I had signed contract for Michael Nash to finish the basement in my home in Ashburn The contract was signed and paid in full for in June of At the time, the owner, MrSonny N***, said that they had a cancellation and would be able to start work in the third week of August After a series of setbacks, delays and excuses, work was finally started in April of At that time, I was given a schedule detailing the work and completion was estimated for mid-July However, work has been sporadic at best often with breaks of 3-weeks where nothing was done at all I have already brought the issue up with MrN*** twice, once in July when it was clear project would not be completed as scheduled and again in late October/early November during which time MrN*** promised the basement would be completed by the end of It is still a long ways from completion
On 4/17/I contracted with Michael Nash to do a complete bathroom tear out and remodelI chose MNash after reading reviews on Angie’s List and noting on MNash’s website their awards for outstanding remodeling projectsThe website stated they had won more awards than any other company in the metro areaThey hold a Angie’s List super service award
Work was to start in September but did not commence until 1/12/with work done only two days per week with a range of hours from 2-to 5-per day
Electrical failed first inspection
Shower notches’ mitered corners were sloppily cutOne had a sharp edge that protrudedMNash refused to redoThey did file the sharp edge
Shower head low water pressureTold Moen shower head had a control valveWhen water dripped through the basement ceiling the cause of low pressure was revealed
Basement ceiling under shower torn outMold exposed
After remediation, failed inspection because sealant had not been applied
Michael nash took my money I trusted a glitzey reputation and advertisement campaign months later they have not completed anything An interior bathroom is closest Useable bit not niceOutside patio and deck projects remain non useable I should have read the reviews here They promise, take your money, and fail to deliverDo not give them your money
One year ago tomorrow, I signed a contract with Michael Nash to build a screened porch onto our home., with full payment upfront for a discountThe estimated time given was 10-weeks, beginning in December, A year later, the porch is not nearly completedAccounting for a rainy 2018, there have been many dry weeks where no one has shown upDon’t know what I have to do to get this project completed! months ago I gave Michael Nash a very large sum of money representing 50% down payment for large addition they estimated would take months Months later, Michael Nash has made mistakes that have caused the project to be delayed, nobody has been on site to do work in almost days and I'd say the project is only 10% done They take all of your money so you have no recourse I can't stress enough that this approach to business is habitual for them and everyone I speak with or read about online states the same thing They have lied to me on so many occasions I've lost track, are disorganized and seem to be in the business of taking your money with little dedication to complete a project As a consumer, this feels like pure extortion
