Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The paint is now 3 years old - it took two years to get a response from Roger S [redacted] . The painter came this summer and did another patch but there were many others left untouched. There are multiple peeling patches all around the house. The garage and pump house were painted at the same time as the house with no proper preparation. The paint is peeling to the point where we were required to primer the places before we could get a home improvement loan. I expect the entire paint job to be covered under the lifetime warranty and I do not see a viable solution unless it is completely redone in the proper manner that RhinoShield promises. They have a specific procedure that is to be followed. I have no trust in the painter that did the job in the beginning. He is non-communicative and he did not prepare the house properly. Sincerely, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: We understand that the house paint will most likely be taken care of in the Spring; however, we have been told this before and are quite skeptical. We are still waiting to have the garage and pump house redone as we paid $2,to have them properly painted and they are now peeling and bare wood is exposed. That correction was promised in the Fall of and nothing has been done
Sincerely,

Please address the consumers concerns through our online complaint process

Dear Revdex.com,This is in response to the complaint from [redacted] on Dec 7, 2017.  There is a very serious problem with the job that was done on the [redacted] home.  Tim F[redacted] was sub contracted by us to apply the Rhino Shield on their home. He sent a unqualified crew to do the job. We provided training material so that a crew would be able to do the job right. At first F[redacted] agreed to help fix the problem by providing the labor to clean off the areas that were failing and we would provide the product and labor to redcoat that area.  Now a F[redacted] has refused to offer any help to repair the job.  I had told the [redacted] that even if  F[redacted] refused to help I would make it good. I don’t have a paint crew that is dedicated to us.  They are independent contractors.  I am at the mercy of their schedule.  The [redacted] were not happy with the colors they chose, so, in good faith I offered to change the color of the whole house and garage for them at my expense.  After ordering custom color tinted at the cost of approximately $8000, they said they were going to sell.  It is true if I had known they wanted to sell the house I would have just fixed what needed to be done and not recoated the whole house and garage.  We are committed and we already have them on the calendar to redo the entire house with the custom color to better match the logs.I was up there with the owner of Raz Comm on Dec 8, 2017 and he agreed to take his crew up there to get the job done in the Spring of 2017. Sincerely,Roger S[redacted]

[redacted]'s home is an older home with lap siding.  Depending on the weather is looks very good.  The painter has been out there a few times trying to figure out the problem.  There seems to be a lot of thermal cycling (movement of the siding according to the temperature...

changes).  This last year  the painter had gone out again to address the problem and the [redacted]s were very pleased.  Then we had a record heat which caused a lot of movement and you can see the caulking on the bottom edge in some areas.  The home is very well protected with the coating.  I do plan to go by and check it out again.  In regards to the pealing paint.: The first time heard about that was from their son when he called me from California.  It is on the garage.  The garage was not done with the Rhino Shield Ceramic Coating but with regular paint.Sincerely, Roger S[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: To Whom It May Concern:DEC 2, 2017The fall of 2016 Tim F[redacted] of F[redacted] Painting INC., [redacted]. and RogerS[redacted] of Rhino Ceramic Coatings of Oregon, LLC, [redacted] came up to look at thehouse because of peeling paint, expose wood etc. After much whining between the two business men 1 got a verbalfrom F[redacted] that he would put in x amount of hours, around one hundred, to repair and repaint the two structuresinvolved and Roger S[redacted] agreed in writing and signed a note saying the spring of 2017 would be when they wouldcome back and remove all the Rhino Shield on garage and south and west side of home all areas of peeling. To my dismay Tim F[redacted] has now refused to do anything and Roger came up early summer and we agreed oncolors etc. and he said July would be when it was done, then August, then end of September and now it is Dece3mberand he is and has been using the excuse the paint company is busy with their customers and will get to me when theyare done with their customers. This is just a delay tactic. If the one company is delaying, and F[redacted] is refusing tocome up and help with this disaster and Roger isn't able to get another paint company to come up here, who replacesall the wood surface that has been exposed to all the rain etc. and is now rotting? I had to have someone come in and tear out half my rotten log rails and put in a new railing. The other half is rotting now. The garage siding which is login appearance is now rotting. Who takes care of all the damage? It has nearly been two years since filing a complaintwith Roger and Tim. Please notify the public of their negligence and lack of backing the guarantees.I let Roger S[redacted] know I was possibly putting my house up for sale and his remark was that he shouldn't have triedto please me with color changes etc. and he is now not responding at all when I tried to find out when this paint andrepair is going to take place. We signed an agreement in July. I will send you copies of our agreements and I am sending a copy of this letter to Roger, Tim and [redacted]I sure Tim will only respond with a comment of it is not his painters fault and that it is the paint. I am sure Roger willrespond with he has no control over the paint company issues and that this was all F[redacted]'s fault with theapplication and prep of the paint. Does it really matter? I am the consumer and customer. I am being ignored andnothing is being done to take care of this issue. How could I possibly sale this house looking the way it does? With Great Concern,[redacted]
Sincerely,
