Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] Please add your rejection comments below Four installers came to my home on 4/ The first thing they did was to detach my storm door from the top and bottom restraints to open it all the way beyond the position The door was kept in this position throughout the installation as they came in & out a number of times to re-measure & refine the sections of granite on a portable worktable in my front yardThis was not a windy day that I can recall but I was aware that the storm door was open well beyond its position throughout the approximately minutes with men going in & out during various stages of the preparation & installation I did not notice the damage (screws pulled out from the doorframe both top & bottom) at that time simply because they closed the storm door on their way out & I closed the inner door which due to cold weather I did not open again for the next days When I did open the inner door & the storm door to admit a friend, I saw for the first time that screws were pulled out & the doorframe was cracked My friend then noticed the same damage to the screws and doorframe at the top I chose not to call Ricciardi marble & granite but to go there in person with my friend & with several photos of the damage to show to the owner (***) He was not pleased but to get us out of the store said he would stop by to look at the door later that same day We waited & [redacted] was a no show without even the courtesy of a phone call or any further contact whatsoever! He considers himself a customer oriented businessman however he refuses to consider the fact that he at least owes me the courtesy of a follow up Regards, [redacted]

We were hired to install a fireplace surround by the customerWe installed the fireplace surround on April 13thThe customer was at the home during the installation to let the guys inThe pieces of stone that were installed were approximately 8" wide by 32" long along with the hearth that
was 16" wideThere would have been no reason to have to "force the door open." The pieces were easily carried under the installers arm into the homeThe customer claims "they did not notice the broken door until two weeks later" when they came in on April 27th to complainThe photos that were presented showing the damage clearly indicate that the door was damaged most likely by the windHad the customer brought this to our attention the day of installation we would have immediately assessed the damageI do not feel that the damage to the door was our doing and therefore will not be held responsible in replacing itI value my customers and if I felt that my installers were careless I would absolutely accommodate them in any way possible

Four installers came to my home on 4/13.  The first thing they did was to detach my storm door from the top and bottom restraints to open it all the way beyond the normal position.  The door was kept in this position throughout the installation as they came  in & out a number of times to re-measure & refine the 3 sections of granite on a portable worktable in my front yard. This was not a windy day that I can recall but I was aware that the storm door was open well beyond its normal position throughout the approximately 20 minutes with 4 men going in & out during various stages of the preparation & installation.  I did not notice the damage (screws pulled out from the doorframe both top & bottom) at that time simply because they closed the storm door on their way out & I closed the inner door which due to cold weather I did not open again for the next 12 days.  When I did open the inner door & the storm door to admit a friend, I saw for the first time that screws were pulled out & the doorframe was cracked.  My friend then noticed the same damage to the screws and doorframe at the top.  I chose not to call Ricciardi marble & granite but to go there in person with my friend & with several photos of the damage to show to the owner ([redacted]).  He was not pleased but to get us out of the store said he would stop by to look at  the door later that same day .  We waited & [redacted] was a no show without even the courtesy of a phone call or any further contact whatsoever!  He considers himself a customer oriented businessman however he refuses to consider the fact that he at least owes me the courtesy of a follow up.
