Review: On 6-15-2015 at 1:45 pm I had my boyfriend [redacted] Hallas drop my car off at the Rhinelander Honda dealership for an oil change appointment at 2:00 pm. I recently purchased this car from a private party and have been routinely checking my oil and other fluids and realized I was due to bring the car in for an oil change. After my boyfriend dropped my car off for the oil change, he received a phone call at 2:48 pm stating there was a crack in my oil pan and oil leaking out and that it was probably from hitting a curb. This car had never been low on fluids or oil, and there is no evidence where the car is always parked at my home of any leaking of oil. This crack, which I have photos of, would never been able to have held enough oil in the oil pan to be able to drive it to the dealership. I believe the damage to the oil pan was done during the time frame that the dealership had my vehicle in its possession. There is an area on the edge of the parking lot with damage to the lot with many metal scrapes from vehicles hitting the hard pavement. I have photos of this as well. I believe that the person that drove my car from the parking lot into the service area and put it up on the hoist bottomed out my car in their parking lot causing the crack in the pan and all of the oil to consequently leak out.

At no time, even after requests from myself and my mother, were we able to speak to the person that drove the car into the service area or put the car on the hoist. The service manager told my mother that this crack happened because my boyfriend hit it on a rock in the woods, which he never did. At no time did my boyfriend or anyone else state that the car had been driven in the woods or hit anything. This car has had street driving only .

On 6-16-17 I went to the dealership with my mother to again attempt to resolve the complaint I have about the extensive damage Honda has caused to my vehicle. The person that initially spoke with us stated that there was nothing they would do. My mother asked to speak to his manager and the store manager [redacted] was called. At this time, I was upset because the employee had told me there was nothing they would do and when I said I felt that their tech caused the damage, this employee held up his hand to me and said "stop talking, I'm done with you". At this point, Mr. [redacted] showed up and my mother asked them to fully investigate the situation as it didn't make any sense that this vehicle would even have been able to be driven to the dealership at all with no oil. Mr. [redacted] was also asked to let us speak with the original tech who drove the car and put it onto the hoist. Mr. [redacted] assured my mother he would fully investigate this as it sounded suspicious. He also said he would do this investigation himself. Before leaving, my mother went back inside to ask for the keys to the vehicle because I have my house key on it and the other employee that called Josh told her that he wouldn't give them to her because the "car was safer with them than her". My mother told them we would like the house key off the key ring and he did finally go get it. Josh said he would get back to us on Monday. He then stated he would get back to us the following day.

On 6-17-15, Mr. [redacted] called me to state that he would have been willing to work with me on this issue, however, because my boyfriend posted about it on Facebook, that he wouldn't talk me any further and that they would not fix the car at all. A friend of mine that was mentioned in the Facebook comment because she works at the dealership is subsequently having her position eliminated over this even though she had no actual involvement. She did overhear Mr. [redacted] asking the service manager after we picked up the vehicle "what actually happened to the car anyway?".They have not investigated this at all as they had promised to do and they refuse to take any responsibility what-so-ever for damaging my vehicle.

When we went in the evening to pick the vehicle up on 6-17-15, the staff at Honda made faces at my boyfriend and were very rude to him. I simply want a full investigation to this matter and a resolution. This vehicle was damaged by their staff and they are taking no accountability for their actions.Desired Settlement: I wish to have my vehicle repaired by a mechanic of my choosing and costs of repairing this vehicle that are incurred by myself to be reimbursed by the Rhinelander Honda dealership. Thank you.
