When my subscription came up for renewal last June, I did not submit remittance. I did, in writing, request that my subscription be cancelled. After the expiration of this subscription, the Herald continued to deliver their newspaper. We called the Herald and informed them that the subscription had been cancelled. Delivery stopped, but we then began receiving bills for $22. We have made 2 phones calls as well as having emailed and written to the Herald's customer service to dispute the claim of money owed. They are trying to charge us for newspaper delivery that they continued to make after cancellation notice. They have now turned this over to a collection agency, as we have just received a notice of collection. We ask that the Herald stop trying to collect monies for service and products that were never requested. Their customer service has been offshored and we have gotten no satisfaction in trying to resolve this directly with the Herald.

I did not renew my subscription to the Herald when delivery ended on 9/29/The Herald continued delivery for one month following that dateAt the end of that period, the Herald contacted me via telephone asking why I no longer wanted to receive the deliveryAt the end of the conversation, the gentleman said that I owed the Herald $for the month I did not authorize deliveryI indicated to him that I did not believe I should have to pay the charge since I did not authorize itOn 12/2/17, I received a note from a collection agency demanding payment of the amount I have mailed a letter to the Herald documenting my complaint along with a check for the specified amount
This is an extremely poor business practice (billing for an unauthorized product)

I phoned the Bellingham Herald the week of 3/9/from my work phone and asked that my subscription be cancelled when it was due for renewal as of 3/13/since I was planning on being out of state for 2-weeks and then moving to a new residenceLast week I wanted to subscribe again and I was told I had a past due balance because my paper was delivered while I was goneThe customer representative had asked me to place my subscription on hold rather than cancelling it when I called in MarchI found out recently that they can then continue to charge me whether I get the paper or notI called in good faith that my paper would be halted while I was away and that did not happenI never received a past due mailing or phone call between the stop request in March and my request to resubscribe last weekI spoke with a Herald supervisor and my account balance is now in disputeA former neighbor told me today that the paper is still being delivered to my former homeI asked them to take
