This client has hired unlicensed contractors to work in conjunction with our work, causing all sorts of quality and legal issuesHer husband who is an electrical contractor in the union, NOT licensed to do electrical work in Westchester County had a friend cover him to do the work, instead of
opening walls and ceilings he made little holes everywhere snaking wires resulting in patch work not in the contract and near impossible to make look proper.They also hired *** *** to design the kitchen, the kitchen cabinets when arrived that we were to install do not fit the kitchen space nor does it match the drawing they provided us to price and installThe quality of the cabinets is poor, the cabinets don't fit the space and they now expect us to customize what they have an try and make it work and of course at no additional costThey purchased an inexpensive glue down Vinyl floor for us to install, then at a later date on their own installed a fire place blowing scorching hot air directly on this vinyl floor and the floor has now shrank, moved and damaged directly in that location and they are not taking accountability for this actionTo save money they left their existing tile back splash from their old kitchen in place, then designed a new kitchen expecting the old splash to work with the new and different lay-out of the new kitchen cabinets and as we told them it would not work, it does not work and again trying to point fingersLastly, I have asked them to agree in a final punch list and final accounting of the project in writing on many occasions, they are only willing to discuss the punch list not the accounting, why would one avoid agreeing upon the financial or even discuss it, unless they have no intentions of paying? I have many correspondences in writing showing this factWe are ready, able and willing to complete the project, all we have asked for is to meet and agree upon the final punch list and accounting and they are unwilling to do soWe are eager to finish up, we feel agreeing upon the final punch list and accounting, in writing is not to much to askRespectfully,

Review: We contracted RH Contracting to repair damages and remodel a kitchen after water damage. The contractor's workers did poor work, which was inspected by my town's building code enforcer and two independent licensed contractors. RH Contracting refused to come and correct damages they caused and poor workmanship (which I have documented in writing and in photographs). Roy H[redacted] refused to send his workers because he wanted more money from us. I was unwilling to pay any further money until the damages and poor work was corrected. He insisted and threatened to put a lien on our home. We immediately contacted an attorney who is a friend of the family to guide us.Desired Settlement: I will be hiring a reliable contractor who has done a major remodel to a co-workers home to finish what RH contracting has not addressed. I would like to get reimbursed for monies I will have to incur to correct all of the poor work and damages, as well as a portion of work which we just noticed was billed twice.
