Review: November 2013 I gave the owner of Rhinebeck Trading Post, [redacted], many items for her to sell on consignment for me. The items included designer pocket books, a fur coat,, and large amount of costume jewelry. She told me she would catalogue all items to identify them as mine....but she didn't. She let me know she sold one of my bags for 450.00. I called a number of times (for months) to get half the money, that was the agreement, and each time she had an excuse as to why she doesn't have the money for me. One time she said her book keeper sent it out and she would find out what happened. Then she told me she ran out of checks...etc. Blatant lie after lie. And each time she yelled at me and was abusive. March 2014, she finally sent me 150.00 and told me she sold the bag for 300.00. I told her I would like my things back and not do business with her. When I went for my things she had them all packed. When I got home many items were missing! I have photos of what I gave her initially. I informed her of this via phone. She did not disagree and asked if I could give her time because she just moved her home and need more time to "find" the items. Then more months go by....She's sick, her daughters sick, she's out of town, she hasn't gone into the store...on & on!! August 2014 she sent me the missing pocketbook and a check for 54.00. She explained she had to charge me a storage fee for the pocketbook she left out! She has not paid me or returned at least 5 pieces of jewelry.Desired Settlement: I would like a check for the 54.00 she deducted for a storage fee, for the pocket book she left out and I would like the missing jewelry. I have spoken with the Rhinebeck Police. They told me they have many complaints, but regretfully there is nothing they can do. They advised I should take her to small claims court. I've also been in touch with Rhinebeck Chamber of Commerce. They too have had complaints and are aware of her unethical business practices. I'm writing this letter in hopes that she doesn't do this to one more person!

Review: In November 2013 my husband and I spent the weekend in Rhinebeck NY. We purchased several pieces of art work from [redacted] at The Rhinebeck Trading Post. However, there was one piece of artwork that was not signed by the artist, who happened to be local to the area. [redacted] assured us that she would have the artist sign her work and mail it to us with a few weeks. She also invited us to return with the artwork we purchased to have it displaced at a gallery showing in honor of the artist. My husband has tried numerous times to contact [redacted] at The Rhinebeck Trading Post, only to find the number disconnected. We are greatly dissatisfied. She took our money on November 16 2013. She took our address and phone number and she kept our artwork.Desired Settlement: My husband and I would like our money returned to us either in the form of a bank check or money order for the amount of $70.00

Review: July ** 2013 I purchased a necklace at the Rhinebeck Trading Post with a broken clasp. [redacted], the store owner, said she would give the necklace to a woman who would fix the clap and then send it out to me. I paid $40.00 cash for the necklace. I have called numerous times as I've never received the necklace. With each conversation, I am assured that the necklace will be sent out, or has been sent out, was sent out INSURED, then must have been lost in the mail however when asked about the tracking since it was insured, she had no answer.I e-mailed the Chamber of Commerce in Rhinebeck, then a few days later got my first call from [redacted] saying that she would see to it that the necklace was sent out or she would send me back my money. She asked for my zip code as it wasn't on the sales slip. Her phone call to me was last Monday, September [redacted] at 8:** in the AM. I have not received the necklace or my money back. I feel there is no point in calling as I have 6 phone calls to her logged in August and more in September. I have obviously been scammed and lied to. My phone bills show the numerous calls I've made to [redacted]. With each call, I've been promised the necklace.Desired Settlement: I would either like the necklace that I purchased sent to me with a working clasp OR I would like a bank check or money order back for $40.00.
