It is patently that they presented me with three men One man was presented to me after four weeks and he did not meet my criteria The last man was presented to me, as I stated, the day I called to demand a refund I even told them that they were presented me with a man just so that if I continued with my complaint with legal help, they were setting me up to say "we presented you with matches" This is patently false Again, I did not receive contact information from this gentleman I am a paying customer and should receive contact information just as the gentleman received for me The reason they did not give me his contact was because he didn't exist They might claim "confidentiality", but I am a confidential customer too. I will not accept their lies....three gentlemen is FALSE! One is correct, but he was not at all my criteria, and the last was just a ploy so they could say "we presented her with matches". I insist on a refund or I will need to take this to my lawyer

The RI Matchmakers representative with whom I have been working since was rude during our last conversation & hasn't responded to subsequent messages. I've read Customer Reviews on RI Matchmakers since this issue arose & all are negative.

our program UNLESS they pass their background checkWe do not accept those with felonies or domestic abuse chargesWe take this VERY seriouslyWe do not understand why Ms*** is under the impression that her matches did not receive background checks. We would also like to mention that we have found matches for Ms*** since she became a client on May 28th, She did not have dates with all of these men, but she did meet a few of them, according to our recordsEven though we have found these men and Ms*** purchased matches, we “comped” or “bonused back” several matches for herTherefore, she has matches/referrals remaining as of today’s dateWe want her to understand we sincerely want to help her find someone special.Ms*** may not have liked all the men we found for her, but each one showed to be most mutually compatible with her, according to their profile information and compatibility indicatorsWe explain to our clients, and it is written in the Regulations we provide to all clients, that we are matching them with those who are most mutually compatible, we use our best judgment when providing referrals and no two people are generally perfectly compatibleHowever, we do hope for the best with each match we put togetherOur only goal is success for all of our clients.Ms*** signed an agreement which states that her fee is non-refundable unless the client cancels within their 3-day right of rescission, which is why we have explained that she is not eligible for a refund at this timeAlso, we would like nothing more than to continue working with her.Ms*** also signed a client obligation form which states she agrees she must meet all of her purchased matches in order to give our company the full opportunity to meet her expectations of the programShe also agrees not to go to any outside agency prior to trying to resolve any issues directly with our staffThe phone number provided on this form is the phone number for Client ServicesMs*** can ask to speak with someone in the Client Relations DepartmentWe are always here to speak with her.All we want is to continue working with Ms***. The Matchmaker's Client Representative, in her first paragraph calls the Boca Raton company (*** ***) their Affiliate yet she told me by phone days ago they were not affiliated but they agreed to be paid and would provide half the matches (vs 10) and Matchmakers would refund $2,to me The only offer I expect is a full refund of $5, I am a snowbird and decline this company after researching them and finding they too are not accredited by Revdex.com because of similar complaints and are rated by Revdex.com as "F", their lowest rating Regarding her accusation of abusive language, I do not use abusive language--she might be referring to my assertion and belief stated of being involved in a "senior scam." I provided Matchmakers of RI with my log from ***, with full transparency of my cancellation and conversation with their employee on Aug 16, 2017, the date when I learned of the company's deceptions from that employee They claimed they recorded their calls and yet they now deny having the recording I believe they have realized their deceptions I was given I believe all of the facts have now been received by Revdex.com Beyond reporting my problem with this Company to Revdex.com for the sake of other consumers, I am looking forward to having *** *** PERMANENTLY removing my charge of $5,and closing this matter. To Whom It May Concern, We are in receipt of Ms***’s complaintThank you for bringing this matter to our attentionWe have been trying to continue working for Ms***One must actively participate in the program in order for us to do soMs*** has disputed her charge several timesWe
recently reached out to Ms*** upon receipt of this complaint to discuss her program and try to provide her encouragementHowever, she is not interested in doing soWe believe it would be beneficial for her to give the program a fair chanceShe did sign an agreement which states her fee is non-refundable after her 3-day right to rescind and she also signed a client obligation form which states she agrees she must meet all of her purchased referrals in order to give our company the full opportunity to meet her expectations of our programShe also agrees, per this form, to resolve any issues directly with our staff prior to contacting any third-party agenciesWe only wish to move forward in a positive direction with Ms***’s programWe ask her to actively participateWe have her best interest at heartThank you Kindest Regards, Rhode Island Matchmakers

To Whom It May Concern, We are in receipt of Ms***’s additional information provided to the Revdex.comMs*** simply provided her phone records, but not a recording of a phone conversationWe explained to her on several occasions we have logs from her calls and acknowledged she called but reminded her she did not request to cancel within her 3-day right to rescind, per the agreementWe explain our calls may be monitored OR recorded for quality assurance purposesOur representative did not state the information Ms*** is claiming about our program, etcWe are unable to control how one will interpret a conversationWe did offer to alter Ms***’s program to show her we have her best interest at heart and would like to continue working with her, even if that means changing the termsThis was presented as a courtesy to herShe was unopen to our offerWe informed Ms*** we have an affiliate company in Boca Raton, which is miles from her Florida residenceMs*** said she will not drive miles to meet someoneWe explained she would not necessarily be driving miles to meet all referralsThe office is located miles away, but there are clients in the surrounding areaTherefore, there is a good potential of some of them being closer to herShe then stated she was coming back to Rhode Island soon, so we offered to have the affiliate cross-match with us while she’s in townAt this point, Ms*** began using abusive languageWe have been unable to encourage Ms*** to continueWe are affiliated with many matchmaking firms around the nation, but not every single one of themIt is an assumption that a company “does not want to work with us”, because we do not happen to be affiliated with themAs we have explained, we have helped countless couples in their quest to find one anotherWe are only trying to do the same for Ms***We encourage Ms*** to contact *** *** in Boca Raton to discuss coming in for a consultationShe has been unreceptive to our various attempts to resolve this matterWe are unsure what else we can do at this point in timeKindest Regards, Rhode Island Matchmakers

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted].
To Matchmakers of RI: I have no reason to believe in your response and very late offer for me to participate when I was told by your employee just two weeks after I signed with your Company that there were no clients even near my age of 77--and now nearly 78, how long should I be expected to wait for these imaginary suitable matches?  Your contract states that there would be a "suitable" match within 8 weeks which never did materialize nor was there any attempt to correspond with me personally even after I put the matter in dispute with my credit card.  You have denied to the credit card co. the mistruths that were clarified by your employee as falsehoods.  I had no reason for skepticism in 3 days until I inquired about the Florida affiliates that I was told were near me in Juno Beach only to learn that was untrue.  How ironic that you are telling me that I need to meet all my matches when I was told by your employee it was unlikely that any even near my age would materialize and if they did she had no idea when that might occur.  I believe your procrastination in communicating, your failure to provide the promised services within the contracted term (let alone 10 months later), and your lack of acknowledging that you do not have the affiliates in Florida that I requested should prompt you to immediately refund my credit card in the amount of $5,995.00 before any further 3rd parties become involved.

The responses Rhode Island Matchmakers are making are getting more and more absurd. ( I wonder if the Revdex.com is reading this and if they will mediate or intervene? ) None of their responses are dealing with the issues head on and all they are doing is hiding behind the fact that the contract is non-refundable:  They are not addressing the “bait and switch” tactic of the sales rep telling me I’d have a date by next week, yet their intro email says it will take up to 8 weeks. This is a large discrepancy in promises, expectations and commitment. They are not addressing the fact that the sales rep said I would be easy to match up because I was open to matches in New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.  I cannot fathom how a “large” dating service with offices “everywhere” cannot find matches in four states within 8 weeks.  I firmly believe it’s because they don’t have men signed up, and this is a service for sad women who believe that a matchmaking service has enough men and women to make matches, because that is what the sales rep tells them to sign up. They are misrepresenting the fist match they presented me with. I did not “decline” meeting the first man presented to me.  I emphasized to them that he did not meet my criteria and was disappointed in them for presenting me someone outside of my age range, outside of my height range, and outside of job status range. Further, this match was presented me four weeks after signing up.  This four-week wait is unacceptable considering what the sales rep said and considering the four states I am open to. I told them that I did not consider this a match and don’t understand how they consider it a match.  I spent more than an hour with the sales rep going over my criteria.  I spent more time answering questions on their website about criteria.  How can they present me a man who does not meet my criteria?!  That is absurd they would think he was a match.  I believe they present matches that are well outside criteria so that if a refund situation is presented they can hide behind the fact that they presented me with a match.  If they really are “here for me” and want to “find me someone special”, how can they find someone who is NOT my match and then consider that a match?  It’s all a ploy. Their response that they “found” but did not “present” me a match is the most absurd answer yet.  Their job is to find matches and present them.  They said they “ultimately decided not to present”?  But for what reason!  Why would they not present when they care about me and want to find me someone special.  There’s no reason not to present me with matches.  If they did not feel it was a match and that’s why they didn’t match us together then IT IS NOT A MATCH and should not be considered a match.   They are not addressing any of the lies [redacted] told me — such as the committee declined my request for refund, but that [redacted] told me it had not declined and it was still in review. They are not addressing the lie that [redacted] told me [redacted] was the president, but she is actually another client director. They are not addressing the fact that the last match they found ([redacted]), they did not give me his contact information.  I paid $6000 for this service, I expect contact information.  Why should [redacted] only receive my confidential contact information and not me? Because, I believe that there is no [redacted].  If he was the only one to receive contact information, then they violated my confidentiality and I firmly believe that this alone will be enough to void the contract.    I insist on a refund.  I cannot and will not trust this company in such an important matter as my love life.  They have not fulfilled, in any way, what they promised to do for my love life.  Worse, they have lied and misrepresented the truth at every step.    Regards,
[redacted]

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted].  To begin my complaint, I have followed the instructions, I agreed too. I reached out twice with complaints to RI Matchmakers,  but their complaint department and matchmaking department is the same, which is unprofessional and unethical. To date,  the company has provided eight men

To Whom It May Concern,We called Ms. [redacted] today and left her a message to discuss this situation. We ask that she returns our call as soon as possible.Kindest Regards,Rhode Island Matchmakers

To Whom It May Concern,We are in receipt of Ms. [redacted] complaint and will address her situation below.Ms. [redacted] joined our services on 10/21/15 and purchased 8 matches. We have found 13 compatible, potential gentlemen to match her with. Unfortunately, not all of these matches worked out, for...

one reason or another. Ms. [redacted] was given information about each man when a match was presented to her. Every man that we found for Ms. [redacted] showed to be most mutually compatible with her, according to their profile information. Ms. [redacted] agreed to meet the men she arranged dates with. We did not count quite a few of the referrals and some were cancelled. Since certain matches did not materialize, we are continuing our search for Ms. [redacted]. We want Ms. [redacted] to understand that we have her best interest at heart and only want success for her.Yes, we do have various men in our program. We are unable to provide an exact number of clients in our program, as our active (available) client list changes on a regular basis – clients go on hold, they become unavailable, they meet someone special, etc. In addition, we can only match our clients with those who are compatible. Sometimes we may have clients in mind for someone, but once they complete their online profile and compatibility questionnaire, we are then able to research and determine whether or not a couple is ultimately compatible with one another. We are very selective of whom we match our clients with. Our only goal is success with each and every match we put together. As you can see, we have been working very hard on behalf of Ms. [redacted] and only want to continue working for her. We know there is someone special out there for her. Please note that Ms. [redacted] signed an agreement which states that the only time a refund is possible is within the client’s 3-day right to rescind. Therefore, a refund would not be an option at this time. Also, Ms. [redacted] signed a client obligation form which states that she agrees to meet all of her matches in order to give our company the full opportunity to meet her expectations of the program. She also agrees not to go to any outside agency before trying to resolve any issues directly with Client Services. If they still cannot correct the problem, Ms. [redacted] agrees to allow Client Services to set up a phone meeting with a senior member of the Client Resolution Team to try to resolve the complaint to her satisfaction. We left her a voice message to discuss her program and concerns. As we stated, we want nothing more than to continue working with Ms. [redacted] and help her find someone special. We hope to have this resolved and move forward in a positive direction.Rhode Island Matchmakers  Thank you,Rhode Island Matchmakers

We are in receipt of Ms. [redacted] rejection to our response. As we previously stated, we found 3 gentlemen for Ms. [redacted] thus far. We did not present one of the men, as we ultimately decided not to put the match together, per our last response. However, we were trying to prove how we have been working hard for Ms. [redacted] behind the scenes. Ms. [redacted] declined meeting the first man presented to her, we did not set up the second match and the third match did not materialize, because the gentleman was currently unavailable, as he was assisting his daughter with moving out of state. All of the men we have found for Ms. [redacted] as potential matches are all real and true clients. It is upsetting to think that Ms. [redacted] feels that these men are fictitious or do not exist. We work hard on behalf of all of our clients and our goal is for everyone to be successful in our program. We are an honest and hard-working company. As we previously explained, the agreement which Ms. [redacted] signed states that the Client fee is non-refundable. In addition, there is a clause in the agreement regarding arbitration which Ms. [redacted] initialed next to. If Ms. [redacted] truly believes that we have done something wrong, she has agreed to handle any disputes via arbitration. We do not want to go this route, but if Ms. [redacted] is considering contacting an attorney, we ask her to review all terms of her signed agreement. All we are attempting to do is assist Ms. [redacted] in finding someone special. We sincerely wish to help her. We ask that she has a change of heart and reconsiders continuing the services. We will be here for her.

Date: 6/13/17 Re: [redacted] Case #: [redacted]   To Whom It May Concern, We are surprised to receive this complaint from Mr. [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] has received our services thus far and everything has been provided to him exactly as it was described to him both verbally during his interview and...

according to the paperwork he signed and received copies of. After Mr. [redacted] joined our services and completed his online profile, his account was activated. We matched him with his first referral on 4/5. They met one another for a date. We then matched Mr. [redacted] with another woman on 4/11. He contacted us on 4/12 and asked if someone called our office on his behalf, because he is now claiming he is “not well” to date. Mr. [redacted] signed a form agreeing that he is in good health and has no limitations which would prevent him from following through with our program. In addition, Mr. [redacted] would have had to send a cancellation letter in writing by the end of the day on 4/5 in order to be eligible for a refund, per his signed agreement. Shortly thereafter, Mr. [redacted] filed a credit card dispute. We provided the requested documentation and the case was closed in our favor. We immediately reached out to Mr. [redacted], discussed his fears and he agreed to move forward with his program. He received a new match on 6/6. Now, we have received this complaint, to our dismay. In addition to signing a non-refundable agreement, Mr. [redacted] also signed a client obligation form which states he agrees he must meet all of his purchased matches in order to give us the full opportunity to meet his expectations of the program. He also agrees not to go to any outside agency prior to trying to resolve any issues directly with our staff. Everything has been right on schedule with Mr. [redacted]’ program. We ask that he maintains an optimistic attitude and gives the program a fair chance.  Thank you, Rhode Island Matchmakers
