Revo Plumbing and Heating Incorporated Reviews (2)

Revo were the original installers of my home plumbing/Furnace/Water Heater/AC in the past four years I have had a couple of issues. One with my John Wood Water heater, which was promptly resolved & the guys at Revo gave me all the information I needed to call & get my Control Panel replaced on Warranty. Service was excellent, & it has been working awesome ever since.
Second issue was my AC, & it was a huge mess. The TX valve needed replacement, & due to freeze up on the A coil, the control circuit boards for the Furnace (3 of them ranging in price from $100 to $150 each) were corroded & were failing to send signals to coordinate the fan high speed & the condenser outside.
Brock, Steve, & all the guys at Revo worked hard to make sure that every possible thing to fix could be done, they cleaned the A-coil, replaced the TX valve, checked Freon levels, & Absolute Heat numbers, AND to top it all off they went to bat for me with the Manufacturer and got warranty coverage!","pos-1

Revo did not correctly install HVAC equipment and plumbing. They told us they would return to fix things but we could not get them to come back. We hired Revo to do a new HVAC and plumbing install on a new home in January 2012 for $69,000. The payment process was that Revo did the work. Invoiced me for the work. And I would pay the invoice. There were outstanding problems that were not dealt with and were initially brought up at start up in January 2014. Revo started to work on some of them but most were not corrected. On June 13, 2014 Revo came to work on the outstanding issues. At that time they expected full payment. After we went over the outstanding list of work that still needed to be done, Revo conceded that they would need to return in the fall once the weather got cold again to complete the work that they had started. I told them that I would need to hold back $5000 + GST until they could complete everything. They said that they may need to put a lien on the home to guarantee their money until they would be able to finish and be paid. I let them know that once they finished they would get the hold back. They did not end up following through with the lien at that time. I paid them a progress payment of $25,000 that day and soon after I also paid for fixtures that they invoiced me for. I expected that they would return as they said but they would not. I contacted them to return but they said that they would not return now until they received the hold back and that they would sue me if I did not pay it. All other communication was to be through his lawyer. In October, 2014 when the weather got cold, the boiler would not reach temperature. We were forced to get the heat working. So we hired another company that are qualified experts with [redacted] boilers that helped us get the heat working. They pointed out in the installation manuals how the systems were supposed to have been done. A strategy was made on how to fix the outstanding issues. Now that we knew what was most likely the problems causing the issues I went back to Revo on April 24, 2015 in an effort to come to an agreement to get this settled. Mr. [redacted], his lawyer and myself reviewed the issues but Revo was not going to come back to do the remaining work until they received the hold back money. Mr. [redacted] told me that he did plan to return as he had said back on June 13,2014 but he "changed his mind". He also told me to trust them and pay them the hold back money and they would come back as many times as it took. I offered to put the money in an escrow account so they would be guaranteed to be paid once they completed the work. They declined. December 16, 2015 Revo placed a builder's lien on my property. Revo did not correctly install the HVAC mechanical system and plumbing. They were told of the problems and given the time to fix the issues. They were paid for work completed throughout the project and an amount of less than 10% was held back until Revo was able to complete the work. It was agreed that Revo would return and upon completion the hold back would be paid out. Revo breeched our agreement and did not return to complete the agreed upon work. I was forced to hire other companies to get the work done. And now Revo waited nearly eight months to place a lien on my home. Desired SettlementRemove Builder's Lien of $5250.
