Review: In April 2012 [redacted] was hired to do landscaping work at my home. Specifically, put it concrete curbing or "edging" around my home. The work was completed in May 2012. In the February 2013 [redacted] was contacted to quote some paint work and at that time we discussed cracking that had formed in the curbing over the winter. [redacted] came to the house and looked at the cracking and agreed that it needed repaired. He stated that in the spring he would "make it right". Knowing that the contracting business was a second career for Mr. [redacted], I did not pressure him. Believing that he would come and take care of the work. In August 2013 I started calling and leaving messages for him to call. No return phone call was received. In February 2014 I started calling Mr. [redacted] again about the work. Finally, on March 17, 2014 I received a text message from Mr. [redacted] stating that he got my messages and was "living by the saying that you got what you paid for." He apologized and asked that I "be patient." I immediately text him back and asked that he call me to discuss.I did not receive a phone call from Mr. [redacted]. When the Mon-Valley Home and Garden Show (April 5, 2014) I decided to go and see if Mr. [redacted] was a exhibitor. He was and I asked what he could do about the sub-quality work. He asked me what I wanted him to do. I told him that I wanted him to do what he initially said he would do and make it right. I asked that he call me to come out and look at the work. He said he would. It has now been over a month and I am yet to hear from him, while the curbing is deteriorating even more.Desired Settlement: I would like Mr. [redacted] to contact me to set an appointment to come and look at the work done and we discuss viable options.

Review: Let me first state that this is the second time I have filed this same complaint that went unresolved. In the Spring of 2012 I hired the contractor to perform landscaping work to be done at my home. I price was agreed upon and the contractor was paid in cash the agreed upon amount at the completion of the project. I spoke with the contractor about the work done in the winter of 2012 and that the landscaping was cracking and he stated that he would be back in the Spring to fix it and "make it right".

After many phone calls and text messages that went unanswered it wasn't until I met the contractor at the local Builders Show and confronted him to ask about doing what he said he would do and make it right. Again, no resolve. Finally, after a Revdex.com complaint was filed did the contractor reach out. The contractor did respond to the Revdex.com complaint and finally in 2014 he committed to replace a portion of the cracked landscaping. The contractor even went as far to tell me that his thought was that " I got what I paid for". A price that we BOTH agreed upon. It wasn't until August/September of 2014, 2 years after the original work was completed, that he came out picked up the broken concrete landscaping. In September I tried to text him to ask when he was planning on coming back and there was no response.

It has now been three years since the work was done. Being in customer service and owning my own business for many years I have never experienced such unprofessionalism.Desired Settlement: At this point I have no interest in having the work redone or even a refund of the damaged product. I would like the contractor contacted by the Revdex.com and have it on record of the unprofessional and unsatisfactory service. If the contractor feels that something is warranted then I can be contacted. But given the level of professionalism shown to date I don't believe that will happen.
