It took them five months to do the repairs They exaggerated damages in every area They were paid to replace ceilings in every room but did not replace even the one room that contained the fire When we took the ceiling fan down, it was black under the canopy I had upgraded kitchen cabinets, when replacing them I was only shown a piece of wood for color but not the door I now have cheap cabinets I asked for drawers under the stove top and was willing to pay the difference I got a stack of 9" drawers next to the stove top My son is an electrician and originally did all the wiring of the house I told RHS we would do the electrical work and made arrangements with his employer Without talking to me, they went ahead and hired their own electricians and now I have no GFI receptacles where they should be and every cover plate is cracked Their painters painted the ceilings without covering recessed lighting so they did not work until we sanded the paint out of the contact point I HATE shinny paint and there was none previous to the fire They painted the bathrooms and kitchen with semi-gloss because "it is standard" I made them repaint one bath but still have the rest They talked me into wood flooring instead of the commercial grade vinyl planks I had before I gave in to it but said I wanted it run EXACTLY the same way the planks were run I arrived to find the wood run straight from the front to back Even the flooring contractor said he questioned the direction but was told front to backIn the end the claim resulted in an amount near the value of my house
I could write a book on my experience with RHS but the bottom line is, if you expect your house to be restored to what it was, don't hire RHS Your insurance company will also thank you, or drop you as they did me
