I have contacted Rhino Linings of Auburn, WA and they will evaluate the damage and go from there. Review: 2/28/2012 I had Rhino Linings of Silverdale, Wa install a new liner in my 1991 Dodge W250 pickup for $919.28 prior to repainting. Installer wanted to install the liner BEFORE the new paint was applied so he did. After installation he gave me the Warranty and promised the Rhino Lining Lifetime Warranty coverage for chips, pealing or failure. Just bring it back. About a year later the tailgate began to have chips and the liner on the right side of the bed next to the side, started pealing off in strips. Contacting installer got nowhere as he was having medical [heart surgery] issues, never available and has since closed the business. Due to it being under Warranty, I finally emailed Rhino Linings Customer Svc Dept for help under Warranty Coverage, sending photos of the damage as they requested. After a few calls to check up, I got a reply saying it was not covered. This is a private pickup with a canopy, always garaged and used basically only a few times a year during hunting and fishing trips. It has NEVER had heavy items in the bed, gravel, concrete, rocks or the like. And...where the pealing occurs nothing ever touches there so am unsure why it's pealing off like a bandage unless the surface prep was not done properly. I was told I could contact another Installer so 3/23/15 I called Rhino Linings of Auburn, WA., explained the situation and emailed [redacted] the photos. I told his employee I have my own business and couldn't lose business to bring it to them for inspection and he agreed, saying the photos should do it. I followed the email up with a phone call but still no answer. After I told the employee what I paid, he was amazed saying they only charge about $600 for the same job my installer did 3 years ago and was overcharged. Now the bed where it's pealing off is starting to rust and sure the rest is defective. If it's pealing off in one area, it is going to peal off in another. For what I paid, I want it replaced.Desired Settlement: If the liner is failing by pealing and chipping off, it is only common sense to believe the surface prep was not done properly. And...due to the bare truck bed now from the missing liner, rust is beginning. I will have to close up and lose business to drive about 200 miles round-trip to get it replaced. I am fed-up and tired of major companies and their lawyers giving out so-called Warranties that aren't worth the paper they were written on. If I did that to my customers I would [and should] be out of business. I want it replaced like Rhino Linings offered for another customer I read about who complained about the same problem.
