Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:There is no resolutionWhen I called and emailed several times in the first few weeks of owning the car, yes the salesman told me I could bring the vehicle in, but they would only service the car at a cost to meThe dealership is in Shoreline, WA and I live in Tacoma, WAThere is no reason for me to drive a faulty vehicle some nearly miles to have it looked at by a business that I already don't trust, when I can take it to my trusted mechanic near my homeI have taken the vehicle to my mechanic, and after weeks of running several diagnostic tests and consulting his peers on the issues, he couldn't pinpoint the problem, all while I was out of a vehicleHe suggested that I take it to the local Nissan dealership, where they may be more familiar with the quirks of this particular model. On 08/11/15, while I was driving to the Nissan dealership and then going into my work, the car broke down on I-in trafficThankfully, I was able to get to the shoulder before the car rolled to a complete stopI could have been severely injured in worse circumstancesI then called [redacted] for a tow truck to take me to the Nissan dealershipOn this particular day, I lost hours of paid work because of this situationThe Nissan dealership mechanic found several problems with the car, starting with the alternator and intake flapQuote: "I have never seen an alternator this bad"The cost to fix this will be over $1000, and they are telling me that even with this fixed, they cannot guarantee that the underlying issue is not a faulty transmission, which will cost me in the area of $to replace. As you can see, I am very frustrated with the fraud that Rich's Car Corner has pulled on me, and I am even more insulted at their response to my original complaintI will not consider this complaint "resolved" until they take responsibility for selling me a dangerous and faulty car.Sincerely, [redacted] ***

*** *** purchased a Nissan Murano from Rich’s Car Corner on 05/10/She has called the salesman multiple times complaining that there is a problem with the carThe salesman has told her each time to bring in the car so we can look at it to see what is wrongEach time she has said
okay she will bring in the car, but so far she has not brought it inIt has now been months since she bought the car
She has not provided us with any details of what is wrong with the car, nor has she provided any details in this complaint about what is wrong with the carWe cannot help her with the problem if she does not provide any information on what these other mechanics say is wrong with it and if she will not bring the car in so we can look at it
If she brings in the car, we will look at it and then we will tell her what we can do to help herUntil then, there is nothing we can do

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
I feel I am not liable for the condition of this carThe business is stating that they are not liable because I did not drive the car directly to them when the car began to have problems, although that would have caused me to put my safety at risk driving an unsafe car almost milesThey are also stating that they are not liable because they have not seen the car in three months, although it has been in and out of mechanics for two out of those the months, so there is no feasible way that the damage was caused by my driving
It is obvious that the car had been tampered with and was in a dangerous condition when I bought it
Sincerely,*** ***

Rich’s Car Corner did not glue any part back together. We did not tamper with anything on this car. There is no fraud and nothing to hide because we did not work on the intake. The alternator failed because it is a regular maintenance item and regular maintenance items need to be replaced from time to time. The intake and the alternator are unrelated components that do not affect each other’s performance.
We offered to look at the car when the customer first called and for whatever reason, she chose to take the car elsewhere.  It has now been 3 months since she purchased the car and it is no longer possible to determine what was broken when she bought it and what broke in the intervening 3 months.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:There is no resolution. When I called and emailed several times in the first few weeks of owning the car, yes the salesman told me I could bring the vehicle in, but they would only service the car at a cost to me. The dealership is in Shoreline, WA and I live in Tacoma, WA. There is no reason for me to drive a faulty vehicle some nearly 50 miles to have it looked at by a business that I already don't trust, when I can take it to my trusted mechanic near my home. I have taken the vehicle to my mechanic, and after 2 weeks of running several diagnostic tests and consulting his peers on the issues, he couldn't pinpoint the problem, all while I was out of a vehicle. He suggested that I take it to the local Nissan dealership, where they may be more familiar with the quirks of this particular model. On 08/11/15, while I was driving to the Nissan dealership and then going into my work, the car broke down on I-5 in traffic. Thankfully, I was able to get to the shoulder before the car rolled to a complete stop. I could have been severely injured in worse circumstances. I then called [redacted] for a tow truck to take me to the Nissan dealership. On this particular day, I lost 3 hours of paid work because of this situation. The Nissan dealership mechanic found several problems with the car, starting with the alternator and intake flap. Quote: "I have never seen an alternator this bad". The cost to fix this will be over $1000, and they are telling me that even with this fixed, they cannot guarantee that the underlying issue is not a faulty transmission, which will cost me in the area of $5000 to replace. As you can see, I am very frustrated with the fraud that Rich's Car Corner has pulled on me, and I am even more insulted at their response to my original complaint. I will not consider this complaint "resolved" until they take responsibility for selling me a dangerous and faulty car.Sincerely,[redacted]
