Wow! So refreshing to receive qualified, quality service with a positive attitude! I called three places before this one and they were ALL rude, and one wouldn't even service my dryer because we had tried to fix it ourselves firstSheesh! I was stressed without a washer and dryer for a weekThankfully the office staff who answered my call was so polite, and the technician Dennis Peters was professional and helped relieve the stress I as feeling by being capable and positive to handle our dryer and washer situationstars!

In May, my LG washer stopped working & gave a 'water pressure' error (PE)I called RF appliances but could not get throughThe phone would ring but nobody would pick up to answer itI knew somebody was working there because now and then the line would actually be busyAfter days of constant calling without an answer somebody picked upWhen I asked why it was so hard to get through I was told curtly that there was only of them working the phones and they were doing their bestWhen the repairman came out and I repeated the question to him he said "I know, those women just do their nails all day, I'm always arguing with them"I got charged $135, $for the part and the rest for the callThere was a day warranty on the labor and a day warranty on the partOn Nov the same error happenedIt took me days to get somebody to answer the phone this timeI had to pay another $ On December the same error happenedThis time I was within the expensive labor warranty and easily within the day parts warrantyNobody would answer the phone when I called on the then on the 24th then it was Friday Christmas day and the office was closedI called back on Monday the 28th with no answerFinally on Tuesday the 29th somebody answered the phoneWhen I explained that I was within the day warranty but nobody would answer the phone I was curtly told that I would still have to pay the $(plus taxes) labor feeNo "I'm sorry sir" or anything - just a curt attitude of "too bad"I finally conceded that I want them to come out and fix it (because I can't really afford a new washer right now) but I had no intention of paying these people againI was in the right and so why should I pay because they have lazy, incompetent office staff - right? A repairman called before he was due to come out and told me the real problem was with a computer board they no longer make so I will have to get a new washerWhen I explained the story of unanswered phone calls he said he would try and get a rebate for meI don't hold out much hope if office staff make that decision In the end I have to get a new washer but it will never be an LG brand because these people at RF APPLIANCES have the monopoly in Winnipeg and dealing with them is an exercise in extreme frustration

I just wanted to share my positive experience with RF Appliance repairI purchased a new fridge and I knew something was wrong as it was getting much hotter than it should on the outsideI was given the names of companies to call from the manufacturer, RF Appliance took my complaint seriously (first company was impolite and rude over the phone, saying it was usual and wanted to disregard that there was an issue) and were able to come days laterThe technician (***) called prior to arriving and at the time I was told, saw the problem right away (a piece of the draining tray had broken off and was caught in fan so there was nothing cooling off the motor making it much too hot and would have blown my fridge had I listened to the first guy from the other repair shop telling me this was with a new fridge) The problem with the fan was solved right away, a new draining tray was ordered and installed the following week, again the technicians were punctual, pleasant and they were in and out in just a few minutesA picture of my bill was taken and that was all that was needed as it was under warrantyI would highly recommend their services to anyone in need of appliance repair

I was not pleased with my experience with RF Appliance I phoned them Thursday they could not be there till Monday afternoon. My LG fridge years old with French doors and bottom freezer was not keeping coldThe technician came down and said it was the compressor*** *** He told me it was the compressor and it would probably cost 1100-dollars to fixMeanwhile I had time to go on the internet when I was waiting since Thursday and found out how to test the compressorHe agreed to and discovered the compressor was fine but told me I still have a freon leak somewhere and they do not fix sealed unitsHe then gave me a dollar bill for the service charge and the minutes of his time.I called LG and discovered there was another company in my area and guess what they fix sealed unitsPlease stay away from this company

everything was perfect

In May, 2015 my LG washer stopped working & gave a 'water pressure' error (PE). I called RF appliances but could not get through. The phone would ring but nobody would pick up to answer it. I knew somebody was working there because now and then the line would actually be busy. After 2 days of constant calling without an answer somebody picked up. When I asked why it was so hard to get through I was told curtly that there was only 2 of them working the phones and they were doing their best. When the repairman came out and I repeated the question to him he said "I know, those 2 women just do their nails all day, I'm always arguing with them". I got charged $135, $26 for the part and the rest for the call. There was a 30 day warranty on the labor and a 90 day warranty on the part. On Nov 26 the same error happened. It took me 3 days to get somebody to answer the phone this time. I had to pay another $135. On December 23 the same error happened. This time I was within the expensive 30 labor warranty and easily within the 90 day parts warranty. Nobody would answer the phone when I called on the 23 then on the 24th then it was Friday Christmas day and the office was closed. I called back on Monday the 28th with no answer. Finally on Tuesday the 29th somebody answered the phone. When I explained that I was within the 30 day warranty but nobody would answer the phone I was curtly told that I would still have to pay the $99 (plus taxes) labor fee. No "I'm sorry sir" or anything - just a curt attitude of "too bad". I finally conceded that I want them to come out and fix it (because I can't really afford a new washer right now) but I had no intention of paying these people again. I was in the right and so why should I pay because they have lazy, incompetent office staff - right?
A repairman called before he was due to come out and told me the real problem was with a computer board they no longer make so I will have to get a new washer. When I explained the story of unanswered phone calls he said he would try and get a rebate for me. I don't hold out much hope if office staff make that decision.
In the end I have to get a new washer but it will never be an LG brand because these people at RF APPLIANCES have the monopoly in Winnipeg and dealing with them is an exercise in extreme frustration.

My LG 3 door freezer/fridge was making a [redacted] of a noise and as I had taken out extended warranty I was directed by [redacted] to your company for service.
I was originally contacted by a lady from your company and Dennis[redacted] came out to investigate. He new immediately what the problem was, but did not have the required. He said he would return in about a week and perform a fix.
As good as his word he came back in about a week and installed a new "defrost fan" in the freezer. The whole job took him about 1/2 hour as he was very efficient.

He was also a very nice young and vary polite and on time in a cordance with his earlier phone call informing me of his arrival time.

Your office staff tat I spoke to were also very polite and a pleasure to deal with..

I would recommend your company for repairsto appliances to anyone.

Regards.....Vic [redacted]
