Revdex.com spoke with the business. The same method was used during job. The customer did not contact him until a few weeks after the job to say the seal had some issues. It is his understanding if his job had broken the seal the issue would have been noticed soon after because the fogging would have started.

The statement from the business that I did not contact them immediately, therefore they could not have caused the damage is ridiculous.  I am very busy and travel a lot,  I also did not initially make the connection that it was the power washing that caused the damage. I saw the damage and tried to determine it's cause.  After showing the damage to several window professionals, it is very clear now that they did damage the window based on the fact that all 4 windows went bad at the same time shortly after the power washing.  Fogging in windows occurs shortly after the seal is damaged.  [redacted] claim that the windows were already damaged and his spraying water on them caused them to fog is also unfounded.  They would have fogged previously.
The fact is the windows are damaged.  [redacted] employee was the last to touch the windows.  [redacted] did not witness the window being sprayed, for all he knows, the employee misused the equipment. It is clear that [redacted] is making excuses and not taking accountability for is actions.
As former President of the Homeowners Association for [redacted], I am going to recommend to the board and to Community Group to stop using this company unless this is resolved immediately
I have hired a contractor to repair the windows.  The price is $1500.  My offer is for Reyco to pay half or $750.  I think this is more than reasonable.

Review: Reyco power washed my townhouse, and all of the townhouses in my neighborhood, and as a result, the seals started leaking on 4 of the palladium windows on the back of my townhouse and they have suddenly fogged up. I have had several window companies come out to give me quotes to repair the damage and they all have said the even low pressure power washing directly sprayed on the window can damage the seals. I contacted [redacted] the [redacted] of Reyco and he claims that his pressure washer does not put out enough pressure to damage a window. Even thought the windows were sprayed at a distance of over 20 feet away. The fact is the windows were fine before the power washing and now need replacement. [redacted] has refused to file a claim with his insurance, or pay anything towards the damage.Desired Settlement: I am asking for Reyco to pay the costs of this repair. The estimates for the damage range from $1500 to $2000. I have 3 estimates.

[redacted] contacted me about this issue around a month after washing the townhome units and told me he is having a hard time selling his unit without replacing his one window (4 panes) and I have discussed this issue with [redacted]. I informed him that there is absolutely now way that our soft wash house cleaning method could possibly break the seals on his or any other window. We do not shoot high pressure on the siding or windows so issues like this can not occur. Also, I did contact my insurance agent and he advised me to not file a claim because it was unfounded and they even said that our house washing method could not break window seals. I also have contacted other professionals in the soft wash pressure cleaning and home window industries about this issue. The soft wash pressure cleaning professionals who have been in the industry for many years have all also agreed that there is no way that a soft wash house cleaning could harm a window seal. The home window experts informed me that the average life span of builder grade window seals is about 10 years, and [redacted]'s windows were installed in 1998 making them 16 years old. Also, window seals fail over time due to heat from the sun and the expanding and contracting of the glass from the outside temperatures. With the changing weather and colder temperatures with this time of year that is most likely the culprit, not a soft building wash. We washed 93 townhome units in [redacted]'s complex and have done so for over six years with the same method and have never had an issue with this. If our washing method was able to break the seals on the older windows in the townhome complex many more than just one out of hundreds would have broken. I also discussed this with the head of the townhome association and he confirmed there has never been an issue with the windows as well. I stand behind my work 110% and if I thought there was any possibility that we could have done the damage I would have no problem paying to replace his window. I have been in this industry for 14 years and have washed thousands of homes and have never had a problem with window seals. [redacted] may want to associate his windows seal going bad with the townhome cleaning, but that is simply not the case.

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I read the response from the company and do not accept it. It doesn't matter if the windows were damaged by a garden hose or a pressure washer. Regardless of age, my windows were undamaged prior to the power washing and now they are damaged. Some windows come with a lifetime warranty. I spoke to a window professional about window damage. If the seals were damaged prior to the power washing, they would have become cloudy shortly after the seal failed. Since they did not become cloudy until after the power washing it is clear that it was the source of the damage. [redacted] also admitted that he did spray my windows directly with the power washer from the ground a distance of over 12 feet. The power to do this alone could be damaging. This is never recommended by the window manufacturers. Also the window professional pointed out that they replace windows that were damaged by power washing often.

[redacted] claimed that his power washer could not put out enough pressure to damage a window, but how can he be so sure. What was the exact PSI that was used on my house. When was the pressure washer calibrated? Can he supply a log with the details? If the pressure washer used my tap water, was it calibrated based on the water at my house because [redacted] county water pressure varies greatly from area to area. Regardless of pressure, if he damaged the window with a garden hose, it is still damage.

I would like to also comment on [redacted] statements about this never happening before. Just because something has not happened in the past, doesn't mean it won't happen in the future. That is the what insurance is for, accidents happen. I am pleased that the company has a good track record, but I would expect them to take accountability when things go wrong. I still expect [redacted] to repair the damage.
