From: OM Jody W [redacted] Sent: Thursday, November 17, 9:AM To: info Subject: FW: [redacted] Greetings, We received follow up today regarding this case Our final response to the matter is as follows: Following receipt of the complaint, I left a voice message for the patient requesting a call back to discuss and clarify Collecting the amount for an insurance deductible is quite subjective as we do not generally know if the patient has already met their deductible for the calendar year since they could have received services elsewhere I have provided training to my staff, with questions to ask our patients to determine if we need to collect the deductible to avoid this confusion in the future The patient has still not made contact with this office to discuss or resolve the complaint The balance of $has been paid Thank you for your time Please advise if there is anything further you need from us Sincerely, Jody DW***, Office Manager Aspen Dental E Main St Plainfield, IN (317) 837-

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I have contacted the office I was told that the $was the deductible If I owed at the time of service, then why was I not billed the entire amount? A sign at the desk stated, that the payment must be made in full before service was rendered When I paid, I noticed that it was less than the I made an attempt to question that, and the person at the desk could not tell me why This appears to be a major billing failure I have paid it, just so that it doesn't end up in court I don't know if I can trust Aspen Dental, if this is how they do their billing Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I have contacted the office.  I was told that the $50 was the deductible.  If I owed 132.40 at the time of service, then why was I not billed the entire amount?  A sign at the desk stated, that the payment must be made in full before service was rendered.  When I paid, I noticed that it was less than the 132.40.  I made an attempt to question that, and the person at the desk could not tell me why.  This appears to be a major billing failure.  I have paid it, just so that it doesn't end up in court.  I don't know if I can trust Aspen Dental, if this is how they do their billing.

From: OM 1009 Jody W[redacted] <JW[redacted]@aspendental.com> Sent: Wednesday, November 9, 2016 4:26 PM To: info Subject: [redacted]   Hello,   We received notice today of a complaint about our business.  Following is our response to the complaint outlined above.   The balance that...

remains ($50) is the amount of his insurance deductible applied to his account.  The patient signed a treatment agreement that outlined a total due of $132.40 on 9/6/16 for services to be rendered.  The patient was only charged $82.40 on the day of service (9/15/16).  The amount remains a valid debt.  To my knowledge, the patient has not contacted our office (at any time) to attempt to resolve or understand the matter.    Thank you for your time.  Please advise if there is anything further you need from us.   Sincerely, Jody D. W[redacted], Office Manager Aspen Dental 2377 E Main St Plainfield, IN  46168 (317) 837-8700
