Dear Dispute Resolution Team
First of all, [redacted] made the complaint to the wrong entity. Rhythm n Blues Racing put on the run not Finish Strong Sports (FSS). FSS was just a sponsor. Anyway, below is the email trail where we responded to [redacted] notifying her that she can drop by FSS and pick up her Shirt.
MOST major races do not have race day packet pick-up for runners. It requires too much effort with transporting the items and requires hundreds of volunteers. Runners living out of town can have someone pick up their packet for them, or in some cases can arrange for their packet or bib be transported to the race by a staffer of the event.....if they contact them in advance.
The Rhythm and Blues Half had runners from 38 different STATES and most picked up their at the store or had someone pick it up for them.
We have had approximately 20 request to pick up their packet after the race at our sponsor FSS and they all have been picked up. Fortunately, our sponsor has the capacity to handle these request. MOST races pack up and move back to an office after the race.
As for not getting a medal after running as a Bandit that's also normal. Actually, [redacted] should not have been allowed on the course without a bib. If this had been the Houston Marathon she would have gotten in trouble for going cross the finish line . Having a bib means you are officially in the race. If volunteers are allowed to give out medals for bandits, hundreds of runners would jump in and do our run because we give away some nice bling.
Unfortunately, [redacted] is not use to doing road races, If she were, she would know that we have gone above and beyond to accommodate our runners.
Like the email below says, she is welcome to pick up her shirt and had that was given out to runners prior to running the race. However, she is not entitled to a medal since she did not officially run the race.
We received  an email from [redacted] and responded saying she could pick one up. SEE BELOW. However, she either made the complaint before we could respond or ignored it.
