time explaining things, are professional, and knowledgeable. I have not had one bad call with them. My experience of them is that they are very kind.","pos-1
