Dear Revdex.com,I reviewed Mr***'s history in our files. Unfortunately rating factors with insurance companies are not within our control as a brokerEach year insurance companies offer their rates which are determined by many factors, credit score being one of themHis premium is actually less
this year than it was last year and since the first year he obtained insurance through us has only increased by $over yearsLess than 3% increase over years is better than average and a consistent rate. We do not determine credit availability, *** does in this case and for the upcoming term he no longer qualifies. He was aware of this prior to the renewal and if he was upset about it, he didn't have to accept the renewal terms. We do not like upset clients and we regret he is not pleased, however there is not anything *** or Reynolds Insurance can do for him*** is the only company we represent that is willing to insure him, so we do not have any other options within our product line upThank you,*** ***President

I am rejecting this response because:I continue to insist that with excellent credit ratings across the board there's no reason why my superior financial responsibility discount should have been eliminated. Mr*** is speaking for *** while at the same time claiming he has no control over what they do. My preference would be to speak to *** directly, but they are using the broker as a buffer. While I could simply terminate *** it seems more important to issue complaints when companies engage in such predatory business practices. I was in contact with my broker several times to appeal the decision on this, which turned out to be a pointless endeavor.My first premium was $1173, the latest $1318; this represents a 9% increase not the 3% increase Mr*** indicates. As Mr*** should know, my insurance changed last year to a landlord's policy and was supposed to decrease by a couple of hundred dollars. *** and Reynolds found a way to prevent that.Once again, I request that Reynolds and *** review this decision and restore my superior financial responsibility discount rather than find erroneous ways to defend it.And again I express my regret over referring friends to a company that engages in such business practices
