Revolution Chiropractic changed my lifeI was in a great deal of pain and now I am notReading the few negative reviews, I realized that the people who left them have no idea what chiropractic care is about, and have no simple common sense, as wellOf COURSE they are selling us once we come in the doorThere is a chiropractor on every corner in Raleigh, North CarolinaI have seen other chiropractors
I have been receiving treatment for two yearsWhen I began, DrBaron Holt and his staff worked with me so that I could afford the treatments, which cost less than one third of what others chargeBecause I am not an it, I understood what the $was for and I understood that part of their job is to sell me on treatmentWith constant back and joint pain, I was not a hard sell This practice is wonderfulThe doctors are efficient, kind, and pleasantI saw unbelievable improvement in four monthsI feel like a new personEfficient, kind, and cheapWhat more can we ask?

High pressure sales, they overcharge services, want payment for 7 months, took away "discount" when I didn't want to continue & wanted full priceThe high pressure tactics they use are unbelievable. All they want is your money and don't care about you. They brag on how he works for charities and [redacted] athletes, I couldn't care less about this but they need to focus on what they can do to help their consumers. They want payment upfront for 7 months or monthly payments which is a lot of money. I asked about submitting for insurance and they blew me off saying "oh you have a high deductible" when in fact mine is quite low. They gave me a "discount" rate (still super expensive) and when I wanted to quit because of the RUDE behavior of this chiropractor, they took away the discount and made me pay FULL Price for all services. The chiropractor got angry at me one day when I went to his office and said I was ready for adjustment because no one else was around. He accused me of not doing exercises they require and harped on how he knows where everyone is in the office at all times. They pressured me to use my flex spending card. Now my flex spending company will not approve the charges (they want proof they submitted it to insurance) and the card is still frozen months later which is causing problems because we need that money for other health problems. Unbelievable, unethical and they are not trustworthy. .Desired SettlementI would like to have a refund based on the original discount rate they presented. To offer that and take it away when someone decides not to continue is unethical and wrong. They never submitted to insurance which has caused a financial burden with my flex card being frozen and additional charges to my charge card. Business Response We have spoken to this patients spouse in person to help them resolve the issue with their flex card. We have many patients who use flex or HSA without any problem. Per the request of the flex account, we have submitted this patients treatments to her insurance company. Hopefully this will suffice. In our office we discuss the cost of treatment up front and provide a written explanation. There are no hidden costs and no contracts. If a patient needs to stop their treatment they are simply responsible for services rendered. This patient had 2 phases of treatment. She stopped in her first phase to which no discounts were given. This is in writing and signed by the patient. I'm sorry that there has been a misunderstanding here and we would've been happy to explain further.

I have been receiving treatment for two years. When I began, Dr. Baron Holt and his staff worked with me so that I could afford the treatments, which cost less than one third of what others charge. Because I am not an it, I understood what the $40 was for and I understood that part of their job is to sell me on treatment. With constant back and joint pain, I was not a hard sell. This practice is wonderful. The doctors are efficient, kind, and pleasant. I saw unbelievable improvement in four months. I feel like a new person. Efficient, kind, and cheap. The doctor and staff misrepresented themselves to gain me as a new client and would not refund my money after I came to my appointment and was unhappyI was [redacted] when the doctor and staff stopped me to 'check my nerves' with a tool and computer system and Dr [redacted] told me he could help with my medical ailments at his doctors office. He then told me of a new patient special for $40, without insurance, that would cover an examination and X-rays if needed. I had to pay right then and make an appointment to get the promotion. When I showed up for my appointment at the 'office' on Oct16th I walked into an environment filled with spiritual goods, around 10 bibles in the front waiting area, holistic quotes on the walls and very loud gospel music. There was a wide open area that the treatments/adjustments take place and there were streamers everywhere for a movie night event. There was also a huge target on the wall that said 'cancer killers' on it but the doctor did not even know how cancer was treated. I am a radiation therapist and treat cancer patients with radiation and he did not know that practice. I immediately told the secretary and doctor I was uncomfortable with the office and expected a doctors office. The doctor asked if I was 'breaking up with them' as in its not you it's me. I felt even more uncomfortable as a patient. I asked for my $40 back since this was not what I was told I was paying for and the doctor said he guessed he didn't describe it right at [redacted] but they would not give me my money back since I did not cancel in advance. I told him I thought I was coming to a doctors office and would not have cancelled in advance if this was the business I payed for. He them tried to give me his card and said he would keep my money to go towards another appointment if I changed my mind. I then said I didn't want his card since I would not feel comfortable coming back and I thought it was wrong to keep my money. I think false advertising and sales at [redacted] and misleading patients into thinking they are going to get help from a doctors office is extremely dishonest and I deserve to get a refund for services not rendered. Thank you for your time.Desired SettlementI would like a refund of my $40 for services I did not get from being mislead into believing I was making an appointment at a doctors office. Thank you.Business Response This is Dr. [redacted] from Revolution Chiropractic and I met this person out in the community. For clarification, Dr. [redacted] never did meet this person in or outside of the office. It appears there was a miscommunication on what to expect. What we do out in the community is spine/nerve system checks. If someone would like further help at our office, I can make an appointment for them. We were raising money for [redacted] Network and we donate our services and ask for a $40 donation for [redacted] On the appointment sheet I give, it says, "(Reservation Fee is Non-Refundable)" underneath the appointment date and time. In Circumstances where someone cancels that appointment ahead of time, we have refunded that money. However, when someone attends the appointment and takes that reserved space, we do not refund that money. The atmosphere in our office is energetic, enthusiastic, and we get compliments weekly, so for that we do not apologize. We do have Bibles out in the waiting room along with health related magazines and other reading materials. It is up to each individual person which material they would like to read. There are holistic quotes on the walls as Chiropractic is a holistic profession and we play Christian music along with other genres of music. Our patients appreciate our open format and welcome a community feeling and vibe. We are currently promoting our workshop so our office is decorated accordingly. We have workshops every month on current health topics at no charge for our patients and their guests. Rest assured we are a professional doctor's office and perform all exams thoroughly in a private exam room. Our goal is always helping the patient and finding the cause of their problem, not simply masking the symptoms. We help a lot of patients in this community and get tremendous results. I would find it unfair to state someone is not going to get help at our office without evening going through the proper process and knowing what we do or how we help people. Our process is not misleading at all. If someone is having a problem and they want help, I will tell them whether or not I feel I can help them. It is up to them at that point whether they want to continue with care. This complaint has been resolved and their donation of $40 for [redacted] has been sent back to them. We will personally donate that $40 back to [redacted]Final Consumer Response Received Consumer Rebuttal 2013-10-29 I had asked for the doctors card when I met him and was told the medical paperowrk was his "card". The only name on it was Dr [redacted] so I was mistaken. When advertising in [redacted] this business did not relay any information as far as fundraising for [redacted] Network. There were no signs and I was not told that was what they were doing. I was told my $40 was to pay for xrays and an exam and they were advertising their doctors office. The sheet that may or may not say this was given to me and I was told this was standard medical paperwork for me to fill out for my appointment, which I filled out the day of my exam. Again there was NO mention of [redacted] Network when he handed me this paper either. I never saw the Chiropractic profession as a "holistic medicine" and had been to one before that had the typical professional office. I will know now that that is what they refer to themseves as and will not visit one in the future.I never stated someone could not find help but as far as my experience is concerned, I was extremely mislead into thinking something other than what is being stated by the business and what I was paying for. The business stated they would refund my exam fee and I am satisfied with this response.

Shady ways of calcuating my balance. Then made up a reason why I owe it even though I never missed a payment.Revolution Chiropractic(RC) started me on a treatment plan to pay as I go for services. Initially they gave me a plan to pay 2956.94 on 5/28/2014 (down payment of $739.24 + 316.81/month from 7/14-1/14). So I paid the majority of the down payment using my medical flex account from work. When they requested a receipt to release funds, I called RC. They gave me an itemized invoice saying my total plan was $2091.94. So now I have no idea what my real plan total was. So 10/14 I told them I would no longer be able to come to their practice because I am no longer able to come to the area for treatment. Mind you there is no contract and services are only "paid as rendered" (so they claim). I was out of town most of September due to my sick grandmother who passed in the same month so I only went a few times during the entire month. At the time I canceled in October, I had already paid a total of $2006.48. With me ending this plan 3 months a head of time, I at least assumed we'd break even. However, I was told by RC that I owe them $260 more dollars. Upon trying to get a logical explanation all she said was well services were rendered ahead of payment. How is this so? RC never explained that upfront plus how could I be behind putting down $739.24 and never missing a payment. Since payment is for services rendered I shouldn't have a bill for September minus the 3-4 visits that I went. Then she tried to belittle my math skills to detour me from realizing this isn't making much sense at all. If I was supposed to keep coming for services until January, how do you calculate that I owe you if all services were stopped 3 months a head of time and I missed pretty much a month. And why does 1 plan say one thing and the itemized invoice for my medical spending submission say another? I've struggled with reporting this but I'd hate to pay another $260 for nothing. Please help me make some sense of this?Desired SettlementWell she usually drafts my bank account on the 19th so I'm assuming 11/19/14 is when she will try to take the $260. If processed, I would like a refund. If not processed, cancel it.Business Response In our office all patients are responsible for services rendered. We do however, offer payment plans to help patients spread out the cost, since more costs can be incurred in the beginning of treatment and some receive home equipments and resources. The monthly payment is not a monthly membership, it is simply being credited to the account to pay towards services rendered. A patient is never charged for services not rendered nor missed appointments. Our financial policy that all patients read and sign states that if a patient discontinues treatment that it is possible that they will still owe money since more services are rendered up front than the monthly fee covers.I personally met with [redacted] to discuss how many visits she had used, how much she had paid and let her know the balance outstanding and the date it would be drafted. When we print out a statement for flex it will reflect services rendered up until that point so that is why those numbers don't match up. The larger number is based on total recommendations. [redacted] is paid in full and will be mailed her current statement reflecting all treatment and payments. Consumer Response Revolution Chiropractic (RC) has shady billing practices and continues to refuse return of money owed.Initially I filed a Revdex.com complaint, RC responded so it was closed. I pursued this complaint with my bank who pursued my refund after proper documentation showing the miscalculation and shady billing of this office. I will provide all paperwork from both [redacted] of RC (with highlighted errors) and also the letter from[redacted] because they tried to retrieve my money and RC is refusing refund despite my legitimate documentation (all provided by [redacted] of RC). Consumer's Desired Resolution:$316.81

My card was charged when I specifically told them not to as I have canceled care. I submitted a letter on 7/12/15 saying that I was ending my care and to not charge my card on 7/15/15 as I was switching care because the doctor is decised and is no longer there. The payment amount is $111.08 and the method is debit card. Desired SettlementI am filing a dispute form.Business Response This patient has been receiving care in our office for over five years with great results. She has also received significant discounts. Each year we make recommendations; Dr. [redacted] had recommended 52 visits total for the year. We always tell our maintenance patients that they will not be financially responsible for any additional visits within the 12 month time frame. We also offer a monthly payment option. This monthly payment option has never been communicated as a monthly membership; they payments are simply going towards services rendered. At this time, this patient has had more services rendered than what has been paid for. Our office attempted to contact her to discuss her account, but did not get any response.
