Our returns department incorrectly assumed that we had received the item back and misinformed the customer at that time that we had received it, when in fact we had not yet received the package.We would be willing to refund in full if we had the product back, as it was not ready for the wedding in
time.Unfortunately, we never received the ring back from USPSWithout the customer providing us with tracking information, we have no way of issuing a lost item dispute with USPSWe also have no way of proving that it was ever mailed back to us.Perhaps the customer could contact USPS and have them do a search for items shipped from the customer to us, and provide a tracking number?If the customer can provide a tracking number to us, we will issue a refund to the customer immediately and file a lost item dispute with USPS

I am rejecting this response because: My USPS case number is [redacted] requested on 6/15/2017, but USPS has no record of cash payments and I have no bank statement for the shipment (since it was a cash payment).Kelly obviously made a simple mistake in confirming the return was received. Unfortunately, that small mistake caused the package tracking information to be assumed fulfilled by myself and I threw it out. Now the package is untraceable, as a result of that mistake.

Our legal representation has asked us not do anything until USPS tracking number and the package is traced. The custom should be able to provide the USPS with his bank statements showing the date the shipping and tracking were paid for along with the case numbers that were open with the USPS. If the customer fails to do his duty to follow through with the USPS tacking he has not fulfilled his due diligence in terms of exhausting his remedies and mitigating his damages. It is his burden to prove that the ring was sent/received by us, In terms of what our employee said, it holds no legal weight. It can be rectified by a sworn statement from Kelly stating that she misspoke, made a mistake and has taken proper steps to correct the mistake. We have had to file cases with the USPS before and each of them has been given a case number and details as to what conclusion was found. Providing them bank statements and dates that the customer had paid for shipping and tracking would be found though the USPS system.

We are confused, as they said that they had been calling and emailing us constantly and received no response. We have responded every time within hours to their emails.About the product, though; it was remade entirely and shipped back to them on January 5th with the USPS tracking number [redacted]...
