Review: They are using a 3rd part firm to send unsolicted e-mails in bulk. Additionally when you click unsubscribe it sends you to thier website. I am sick of this company sending unsoliceted e-mails.Desired Settlement: remove all e-mail address from [redacted]

Review: I read the article shown in the link below. In the article, I read the following: "You can click here if you would like to use the online tool to enjoy the benefits of this free service. Simply take a few seconds and enter your zip code to gain access to the system's no obligation quotes." and clicked the link for Best Quotes.

I figured all I needed to do is provide some simple info and it would show me actual quotes. Never did I want any contact via phone or email by insurance companies. But when I completed filling out the form, it took me to insurance sites so I could pick which ones I wanted info from. When I clicked on the first one, it took me directly to their site and asked for more information. I backed out at that point.

I NEVER wanted to be contacted. I thought the site would provide quotes like [redacted] or [redacted] would for airline prices.

Now I've gotten a phone call, received several emails re: quotes. I was going to call Best Quotes, but the phone number on the site was incorrect. Another red flag to me. Here is there contact info:

If you add up the characters in the phone number, there are too many for a legitimate phone number. After the "800" there should only be 7 digits...in this there are 10!Desired Settlement: I'd like them to totally remove me from ALL mailing lists so NO insurance company or any other company does not have my email addresses nor phone numbers.

We do state this as well on the page where you submit to get your quotes that: "I acknowledge that I am seeking a quote request, which I authorize and agree that up to eight car companies, their agents and/or partner companies may use the information I provided to contact me or to obtain additional information. I am aware that I might receive insurance quote reminders and special promotions via e-mail."

We have also updated our contact information on our website to make it easier for you and all consumers to get in touch with us. To this end, we have updated our toll free number and spelled it out clearly for consumers. Previously it just said 'call [redacted]. We have updated it to read "call [redacted] (###-###-####).

Lastly, we have also updated our disclaimer language to be more clear to consumers and to explicitly let them know that they may be contacted by these insurance companies via phone. We will take your feedback into account on the next revision of our website (which we update frequently) and strive to improve the clarity of our messaging to future visitors.
