When taking my vehicle to Reyes Auto in April 29th for repairs, upon inspection he recommended I replace the whole transmission instead of the known problem which was the TCM. Because the price was similar for either, I opted to replace the transmission but asked for pictures to be taken of the parts he was using and also for him to hold the parts he took out of my car for me to sell myself. He told me it would take 5-7 days to be fixed and then proceeded to take much longer than anticipated with no clear communication. I called on a day he said the car would be done and he said he was just now leaving to go pick up the parts when he claimed he was waiting on shipping for the parts, and I asked if I could come pick up my old transmission since my car was in the shop disassembled and he informed me that he had already sold them. A week later going to pick up my car, he was just getting back from out of town and when I got in my car, both the engine light and AT light were on and he claimed he hadn’t had time to inspect it and wanted to keep it for another day, he also said when I inquired further on my old parts that he didn’t think I could sell them myself. The following day I returned and he was not at the shop to meet me. One of his employees gave me my keys and when I got in my car, the engine light was still on so I called him and he said that was normal and it would turn off by itself in 2-3 days and if not I could come back. That night while driving home, my car began shaking and sputtering the way it had been before I replaced anything. I took the car back again the next day and told him that I needed receipts for the parts he had put in my car because they were obviously broken. He was not at the shop again, but rather left me to explain my problem to his son because Mr Reyes called me wanting to know what was wrong. He claimed they weren’t broken because otherwise the car wouldn’t be operating, but the car was not operating correctly. I left the car with them after having the mechanic present check the engine codes and didn’t hear anything for another few weeks before I was informed they were waiting on a sensor in the mail. I did not pick up my car until July 6th, and though he said it was fixed it began shuddering again driving home, the way it had been before I had gone to get it fixed at all.

I went to Reyes Automotive to buy a new motor for my 01' Buick Century. I was told that they replaced my old motor for a new one, just like I requested and paid for. When I returned home to review in depth of the services I paid for (my new motor). I noticed that I was looking at my same (old motor) with possible head gaskets replacement. I marked the old motor on certain parts for my knowledge prior to the repair at Reyes Automotive. So it was shocking for me to see the same marks on my what is supposed to be NEW motor that I purchased from Reyes Automotive. When I called Reyes Automotive to bring this issue to their attention, they advised me that they did replace it and will not assist me further. I am experienced with mechanics and know what I am looking at. Please see attachments for your records.

I came to Reyes Automotive last September to have a Bank 1 Sensor 1 replaced on my Nissan. The part was bought by them and installed into my car. Less than a year later, the check engine came on again and was for the same reason, Bank 1 Sensor 1. I tried several times in May and June to get a hold of someone there to look into the issue. Finally, in July, I was able to get in touch with the mechanic. First, he stated that he had never worked on my car and I needed proof that he worked on my car. That day I sent him a screenshot of proof that I had paid for the part and labor. He then told me he would look into the warranty and get back to me. It took a few days for him to even respond to me again. Said he can't find a warranty at AutoZone or O'Reillys. I told him that was not where he got the part and asked him to try to find the warranty with who he bought the part from. I have not heard from him since.
