Reynolda Park Assisted Living

Review: We picked Reynolda Park in Winston Salem mainly because of price(they were running a special when we were looking. Their people evaluated my mother in law (Anne M MacFadyen) and deemed her fit for their facility at the special rate. Less than 2 weeks into her stay, the facility advised that she needed additional services that amounted to a little more than a $1000 per month over their quoted monthly rate at the time we applied. We felt we had no choice than to pay. In the fourth month of her stay, they advised that she required more care than they were equipped to provide and we would need to find another facility. Luckily, we found another place and moved her. We paid a deposit of $1500 which we lost plus an additional $4000 over the monthly rate that we were quoted for her 4 month stay. Undoubtedly, they needed to fill beds when we applied(special rate) and, once filled, they went back up on their monthly rate. I have written their home office (Brookdale Senior Living) in Dallas, Texas voicing my complaints and concerns and have received no response.Desired Settlement: Since they evaluated and approved my mother in law for their facility at the special rate, some of the additional $4000 we were required to pay should be refunded along with the deposit of $1500.
