I had a horrible experience at Rhoda's on Park ST - not even worth a 1 star rating but I couldn't complete this without leaving one. The staff were cold and unfriendly but worse than that I took brand new shoes, beautiful dress clothes and other accessories. When I called back a month later to check my account they had nothing on file at all. Only when I left a poor rating on Facebook did the manager call me and asked me to describe items. I deliberately described a few items I had bought there and she said they wouldn't have kept them and they would have been donated to charity. I told her I found it hard to believe since I'd bought them at this location and finally told her I'd had enough of her shifty behaviour and ended the call. This is absolutely unacceptable for a company to operate this way. Super disappointed and frustrated but advise others to beware and I will certainly never support them again.
Connie got very upset and basically accused us of stealing her clothes and told us to take her clothes and choke on them.
This is very disturbing considering they are simply used clothing.
Firstly we do not steal anyone's clothes or accessories. If we do not accept them in our store we donate they all to charity. At this point in time we probably accept only 25% of what comes in the door. We must keep our standards high in order to run a success used business. New customers are informed of this and we also go through the first order brought in to educate new customers of our standards. If they are not acceptable then we refuse all items from that customer.
Connie came into Park to check on her account on a very busy sale day. When the girls tried to find her in the system, they could not. This is when she got very upset. After some investigation we found out her name was spelled incorrectly. This does happen from time to time. Some of it is human error and some of it is because we can't read the customer's writing!
So needless to say we have found her account and have attached a copy for your information. She has sold a few items and there is money on her account.
We attempted several times to call her from the store to advise her of this but she did not answer. I tried from home this morning, she answered and she was very sweet. I guess I will leave it at that.
Just to clarify - nobody went through things with me when I dropped off my clothes (they actually hardly paid me any attention even though I was their only customer at the time). I hadn't been in to the store since that day and was driving when they called so I was unable to answer safely. When they called the second time, I answered. It is unfortunate that you responded to my concerns defensively and snarky (further proving my point) rather than taking this opportunity to take some accountability for your error, put some thought into how you could improve your intake system and customer experience and apologize for the negative experience.
