Revive Your Lawn

Patrick Chlada inspected a broken drain tile and told me he could repair the drain tile and fix the flooding it caused. As Patrick undertook the work, it became clear he was not knowledgable nor competent in drainage to the point of blatant fraudulence. Instead of being honest and refunding the partial payment that was remitted, Patrick proceeded to butcher my house and lawn. I agreed to let him attempt to fix the gave him several opportunities, however, he only created more damage to my house and property. He even used duck tape to connect the pvc piping to my house! Further, he keeps sending me invoices for the final payment, though he is incapable of finishing it properly and professionally! He also frequently referenced my age, as if being a senior citizen is something to be ashamed of! I think he was trying to take advantage of me since I am a senior.

I met with one of their employees sometime in May. The gentleman came to our house and suggested that we needed the following items: detaching, power raking/ overseeding, spring clean up, 5 applications of fertilizer/weed/ grub control and mulch application. We entered into a contract with a grand total of $1240. I made a down payment. The crew came and did spring cleanup, dethatching and mulch application sometime in June. I was told that a fertilization and weed prevention application had been done.

In the weeks following that I contacted the same gentleman because I wasn't seeing any results of the dethatching and overseeding. In fact the lawn was more patchy than before and over run with weeds like never before. They did not cover all of the areas in the front lawn. I went ahead and made another payment trusting that they would come and fix the issues after talking to him several times (after leaving several messages with the nice receptionist named Patty and texts) and being reassured it would get done. He said the fertilizer and weed prevention they used this time was not great and they are changing the brand. He promised to do something about it that week.

After that conversation I didn't hear from him for two weeks so I called and found out the gentleman had been fired sometime in late July-early August. I gave them another chance after speaking to the owner and getting another reassurance. Still no action. Left more messages with Patty and she said she sent a detail email for the owner last week. I haven't heard back since. To date I have paid $1105 and summer is coming to an end. My lawn is the worst one on the block.

After my last review the owner of the company finally called me and left a voicemail "let's figure this refund out". The calls would always be while I am at work and when I called back he would be out on a job. I finally answered at work -first he apologized for the way the fired employ
