Mrs*** *** booked an event with Reza's Restaurant, Oak Brook on 04/15/2015, signing a contract guaranteeing guestsOn the
day of her event May 5th, 2015, the number of people who attended the occasion was 68, exceeding the minimum guaranteed peopleEvidently the bill that was generated was for guestsMrs*** was provided with a copy of her receipt showing detailed information with the number of guests, tax and gratuity percentage and a $deduction for the deposit provided on April 15th, After reviewing her bill Mrs*** agreed with the given details and provided her *** *** The consumer signed the credit card receipt copy agreeing with the total amount and left our venue without raising any objections to the service she was provided nor to the generated bill
The following week we received a phone call from Mrs***, denying the amount of guests that attended the occasion based on the amount of people she counted from the photos taken during her eventUnfortunately this is not a method that we use to determine number of guests attending an eventThe manager on duty tried explaining to Mrs*** that the number of people was verified while the guest were still inside the venue and Mrs*** was notified of the number that will be chargedThe management contacted the owner of the business Mr*** and he was kind enough to issue a gift certificate for the amount of $for any of the confusion that Mrs*** experiencedUnfortunately Mrs*** never appeared to our venue to receive her gift certificate

Thank you for getting back to meWhen I left the party on my way home I called *** and told her that the counting was a little bit off and she had told me thats fine and that I can just call the next day to get the reimbursementAnd said that she will help me as much as she canThats when they all kept bouncing my phone calls back and forth
I don't recall my memory that I signed a contract with them at all and if I did, please ask them to provide you a copy of my signed contractSecond of all, I appreciate the fact that MrReza was kind enough to offer me a gift certificate to THEIR restaurantMy point is not that I want money backMy point is that they overcharged me and when I tried to contact them and talk to them, they would just hold off my calls and now, two months later, I still haven't been able to talk to the owner himselfThe gift card they offered me was for their restaurant and I'm not planning to go back there again due to this incidentI even asked them to put the $back on my credit card that they overchargedBut they said they can only give me a gift certificate to their restaurant
Please ask them to put the money back on my credit card or issue me a Visa gift card that I can use elsewhereThank you

I apologize for the delayed response; unfortunately we received your fax on the same day as the response deadlineReza's Restaurant does not employ any individuals under the name *** therefore we are uncertain as to who Mrs*** spoke to after her eventI have personally spoken to Mrs*** and have clarified several times that the number of people attending an event is determined through counting all the guest while in the venueWe do not bill people based on the amount of guests they have in their photos several days later, the reason being is that in case our customers are in a disagreement with the number applied to their bill we double count at time of party to reassure the customer is being charged for the right amount of peopleWe are also uncertain what kind of reimbursement Mrs*** is seeking, since in her first report she was demanding a refund OR store credit for the amount of $and now she has negotiated down to $credit card refundHowever as a courtesy, Mr***'s offer for a $gift certificate still stands to comfort Mrs*** for the misunderstanding she experienced with the number of her guests who attended her party
